What happened to the OT? If you say you are going to do it, do it.
What is the point of the mirror in your estimation? I'm curious.I've little interest in analysing other people's reviews, but Eurogamer's is really odd. The reference to a mirror completely misses the point of it, for example.

(mild story spoiler)You come across a mirror more than once.
release date fo eu?
and is it move exclusive?
And I'm guessing you appear different in each mirror?
Almost sounds like a game trying to be too trendy for its own good and getting hype simply because its a Sony exclusive.
I hope there's a demo, because I almost fell for the hype with Journey but luckily the demo stopped me from jumping in there.
Lucky you avoided that piece of shit.I hope there's a demo, because I almost fell for the hype with Journey but luckily the demo stopped me from jumping in there.
From where, exactly?
Journey felt overhyped to me in the first twenty minutes. After I'd finished it, it was one of the most memorable gaming experiences I'd had in yearsAlmost sounds like a game trying to be too trendy for its own good and getting hype simply because its a Sony exclusive.

Judging Journey by a short demo with no multiplayer is ridiculous

Yes? Or do you only ever buy games with demos? So you suggest I fork over the money and hope for the best?
There is no "hype" with Journey, only truth. It's a magnificent experience. Maybe not the most engaging game in the world, purely from a mechanical standpoint, but my Lord, I was nearly in tears by the end. A seriously, magical, transcendent experience for me.Almost sounds like a game trying to be too trendy for its own good and getting hype simply because its a Sony exclusive.

But that's the issue with having a demo.Judging Journey by a short demo with no multiplayer is ridiculous
This is of course not a sure way to go about, but if 72 reviewers out of 73 reviews on Metacritic liked it then that should mean that there is a high probability that a random person also likes it.Satchel said:So you suggest I fork over the money and hope for the best?

Im guessing you've missed some of the best games this gen if that is your philosophyGenerally yeah. This gen, the vast majority of my purchases of new IPs have come after a demo, or trying the game first in some fashion.
Why would I risk throwing money away based on Internet hype?
Made that mistake only a couple of times this gen. Once on Castlevania on XBLA.

Nothingwhat the hell else should we use a demo for?
SOTN and Journey? You say you "made that mistake" as if you bought bad games based on good reviews. You bought good games, but didn't really like them. That's not a purchasing mistake, that questionable taste.Made that mistake only a couple of times this gen. Once on Castlevania on XBLA.

My review has just gone live. Nothing quite as fancy as The Sixth Axis' fantastic presentation here, but hopefully the text gets you all excited. I honestly enjoyed this game more than Journey -- which is saying a lot!

GAF. Various web sites. I understand the art house appeal of the visuals, but art house lends itself well to movies. Not games so much. Like I said, hopefully there's a demo because throwing paint around to reveal your path doesn't sound all that fun.
Hah.
1. Isn't that a store, and not a professional journalist?
2. What kind of score is that, an excellent/what?
3. Link is broken anyway.
Review threads, man. I love 'em.2. What kind of score is that, an excellent/what?
So what exactly is your basis for suggesting that this game has only received hype because it's a Sony exclusive? It won the GCA's Best Downloadable game of E3, which is an award that comes from votes from over two dozen sites/mags. And only one of those is a "Playstation" mag.
