yea it looks cool, i like the art
but something just felt off wasn't really wow'd

it felt like borderlands, gunplay seemed normal, people joining fluidly is kinda becoming the norm in fps co-op games now

so what else is there?

i'm down just was expecting a little more. have to wait and see.

My notes I took during the conference on the game:

Destiny. Gameplay premiere. Looks like a Bungie game. 4-armed alien dudes. Space Marine in a helmet. Bungie just had to get away from MS because they kept having to make Halo games. So they go and make another Halo-like game with new alien guys and slightly different space marines. Another game freezing. Same bum dev kit AC4 was running on? Nice looking game, but not stellar. Typical Bungie in that regard.

Oh hi, Guilty Spark. Bungie out of ideas confirmed. Hard to put together any kind of opinion on the enemy AI since these guys obviously know what's coming. Combination of corridors with some more open areas. Very Halo. Oh, now we're fighting a Hunter. You guys know you could have just made Halo 4, right? Probably would have been better than the game we got. Weapons level up. Giant Industrial Fans.

Here comes a covenant dropship. Lots of people running around. Look out for that Wraith. I mean Devil Walker.

So yeah. Destiny looks cool. It also looks a whole heck of a lot like a Halo with a lot of players running around. Easily the best game of this conference.

I was very vocal about my doubts and disappointment with the 2 destiny events coming up to this, but I am on board now.

That was some genuinely astonishing, clever gameplay right there. I know most people will just say "hey, shooting is nothing more than pointing and clicking," which is true for inferior shooters like Killzone, but there seemed to be some much deeper stuff going on in there that puts it on par with the best of the best shooters, like FEAR or Halo.

I was going to buy a PS4 to play this (because LOL Microsoft no) but... I don't want to pay for multiplayer.

Don't confuse "Halo" with "Bungie." A lot of this stuff is very Marathon.

God I still can't get over that gameplay. That game looked amazing. I want it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS4 DestinyGAF represent!!!!!!

Looks like it feels very much like Halo, from the weight/height of the jumps, the combat flow(although that can all change with the classes), etc. It's gorgeous, and that Marty soundtrack is sex to my ears.

My god that guy was annoying to watch/hear though. The forced banter, that laugh, his aiming was awful...

No. On PS3/4, 360/One.

Wow, so its a cross-gen game then?! also no PC?

Honestly, after this conference I think I´ll buy a PS3 and wait a couple of years before jumping in. The hilarious rub in with the no-DRM and internet-authentication was amazing, but the games weren't there.

I love it. The world design is so great, such a unique and interesting blending of fantasy, sci-fi, and post-apocalyptic worlds is not something I've ever seen before.

I'm still not totally sold on the inclusion of ADS but there's still plenty to see so I'm hoping it'll make sense down the line. Definitely my most anticipated game fr the foreseeable future.

looked pretty but I didn't really care for the gameplay, Borderlands make me snooze and this was just that minus the humor with more people.

The aiming seemed pretty much on par for a Dualshock controller. Will probably go get myself a custom one if this ends up not being on PC.

Realistic Borderlands?

Very heavy Star Wars influence.

It looked a lot prettier than I was expecting after the earlier footage/screens. I'm not sure if it's my cup of tea but it was more impressive than I thought it was going to be.

Wait. Am I the only person who completely lost it at the massive shockwave and the incredible sense of scale and the wall being reminiscent of a STALKER level?

Yeah, that's fair. Still doesn't change the fact that they keep doing the same thing over and over. ;)

now bring back Myth: The Fallen Lords already

2K owns Myth right now. Oni too.

What I would give for a modern-day Oni made by some designer who's a cross between Jason Jones, Cliff Blezsinski, and whoever was responsible for Devil May Cry 3 SE.

The game looked great. There were losing me during the tunnel portion (it looked too much Borderlands much is a snoozefest, IMO) but then other players dropped in, more enemies showed, enemy vehicle tank as well. That's when I said to myself, "Looks good and I need a Halo replacement anyway". Looking forward to it and Titanfall.

Looked fantastic. Loved the setting.

Hope it comes to PC, although as a guy in South America, im already crying at the latency/lag :<

TitanFall gameplay wise is leaps and bounds above this.

apples and oranges. Im sure TitanFall is the better multiplayer pvp game

That's because Titanfall features double jumping and the ability to bound off of walls.

So yes.

But in terms of intelligent play, they're both REALLY good in different ways. Titanfall's the closest thing I've seen to Unreal Tournament since Unreal Tournament.

Think MS made the better choice by getting Titanfall rather than Destiny. Destiny visually was superb and no doubt much fun will be had in co-op, but for me Titanfall has pretty much taken the tired COD game play and gave it a serious refresh.
