They can't give everybody a playlist, then you got a Halo Reach scenario with 20+ fuckin' playlists and different bloom settings in the same playlists.
But the FFA playlist just being Regicide is just...
Especially considering that all you would have to do is use the model for the sentry that already exists. Seriously, just swap the models and you're done.

I have an ongoing qualm with AAs on a fundamental level. Even though it seems like Thruster is all I'll really gravitate towards, why does the game lock me into it? They barely touched the concept of swapping out AAs mid-life in Reach and it seems like it'll stay that way for 4. It just never sat easy with me that there's an element of my person that can't be changed outside of death once it's selected, that's always gone against what I know Halo to be.
Then again, I guess we're just going one step further down the rabbit hole this time with perks and whatnot. Ah well, at least Slayer Pro is a thing that exists.

I'm so glad your not the one who decides which community to throw under a bus - In my eyes its clear that firefight and snipers 'belong' in halo more than action sack does so I support the decisions there.
I'm on my mobile now so can't really throw down a good post - but snipers has been around since halo 1 - and had a dedicated fan base since then. Action sack was hardly that great anyway - its not like bungie put fun modes into it.
Firefight is a whole different experience which deserves a 4 person mode.
That is all relevant in matchmaking, and I agree at least to some extent.
However removing player control of things like sprint and flag auto-pickup in Custom Games can and should rightfully be shit on. Making custom games and gametypes, and re-making classic Halo maps has been a big thing in the community, and they are actively taking away those tools for no good reason.
If there's ONE thing I think everyone can agree on, is that at least 343 didn't fuck us with retarded multiplayer achievements like 3/ODST/Reach.
Half the problem with reach (and halo 3) was keeping the maps for pay
Halo 2 had its playlists expand slightly and then compress when the maps went free
It was a beautiful system.
Ended up with too many DLC playlists on top of the "fun" modes

Actually, yeah, on a positive note thank god for that. So many people try to copy COD and forget that they should copy that they don't add in any ridiculous player behaviour altering achievements. There's always those DLC maps though.

So I show a plan that gets rid of both Action Sack AND snipers in a consolidation, so you're glad I don't make decisions because your choice would be to keep playlists that barely remain functioning because you can't separate emotions from what's needed and delete just one playlist that nobody is playing anyway. The last time I played Halo 3 Actionsack, I played games that the entire population of that playlist was in the game with me.
That kind of 'trying to please everyone' shit never works. You need to make hard decisions and have a bit of heartlessness if you ever want to effectively manage a game's online functionality. A playlist does not earn some innate right to exist forever once it's created. Look at the stats, make playlists, then get rid of them before they go completely downhill to keep the population solvent and healthy. If you really want to play gametypes from a dead playlist, customs are available.
Interestingly, the only playlist that was locked into existence from Reach disc achievements was Invasion. Then the DLC achievements happened.

Already planning on just listening to music when playing. Halo generally isn't chaotic enough to really require me to have in-game sound, although Halo 4 maybe will be different in that regard.

Gameplay decisions aside, I'm at least glad it seems like Halo 4 is channeling that magical feeling 2 and 3 had. With Halo 3 I forged like every week, did customs all the time, actively took screenshots, all of that. I utilized the entire game "sandbox" so to speak. With reach I just get on for stupid Big Team Battle and playing with GAF maybe once a month. Hopefully I'll be back to wasting my life with Halo when 4 comes out.
EDIT: can a thief/legit German show us the lighting options in forge? I mean colored orbs and stuff like in Halo 3's Sandbox/Reach forge. If we have enough tools to bathe parts of the map in dynamic colors to help alleviate the issues (especially since pieces are dynamic and white now meaning they'll absorb more light as opposed to gray) I honestly wouldn't mind being able to change object colors.

Welll, I don't know, maybe when you are told there is going to be a CLASSIC playlist, you are expecting to have CLASSIC settings, I fail to see how a Halo game with Sprint can be considered Classic Settings.
Halo 4 is going to be a great FPS game but a bad Halo game.

8. Minor inconvenience, not a game changer by any means. People who played it said it was barely noticeable. Still think its a bit silly though.
9. I still think changing shades alone won't make it look better 95 percent of the time. What they should have offered is different looking textures/object types. Terrain editing would have been nice, but get real.
10. What do you need this for? Honest question, just haven't thought any use for it.
