We've pointed it out before. Either go for deals nonstop and admit that going for value is fine for the consumer, or lecture everyone about devaluation, supporting studios and buy everything full price. But no one does that. They go for deals for themselves, but lecture everyone else about devaluing or using a subscription. Hypocrisy, straight out of the dictionary. But nobody cares, laugh emoji, whatever. Only thing to do is just remember the next time you're being gaslit about the moral failings of getting a good deal, that they're completely full of it and ignore it.

This gets shut down - you have to pay for your entire month even if you cancel early - which most of us would have assumed is what was going to happen anyway.

It's like people don't get what being a hypocrite is. I've never really seen Dench lecture people for using GP, subscribing, buying things on sale. In this thread, he's lecturing people for being hypocrites, not for using an exploit. I think adamsapple used that VPN trick but he has never lectured anyone either, and openly talks about GP, Gamefly, sales, rewards points, Gold conversion to GP. I tried to use the exploit but it was too much trouble and I bailed on it, but I use GP and rewards and take a lot of shit for it from people who claim I never buy anything and I'm the death of the industry for devaluing games. These are things people have hounded people on for literally years, not once or twice. Over and over for years. What's hypocritical is someone that is doing that for literally years, over and over, picking fights with people and lecturing them about how little they support developers while doing the exploits for themselves. Why do you feel the need to defend these people when all we're pointing out is the hypocrisy? If you're fine getting deals and exploits, then maybe stop lecturing everyone else nonstop when you don't have a leg to stand on. That's literally all he's saying.

Well like I said, I've pointed it out before and it didn't do a thing. I'd suggest just ignoring it. It actually really decreases the temperature in general when you figure out its just gaslighting and none of what they're lecturing about really is even true. It's just what they do to pass the time. It is what it is.

Leveraging a refund policy to your benefit is no different than leveraging the tax code to your benefit. Its legal and within policy.
Guess which is likely more damaging- a few people refunding GP? Or mega corps leveraging tax code to reduce their tax bills by billions?
I wouldn't white knight for a mega corp, especially one who likes to cut jobs almost quarterly while CEO made $79 million in total compensation last year alone.

And the fact you can not make a morale difference between someone fully refunding a service that allows them to play games vs someone buying a game at full price and an additional copy at a cheaper price is unreal.

If a product offers good value for you, the fact that you can abuse a system to get it for free doesn't mean you have to do it. This is also about how you behave as an adult and how you consider the people that provide the product you use.
If someone was never complaining about you being a total jerk to him, you would be a total jerk all the time ?
