So when are we getting this beta? Preordered the game, bought that BF3 premium, even bought that crap MOH! Give it to me NOW!

If Battlefield 3 was any indication, I think they are aiming for end of October release date so:

June - E3
Cam Quality
Multiplayer Footage/Stream with 1 good HD trailer that will go around the internets.

Late August - Possible 1st Closed Beta

Late Sept. - Another Beta, maybe open to stress test

Can we get some info on sales instead of "No, you are totally wrong. The [insert platform] sold way more." I'm actively looking for stuff, but I can't find any accurate or reliable info regarding sales per platforms. So far, it seems that it has sold(shipped) at least 15 millions copies.

My gut feeling is that the 360 version comes first, followed by the PS3 and the PC behind. That seems to be the traditional model. What is frustrating is that companies rarely talk about performance on the digital side. It would be incredibly interesting to see how they compare with the physical world. When you see something like Skyrim being played by 280k concurrent players, you can't help wonder what it means in terms of copies sold.

indeed, according to BF3stats.com PS3 has consistently had the highest concurrent playerbase for a looooong time now, and PC has more player profiles checked on that site than PS3 and 360 combined.

Where do you see the state for "more player profiles checked"?

That network's Bad Company 2 stats site showed total unique players detected on servers, which is a number that can be safely used to correlate with total sales:

http://bfbcs.com/

360: 4,431,103
PC: 3,883,424
PS3: 3,650,824

I don't see any such stat for Battlefield 3 though.

This was from 2011

BF3 Xbox 360 sales outnumber PS3 and PC sales combined

Keep in mind that it doesn't include digital PC sales

Any stats that exclude digital sales on PC are so incredibly useless for comparing sales across platforms. Not only because of how prevalent digital sales have been on PC for years now, but more importantly because each of those sales easily brings in 3-4x the profit for EA compared to a single retail sale.

What's interesting is that you can see the platform spread shift significantly throughout the day. During the day in the United States, the 360 wins. During the day in Europe, PC and PS3 easily have the most people playing.

You know, I've actually seen like 5 sites that have the exact same article as the one I posted, all of them saying "3rd party sales trackers". Hell, it probably means ******** was their source

You can amount of profiles here. I'm pretty sure there can be only one BF 3 profile per Origin account.

This is pretty funny. People in here has listed sources of 360 >> PS3, yet those who denies it doesnt come up with a source?

Are you trying to be funny? They were listed after your post, and after my post. Plus they're from 2011 and don't even include digital sales, which is a vast majority of PC sales.

There's always more people playing online on PC and PS3 than on 360, kinda of odd for a version that sold more don't you think?

Do people seriously expect this to not come out on PS4? Like actually seriously expect that?

I would love to live in your world for a day.

That doesn't really show anything since the total numbers are obviously a lot lower than actual sales, especially compared to the Bad Company 2 stats. Only the people who run that site could explain why each console only has a few hundred thousand profiles while the PC version shows more than a million profiles. There's absolutely nothing indicating that those numbers are proportional to sales in any way.

Global stats

PC online 38779

PS3 online 58207

360 online 57603

http://bf3stats.com/

Those are concurrent active users, not total unique users. Completely different metrics, and ones I separately called out while mentioning something else too in my post you quoted.

i mean that usrs only show up on the site if someone checks that particular player profile. yeah, not an ideal way to determine things and it's probably PC skewed...

i went to the leaderboards and went to the last page of the score leaderboard. there are over 1M on PC, 500k on PS3 and 350k on 360.

maybe at the times you check or something?

i haven't run a continual analysis, but i have noticed that 360 peaks later than PS3 and PC. i guess due to timezone differences, US players coming out later than euro... anyway, 360 definitely peaks higher than PC errrrryday, just not as high as PS3.

The biggest issue there is that it's clearly not capturing everything since a few financial reports ago EA was bragging about 5 million monthly unique users.

I dont remember this quote, but yeah, its only about 2 millions profiles there, which seems too low.

Was that deal for B3 on Origin limited time? I think it was 3 dollars. I'm in the mood to play this, but looking for a good deal.

As in: "PS4 and Xbox One versions are coming", not "there isn't going to be a PS4 version".
Oh
...OK I thought that was too big a money hat even for ms deep pockets

It's really not that hard to find this stuff.

Edit: Not really sure what the "Say what" is to but it's coming out on One/PS4.
Thought he meant it was exclusive to xbone now if only the console versions will match that reveal trailer....am I the only one still hyped by graphical experiences? BF4 looks amazing..

according to EA, PS4 version could be running at 1080p @ 60 fps.

Rajat Taneja, EA CTO, seemed very enthusiastic about Battlefield 4 saying that it is indeed “stunning”; he then follows up with an implication that PS4′s power is aiding the creative development of the title. The title runs in 1080p and 60FPS. “The imagination of the developers along with that power”; Rajat Taneja also sees the next generation of gaming consoles being 8-10x more powerful than this one we’re currently in.
