Yeah, but on the flip-side it's very easy to add friends (no need to wait for confirmation). It's a small consolation, but it's there. And while you're at it, feel free to add me (same name as here on GAF).

I'm pretty sure they have / had some kind of migration in place by logging into their servers before creating an account. I don't remember having to add everyone again.

You don't have to manually add anyone.
Try loading up your online friend list or playing online in Ascension then come back to the other game.
A ton of people had this same when they started this .. you just have to log in or play another game or some shit.
It works itself out, tho.

Actually Ascension didn't work because it does require the new login but Nightfall did the trick.
Loading Nightfall (which doesn't have the new playdek login) loads somehow all my GC friends in my playdek account (do not how it associate those...but it works).
Now I see everyone in Lords of Waterdeep.

Etrian Odyssey? Mm... probably the Chaos Rings series, particularly Chaos Ring 2 for your turn-based/jrpg specifications. Other suggestions that do not fit your description are Magicka and/or Battleheart. They're just really fun, lol.
I finally checked out the first Kingdom Rush and oh my god, amazing tower defense game. There is such a unique charm in it. Between KR, Asphalt 8, and Oceanhorn, I'm having difficulty finding time to play The Last of Us (dead serious). Looking forward to Kingdom Rush: Frontiers already.

I thought X-Com's latest update fixed that? I have the OG Mini and I have yet to grab the game for this very reason (although with my backlog now I'll be waiting for something in the region of a 66% sale discount
Now I'm happy I've never picked up the game on XBLA/Steam, I just don't plat this games on anything bar handhelds/portable devices, Fire Emblem is the only exception I usually make (and even then I still haven't finished Radiant Dawn, which -being one of my fav series- it says everything on how I feel playing this genre while sitting in front of my TV/pj).
Will definitely pick it up in the upcoming weeks.

Nope. They fixed it for ipad2, but original mini still crashes all the time. Would say don't bother with the game unless you're getting a new device soon.

There's a note in the app description with a possible solution if your region isn't set to US. They are supposed to be in the process of getting an update that fixes that issue (if that's what you're having) soon.
It's propogating through the store at the moment, it should be up anytime now
Aha, will keep checking, thanks! Also, as a random question - if you've purchased both the random head and random body options in the store, is there an option to have it select random complete outfits?

Oh wow. Just played a little bit of DJ Max Technika Q and if it doesn't make it over to the West then I will be very angry. I don't know why Koreans are so offing stubborn with making their amazing games so exclusive.
I even made a Kakao account just to play this (which actually isn't required).
Rhythmix is not even close as a substitute - Q plays and looks so so much better. It's super responsive, and the tracks are just as good as you'd come to expect from DJ Max series... and they feature videos!
Apparently some update made it region locked to Korea (works for me, though I haven't switched back to Irish account) and most menus are in Korean... shame, because I'd totally look into getting all the tracks at some point. (BTW, everything is in dollars on Korean app store) Super game, iOS doesn't have quality games in the genre (and that horrible AppSpy list that they've published is only a testament to that)

Jetpack Joyride is still the best endless runner and S.A.M. is duking it out with Profit Bird and Cuddles for that top vehicle spot. Now about that Hippy achievement..

The original plan was for the rotating inventory to keep the game fresh throughout the year without a big update, which means all old and new Jetpacks and clothes go through a system. While this is great for us, it means some of the achievements are super difficult to get to now.
You know, I just bought the counterfeit machine IAP even though I don't really need it because JJ has given me at least $5 worth of entertainment throughout the years. The only other time I've done this was for backpack expanders in TF2. Like TF2, it's a showcase of F2P done right, great gameplay mechanics and years of genuine dev support.

You shouldn't have to rebuy it. If you got it when it was available you keep it, it shouldn't remove itself. Did you lose your save, maybe?
I did delete and re-install but iCloud had my save and everything else I owned is there, except the tree and Santa Suit (seasonal stuff) which I did own.

The physics just aren't there in RipTide. It's a nice-looking game, but the gameplay is a bit boring.

Got kairo. I need to play it a bit more but there's a discrepancy between the screenshots and the actual game. In reality it looks very amateurish rather than atmospheric. Plus really ugly HUD that kinda affects the experience. The game itself might be interesting, time will tell, but I was really hoping for a very atmospheric exploration more than anything else.
