Dragon's Crown |OT| Knock down the crown

Gonna play sorc after I get used with elf. I don't want to face a lobby with 4 elf lol, even though it's gonna be funny on the first time

Really love the artwork. I have no idea what I'm doing, but its still fun. What is the penalty for dying? Lower treasure grade?

Equipment can have quite a few modifiers. Still need some clarification on things though. Like 'retribution' and some others.

My assumption on retribution has been it is like a x% chance to retaliate/thorns a certain element of damage back.

Spoiler

Does anyone know how to get the blue talisman? I defeated the Arch Demon about 4 times. I even tried to defeat him before the light shines on him. Almost did but I was a second too late. Do I have to defeat him before the light shines in order to get the blue talisman?

I see this is available on the Sony Store website as a digital download? Woot.

Wait... Vita version only?

What the.. what?

EDIT: Nevermind. Shows me for clicking through an ad from the front page of the store. PS3 version is there too. Phew.

Nice :)

I'm having such a good time with this. The art is amazing, the gameplay flows really well, and the Questing system is simple and addictive. Can't wait to unlock online mode.

Yeah, I'm trying to get to bed and I just want to jump back in.

The Elf does take a bit of getting used to. It's imperative that you abuse the dodge button and retreat to a safe distance. Then, you Power Shot the mother f'ers. Bust out a knife and go in for some hand to hand up in the air shanking.

edit- When you Power Shot those mother f'ers make sure you line them up for maximum damage.

Just got it in the mail for PS3. I'm impressed at the size of the art book it came with. I expected a tiny booklet. It reminds me more of a trade paperback. I think I'm gonna go elf my first playthrough. I think I'm gonna be soloing most of the game, though. I couldn't convince any of my friends to pick it up.

Are the other classes as fast as the Elf? Because jumping around, dodging, and shooting arrows is crazy fun. I made the right choice, yo.

Not as fast, but Fighter is basically the Juggernaut. Huge, dishes out damage and is way faster than he has any right to be while ramming through enemies.

That ain't how to do spoilers man. At least give people some context to determine whether they want to click or not.

Yes for bolded.

Can someone give me a hint on a puzzle that's in the...third level I think.

Here's the puzzle:
There is a chest behind a cage and there are about 7 or so colored tiles in the room.

Have no idea how to get behind that chest.

It's... it's glorious. I put about 2.5 hours in and I'm addicted. The quest runs are short enough to prompt that "just 1 more" desire. Beasting it with the Dwarf, I lol'ed when grabbing and slamming an enemy wizard, just something about that is hilarious looking. It's ridiculously easy to lose where you are when the action gets hot though, especially with spell casters. Is there any disadvantage to taking AI squadmates into battle? Other than the need to share food?

Same! I walked around aimlessly for a minute and left.

When do I unlock multiplayer?

Is it worth appraising every single item in the game or just A+ weapons/equipment?

Apparently you don't want to appraise everything as it is a waste of money. Take what information the game gives you and decide (i.e. if it's an 'A', has a long name, level needed etc.)

The size of the characters onscreen was unexpected. Maybe I have been playing Guacamelee too long. The art is just astounding. The videos and fan art that I have seen don't do it justice.

Is it worth appraising every single item in the game or just A+ weapons/equipment?

If it doesn't have any perks, and is D or E, just sell it immediately.

Otherwise, appraising is something you just get a feel for. Need, rank of item, growing appraisal costs all play a part

Right now though, money isn't a problem at all for me.

This game feels like the best D&D module ever created with some sort of crazy brain-vision into the head of the GM...

I can't say I've been happier with a game purchase right out of the gate in the last 4 years or so. If you're on the fence you OWE it to yourself to see this thing in motion, don't let some fainting at a few porny NPC pictures steal this experience from you.

So a brother who is pretty strongly opinionated that video-games are sexist is staying over for the week. Game was installing as he walks into the house, he says "Oh this looks like a Disney game this should be fun". Upon seeing the character selection screen he walked out of the living room complaining about how sexist the game is. I'm not meaning to derail this thread at all into that topic but I found this pretty funny, he couldn't even look at it.

What little amount(I'm not a complete jerk) I got to play I enjoyed, I like that the game doesn't feel too much like a masher(used Amazon) and the animations are pretty gorgeous. Feel kinda bad for people who are rejecting this game but oh well.

It's either they like it or not. Let's give em that.

I've been anticipating this game for awhile but i'm literaly stunned right now. Like, wow. It's so god damn good. The art style and 2D/3D mesh is absolutely beautiful. I'm playing an elf and having a full party with npc allies (havent unlocked online yet) still gives it that online feel. Its...wow!

fuck you asia psn... fuck you.... ; ;
it's already out in na psn...

guess it's not going to be out in asia psn i guess, especially since the voicepacks are free for the na version
fuckfuckfuck

Can you wear multiple amulets? Also i'm really starting to like the over-exaggerated art style of the game. Sakimoto really knows how to deliver atmosphere with his music.

B path Lost Woods boss spoiler:
Holy shit at the Killer Rabbit, that was amazing lol. And I thought the forest guy looking similar to Tim the enchanter was enough of a Python reference, they actually took the killer rabbit from the same scene and made it the B path boss. Soooooo good

Also

Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple

Thank you so much for this, now that part no longer taunts me, gonna do that as soon as I boot the game up again tomorrow.

Solo elf is cool, but being able to wait for perfect opportunities to unload on enemies is just great in groups. People used to get mad when I'd gank their juggles thinking I was bullshitting with weak kicks but landing 3 impact arrows before hitting the ground makes everyone a believer.

Soo good.

Sorceress looks boss as fuck riding mounts. Seriously, I forgot about the giant titties and huge Amazonian asses ten minutes into this game. All that matter slapping fire from unholy beats.

This game is hitting the nostalgia button for me hard. Brings back memories of when my cousin and I would stay up late playing Battletoads or wasting countless quarters playing the X-Men arcade game.

Any ps3 players playing on hard mode online?? Looking to team up with exploration in mind-- there are a lot of savages online who just advance to the next area with no freaking regard for treasures/ runes/ hidden areas. Use those big fingers and click, dammit!!!

Psn: luckydoobage
