Buy a PC?Reading this, I'm starting to think devs should just give us settings to fiddle with so the low performance people can have their shiny bells and whistles and I can have my performance.

It's not that interesting to me that beta software in development on launch hardware is running at an uneven framerate; that is standard and happens every generation.
With the exception of Halo (where no gameplay footage was shown, so it's not subject to development deadlines or performance analysis), all of those games have to be 60 fps. Every forza but the first is 60 fps. This is an expectation. Titanfall is the spiritual sequel to Call of Duty (and is in development at a third party). This would be an expectation. Killer instinct is a fighter. 60 fps is an expectation.
I don't think meeting expectations is interesting.
If you're saying its interesting that they are highlighting that they are meeting expectations, I find that to be a very low bar.
Halo is a welcome surprise though and it will be fun to see in a year.
First-hand experience is when you play the thing yourself, you're talking about second-hand experience.
KI is by far the least impressive Xbone game and that's fine. Some people will buy it regardless, like Perfect Dark Zero.
Won't it completely fail in the FGC though thanks to always online/online check in, kinect and DRM?
Wii U 1080p 60fps? No, just no.PS4 - 1080p, 30 FPS
Wii U - 1080p, 60 FPS
I'm just saying, that's either terrible coding, terrible design choices, or both. Turn down the graphics from a 10 to an 8 and double that framerate!
What you think about the gameplay is entirely off-topic and irrelevant.Ryse wasn't all that impressive to me either. An on-rails QTE fest where you can't actually move within the environment? Awful.
And seriously your type of posts are far worse than his, even if he's wrong, at least he's showing a modicum of respect. It's especially concerning considering Ryse looked like such shit.

it's a shame those of you who so enjoy the weighty experience never got on board with onlive.
Buy a PC?
Hahahaha, this is one of my favorite GAF posts of all time. Seriously guys, let's not defend input lag. I'm considering cancelling my Killzone preorder over this until I hear it's been resolved.

Have you guys seen CoD Ghosts fake lighting, low poly models, blurry textures.
This is the tradeoff for running 1080p60. I'd rather have incredible looking games than 1080p60 with barely better than current gen fidelity.
the game has a few months to be out tho how is this final?
I'm not even sure what needs to be excused, it's common knowledge games at E3 aren't optimized for launch.
We don't really know how BF4 will look on consoles running at 60FPS. What they demonstrated at conferences was running on "similarly specced PCs". We know that KZ has basically all the high end engine features available anywhere today. Same can be said for Division. We have no clue what machine it was really running on, and for all we know it could have been a frame-by-frame rendered playthrough which is what I think original Watch Dogs video probably was too (impossible to confirm, just my gut feeling). Infamous and KZ were probably the best looking playable games, IMO, and Sorcerer was the best looking hands-off demo of anything there.Driveclub looks noticeably inferior to NFS and Forza to all that saw the demo.
KZ:SF has no excuse to be 30fps if BF4 is 60.
Knack looks really sparse graphically.
Infamous looks really nice, but how great does the Division look!
Canceling a pre-order isn't final either, I can always pre-order it again if I hear it's fixed before release.
It was also shit compared to KZ2 and partly why fans hated it.
His post specifically states that he's giving them time. :/the game has a few months to be out tho how is this final?
I have only already that I enjoy a lot, but a lot of the types of games I enjoy are console exclusive. I'm sorry if I don't like sacrificing performance over pretty bells and whistles.

I'm sorry if I don't like sacrificing graphics for 60FPS which hasn't affected me in the slightest going from PC to PS3 and back again depending on games all this previous generation.
Sit down. No one is defelecting im asking a question also if 30FPS is laggy to you then poor that. Cause frankly locked 30 isnt laggy.
That explains why its a franchise mired in mediocrity.
The "fans" hate the wrong game in the series. 1 & 2 are trash and prevented Liberation and 3 from saving it.
Nobody is requiring anything. Certain franchises will have a 60fps expectation, others wont bother, others might shoot for it if they feel its worth it.If MS is requiring a 60/1080p, Ill stick with the Xbox One.
Who's excusing anything? This is just the nature of software being written for new hardware and being demoed in an Alpha state. Every game is all over the place because each dev team is working on different priorities and bringing what they consider the most stable build to E3, which isn't necessarily anywhere near their most advanced build. No fucking excuses, we've been hearing about powerful this and that for more than a week now.

Considering my favorite games are fast paced action titles like Bayonetta I'd much prefer performance. I value it quite a bit since I've played the PS3 and 360 versions to completion and the PS3's framedrop actively hindered me from getting perfect platinum's and doing last second dodges.
I'm not sure what you're trying to get at. Everything you're saying is subjective and it'd be pointless to get into a pissing match over opinions.
When it comes to the state of software development on PS4, the situation as it stands is surprising. On the one hand, freely playable first-party titles such as Knack and DriveClub suffer from noticeable frame-rate stutters down from 30fps, while on the other, "hands off" demos for the new Infamous and Assassin's Creed games appear to run without a perceptible hitch. This is in stark contrast to the playable software confirmed to be running direct from Xbox One hardware, such as Forza Motorsport 5 and Killer Instinct, which benefit to no end for targeting the 1080p60 gold standard, and largely succeed in doing so.
Stop. No. Bad.Satchel is just releasing all the pent up anger over his fav console being mauled the past few months, let him have his release.
Stop. No. Bad.
Everyone stop it now.
There's no reason why those kind of games can't run 60fps, it's not a machine limitation it's up to the developer.

Well... good thing Im getting both consoles. Im so used to PC gaming I cant do without 60FPS anymore. Im ok with third person shooters being 30 locked, but first person? No thanks.
If MS is requiring a 60/1080p, Ill stick with the Xbox One. I'm getting both regardless, but whichever is 1080/60 will be my main system, other just for exclusives. Such a shame really, Im the type of guy that things Mario Galaxy looks fucking amazing because its 1080p 60fps on my computer. Id MUCH rather have that then fancier graphics. Mario looks amazing as does Crysis.. I cant handle jaggies or lag
And apparently The Order was real time which blows every other game so far out of the water.
Then there's the Sorcerer tech demo, using the PS3 tools they worked with for Beyond and not actually something designed for PS4.
But you understand why I'd prefer not to make the sacrifice for better graphics right? It's cool if you don't see the benefit but I do.
Ummm, not what I was expecting. I know Sony was not expecting to be working with the current specs of the PS4 a year ago... They have doubled the RAM since the intial build, I just hope some of these issues are cleared up or at least the games become more optimized as time goes on.
Where did you see that The Order was real time?
It says "in-engine" in the trailer, not real time.
And you understand why some people feel that targeting 60fps from the outset at the expense of graphical fidelity is better right?
Holy shit, why are some of you making assumptions about the performance of an entire generation of games based on the fact that some alpha builds of launch titles are a little choppy at E3?
WTF did you expect?
Because the game is not finished yet?How does Cerny's own game have noticeable framedrops anyways? Seems kinda ironic.
These are still early demos and all, but I'm not going to pretend its not disappointing. It is. They should be further than this. We hear about how Microsoft is 6 months behind and right now its feeling more like Sony.
