Went back to this the other day and finally finished it up. Got the true ending as well (not that it's difficult to get).

I really enjoyed the game. I certainly don't think it's for everyone but I'm damn glad it exists and I'm glad I bought it and played through it.

If you never stopped playing older games, Slitterhead won't feel as "bad" to you, as it does for others. Some people truly need their hand held through anything that might challenge what they expect out of a game.

I also loved the overall vibe,. Just a really weird game but also comfy as hell for me. I think it's the lighting, so much warm neon glow. Great vibe. Great OST too, Yamaoka did a fantastic job.

I hope it was successful and Bokeh can keep the lights on.

True ending isn't super hard but true ending on nightmare was brutal.

Oh dude, I can imagine. Very impressive of you to achieve that.

I played about 95% of the game on Normal, and I was dominating at launch, but being away for a few months and coming back in, I had to swap to easy. I basically had 1 final mission, and then replayed two or three missions to get the casualty count under 100. I don't know if that counter was altered in a patch, or if easy has it at 100, because I saw comments online saying you need to get the counter under 66 for the true ending.

I did obtain all the memories and costumes though. I don't think I have any interest in trying Hard or above but I'll probably do Normal again on a replay. The game was really satisfying in its level of challenge and I enjoyed having to rely on old school tactics to stay on top of things. What others describe as jank, I just view as good old fashioned mechanics.

I gotta get back to this game. At this point I think jank AA horror/weird games is one of my favorite genres. I just watched Turbo Kid on Prime and started the indie game. You two might appreciate it. It’s an acquired movie and gaming taste.

I watched it last night and was like. Wtf did I just watch. Ha! The indie game is a sequel to the movie. I got it off gg.deals for $9. It’s a metroidvania with a bike
