I think Lotus is a better album than anyone would want to admit, but Back To Basics is still her best.

Xtincta would immediately redeem herself in my eyes if she made an album full of nu-soul babymakers and old-school R&B jams.
Mariah's the one who needs to make a jazz album ASAP. Her voice can't handle even middling ballads like Triumphant anymore, but her improvisational skills haven't diminished.

I like that one that sounds like Girl Gone Wild and Best of Me. Thats about it.
That's my feeling as well. Xtina is getting older and I'd like to see her explore other genres more rather than try to be hip.

Everything about the Back To Basics era was so lyfe giving.
however, musically, I don't think it ranks higher than Stripped or Bionic.
Lotus is not bad at all, but I just don't feel it measures up to the greatness of her trinity.
I might do a renewed review of it. I'm kinda changed on a lot of songs now.

Would like to get one out in its first year stateside. Waiting any longer would make it a bit redundant.
