Why not try bringing the franchise to PC? Japanese development on PC is a little behind, but Sega is no stranger to Steam. Feels like a series that would do well there.
Well yeah, there are a couple of stragglers, like Phantasy Star Online 2, but those are the main focuses of Sega Sammy in terms of "major intellectual properties" in the Amusement Center division. It's all about streamlining around profitability, and Western IPs have made Sega a lot of money.
Everything else is small / smartphone-related / relatively low budget (like a vocaloid game).
Lots of plot in there. As a side note, this is what Sega is currently doing with the franchise videogame wise: http://valkyria-duel.hangame.co.jp/lp/
Currently the teams/studios who were handling it are working on Shining games with similar mechanics instead.
Advance Wars x Valkyria Chronicles
Believe!

That's a poor mix. Valkyria Chronicles is much more like Fire Emblem.
Best chances for a revival are iOS.
if Bayonetta 2 sells well, Nintendo and SEGA will team up to make Valkyria 4 on Wii U.
I have to believe in something

Are these characters new? I've only played the first one.
If I could play VC3 in English, I'd play it on ios!
It'd be over $120 to experience the full game because if IAPs but at least it'll be finally localized!

SoA2 first, get in line. ;P
There's not even a valkyria character in all stars racing.
Nope. Shenmue 3 (Nintendo / Sega co-production) first.
T__TBetter than suikoden and the other dead rpg franchises
There's that rumor that Sega is trying to buy Atlus. Maybe if that happens, Atlus can develop VC4 after P5!!!! /wishful thinking
T__T
I'd rather see Atlus either do their own thing (Radiant Historia is an example of this) or at least stick with MegaTen. Buying them only to be a development house for their neglected RPG series would just be disheartening. There's that rumor that Sega is trying to buy Atlus. Yeah, Atlus deserves to focus on their own franchises.I'd rather see Atlus either do their own thing (Radiant Historia is an example of this) or at least stick with MegaTen. Buying them only to be a development house for their neglected RPG series would just be disheartening.

About as dead as Jet Set Radio.
...or maybe Relic is going to make a Valkyria Chronicles game lol
Ugh, absolutely not. I feel so strongly about this that if what you suggested ever transpires, I'm holding you personally responsible and banning you. Skies or Valkyria would be infinitely preferable.
Yes it seems so. Personally as long as it stays on handhelds it is dead to me.
I think Sega should port it to the PC to be honest. I think the series could find a nice home there. I know I would rebuy the first one if it ever found its way to Steam or GOG.
The only chance for proper Yakuza and VC games in the west is that Sega goes bankrupt and someone else buys them.
