Re-watching the live gameplay demo. Some thoughts:
1. I wanted to re-emphasize how great the atmosphere is with the animals, skybox, the sound design, the music, and the art direction. Coupled all that with the a huge sense of scale, and you make for some fantastic places to explore.
2. "We also visit such cheerful places." A Halo callback. Cortona says "You always take me to such nice places" on the level "Delta Halo" in Halo 2.
3. Speaking of the AI, there can't be a Bungie game with an AI companion, and here he is! Was wondering how they were going to incorporate that.
4. The AI talks to himself. The lore of both Myth and Halo, if I'm not mistaken, has rampancy as a story point. Will it be in the Destiny universe?
5. UI is great. cc: @David Candland.
6. Game isn't finished, but hoping to see stronger visual and audio feedback from enemies.
7. Hoping you're as accurate shooting from the hip as you are aiming down the sights.
8. Bungie seems to have retained their fantastic ability to mask where enemies spawn.
9. Good to see that Bungie respects its female characters. The armor isn't ridiculous.
10. If you die, you can't spawn unless your partner revives you. Like Halo's co-op model, which I always enjoyed.
11. Loot! Loot is fun.
12. "Male human warlock." Are there other species?
13. An inventory system with an upgrade system for weapons. Sweet.
14. Glimmer? Weapon kit? We'll know these in due time.
15. Jason Jones says, "Shut up and get behind me." A possible callback to another Halo moment. It's from a section in Truth and Reconciliation called "Shut up and get behind me...Sir."
16. Public Events. Really curious to see who these play out in the final game. It seems like a battle where a huge number of people can join up at once. How do you time that, though?
17. Oh, those vehicles look like so much fun.
18. So much chaos and madness. I love it.
19. From what I can tell, there isn't any discernible health system for the player here. I'm assuming it'll have shields.
