They are both 45 fps.
Wii U doesn't usually hit it, but 3DS is locked at it I believe.
3DS seems to hit 60fps in some sparse areas. Maybe its just me.
In any event, it runs much better than the Wii U version.

Getting used to the 3DS controls, will probably stick with SA and DS for main weapons.
Btw, how do you ejaculate with the SA? The manual mentioned pressing the R button but that just changed the modes.
X+A, then spam X until you orgasm.

Wii U Exclusive Software "Packet Relay Tool" is now available!
"Packet Relay Tool" is software to enable internet play in the 3DS game "Monster Hunter 3G".
By connecting with the "Packet Relay Tool", you can form parties of up to 4 people for co-op play with players far away, anywhere they are.
Things to look out for
- Only one 3DS can be connected to a single Wii U at any one time.
- The Wii U Software "Monster Hunter 3G HD Ver." can't be booted up while the tool is in use.
- In order to play over the internet, at least one person among the maximum of 4 that are playing must own the Wii U Software "Monster Hunter 3G HD ver.". The tool is designed to let you connect to a room created by a Wii U version player, and cannot create rooms by itself.
- You can't play the game with just this software.
What you need to play online
In order to use this software to connect "Monster Hunter 3G" online, the following is necessary:
- 1 Wii LAN Adapter
- 1 LAN Cable
- 1 Wii U with this software installed
- 1 Nintendo 3DS/LL
- 1 copy of 3DS Software "Monster Hunter 3G"
Did you read the manual, maybe there's something there.By the way how do you draw with instant reload with bowgun? Did they remove that in 3G? It's been bugging me for awhile.
You need a Wii U and a LAN Adapter (currently Japan only). Please excuse my serious lack of knowledge/confusion when it comes to MH and releases. I just sorta became interested in the series for the first time(spent a lot of time playing the Souls games in the last few months and MH seems like it can scratch that itch a bit differently).
What is up with online play on the 3DS? Do you need a Wii U and some variety of adapter? If so I feel like we've stepped back in time ten years. Granted, Nintendo has always been stuck back in time.
Secondly, assuming you have the right setup to play online, how does that work as far as lobbies, finding friends and chat?
I'm interested in the game now but I don't have a Wii U. It would suck if online play was straight up not an option for me. MH seems like it'd be a blast with others.

And this is not anyone's fault, MH3U is a straight localization from MH3G which came out months ago in Japan, Capcom didn't have the time to make an online mode.
For the 3DS version, you can't create rooms and I guess you can't voice-chat either, you use text messages and join other people to play online.
And if this is your first MH game, I don't know why you are so desperate to go online, you just gonna feel lost and think the game sucks. It's much better for you to learn the hopes playing offline, then you jump online.
And as a fan of DS, you gonna have a blast with MH single-player, it's much more challenging, believe me!

Wait Nintendo of America still hasn't announced the XL CPP?
Man NA folks are getting screwed over...
Thanks guys.
Sammy, it's not that I'm eager to go online from the start but I'd like to have the option once I get a hang of solo play. Aside from that, MH just seems like the kind of game that would be a blast with others.
Wut? So only one 3DS in a group or up to three?
Is there even a CPP for the xl? I haven't kept up on the 3DS in a while.
It's out in Japan and will hit Europe as the same time as this game. NA XL players are screwed.

Import one.
It's not really well explained, but what this means is that the creator of the lobby MUST be a Wii U player, since the app has no way of creating lobbies itself. The other three player slots can be filled by any combination of Wii U and bridged 3DS players.Wut? So only one 3DS in a group or up to three?
--Sweet Jesus, I hope the final game has mappable controls. I played Tri with the Wii remote-chuck combo, & had no complaints. On the GamePad, I'm sipping potions on accident every three seconds & fumbling for the roll button. Do the ZL & SR triggers do anything? Surely I'll get used to them, but the button locations are currently a hurdle.
Just want to repost this as well. Was a Wiimote only user on Tri and going to the gamepad is proving harder than the monsters.Getting used to the new controller is proving tougher than any fight the monsters put up. I put around 1000 hours into Tri and did it with only the wiimote/nunchuck. I played the demo with the gamepad for about 2 hours so far. I have to knock down that mental illusion that the new should be the same as the old. Classic controller and wiimote/chuck are two different beasts. I can't say I had much trouble with the quests though. I can get the job done just fine but I'll be happy when I work out my clumsy grasp of the controls. Popping potions when I'm trying to draw and reloading when I'm trying to pull my gun back can get annoying.

The demo on the 3ds says it doesn't support the CPP, is this the case for the full release? If so, importing one won't do much good.

It seems like only one 3DS can be paired up with a Wii U at a time, which doesn't make much sense since AHP let as many join as you could hold, but I blame weird Nintendo/Capcpom netcode for that one.
But I'm lazy. =/
Just beat Lagombi for the second time on the 3DS demo. I can't seem to get the timing right for a Lvl 3 charge using GS. I played Tri and I was really good at that aspect of it but I seemed to have lost that skill. Any tips?
Argh!.... I...just can't come to grips with dual stick control pads. I NEED Wii mote/nunchuck controls asap.
Ok, so the description of the bridge software makes it sound like the you can't play M3U on Wii U along with a 3DS player in the same room? The Wii U w/ software can only act as a bridge to let the 3DS version go online?
Makes no sense. Why wouldn't you just play the console version if you own it, and are there in the room.

The flash needs to happen in the direction he monster is looking at. Just like flashbangs in real life.ok so do flash bombs not work on plesioth or do you have to throw them at the right moment?

well thats obvious, but it didn't stun him, eh i'll learn![]()

Wait what? I always brought a full suite of Flash Bombs to Tigrex fights in FU because they could be used to knock him out of stun.If it is in rage mode (you can see it's breath) then that means flash/sonic bombs won't stun it. When it is normal, it will be stunned. If it's drooling, then it will be stunned for a longer period of time.

Does the 3DS demo supports the Circle Pad Pro?

The WiiU version seems to hang at a framerate higher than 30 the majority of the time on my end, but it does seem to have an odd slight stutter at times.
Whoops typo, meant rage. Tigrex in rage mode is one giant ball of Angry so you want to avoid that at all cost.Different monsters behave differently? I always used it to stun. I only played Tri however, and that is how it pretty much worked.
Yeah, so weak. NOA just doesn't give a shit about us. I just ordered one off Amazon for about $30 shipped ....
.... within 18-32 business days. Hopefully it's here by release!
