Not in game quality it won't.This thing mops the floor with that. No comparison needed.
$600 and $800 is my guess. So how much are they likely to be?
Price will be the key. Well it will be expensive for sure compared to switch 2.
True. Well technically this will be Switch 2 competition for the handheld market while still waiting for PSP revival.Sure. It's much more powerful too.
So a subpar brand (only blind fanboy admit otherwise) on a commercially subpar machine on a niche market that will be swallowed by Switch 2 until the end of the year (some people say that will be before holiday, i don believe it yet) that cannot and will be not subsized by virtual stores is MS savior on game market? ok :-D
I didnt even think of this point. I went from cautiously optimistic, to turned off.no touchpads no buy. these are the real game changers on the deck to make all PC games playable.
I'm not going to argue but do you realize how many games of how many platforms you can play on the Ally? Even the modern games that are ommited tower and shadow the giant amount of games the Switch 2 will miss. I've said this since just about the Gamecube days. Not in game quality it won't.

Tell that to the only company that belives win every market and destroy competition is the only way to sell thingsPC gaming and Nintedo kid stuff are too different markets.
a hand full of Nintendo exclusives vs nearly the entirety of past future and present releases from basically all platforms + emulation.....Not in game quality it won't.
Got the full specs? Why are people saying this is just a rebranded Ally / Ally X when that's Z1E and this has a Z2E processor?
This will also work with FSR4, which the Z1E does not.
"Nintendo kid stuff"? That's how we're analyzing 152 million systems sold, eh? I don't think the "Nintendo kiddy market" you're referencing exists anymore, i think it's far larger and lots of diverse appetites across a large demographic of younger, middle-aged, and older gamers.PC gaming and Nintedo kid stuff are too different markets.
I think it's the "next-gen" ROG + Xbox button and controller.Got the full specs?
'Hands' full of Nintendo exclusives is all that's needed.a hand full of Nintendo exclusives vs nearly the entirety of past future and present releases from basically all platforms.....

Thanks, that's more than what I was looking for.
They did their best at avoiding giving a price. Why do you think that is?Looks good. I hope it's around 350-400 euro.
Exclusives are king.I'm not going to argue but do you realize how many games of how many platforms you can play on the Ally? Even the modern games that are ommited tower and shadow the giant amount of games the Switch 2 will miss. I've said this since just about the Gamecube days.
This has been the same song and dance from Nintendo since the practically the Wii. Not enough to stand above PC or the other 2 platforms. It's a good complimentary device these days but many of the PC handhelds tear it up.....like 2 years ago or more (even spec wise)
So a toaster that makes more burnt bread.Even is they was only 1 ally sold. it has more games then a switch![]()
I don't think a 120hz OLED portable screen exists besides the phone ones?No OLED on either of them. *sigh*

This is niche market priced so will be far from competition to S2.PC gaming and Nintedo kid stuff are too different markets.
These handhelds are aimed towards people who already game on PC. But want to play them in another form factor (not tied to desktop) or on the go. I think of devices like these like an extension of their Steam library that they can take anywhere. Its a bit like the PS Portal but cranked to 11.My issue with this is basically same issue with all these PC handhelds,
They mostly play the games I can already play in other consoles..... the reason I buy any system it has games that cant get it anywhere else.
I already have PS5 for most mutiplatform games and I have Switch 2 for its first and 3rd party exclusives.

If you want to get semantic then sure, but PSP simply stands for PlayStation Portable and the rumored device would quite literally be a PlayStation Portable. There is no PSP revival. There will never be a Sony handheld with a proprietary library ever again. It'll be a squeezed-down PS5 with semi-bad battery life.
I don't think any of the mobile AMD APUs are RDNA4 so no FSR4.Do these things need FSR4 to be a bit future proof? Seems these will be outdated in a year.
I doubt he even knows
Yup this definitely aimed at PC players since they don't mind digital only system. These handhelds are aimed towards people who already game on PC.
Any word on gyro capabilities?
