Ah… Nothing constructive to add. Classy!
it advertises as being RDNA 3.5I don't think any of the mobile AMD APUs are RDNA so no FSR4.
it advertises as being RDNA 3.5
We have already seen that Windows is terrible for performance and power usage on these mobile devices.
Better stick to the Steam Deck, or any other handheld that supports SteamOS.
I was correcting the statement that their mobile chips were not RDNA specifically, which is why I didn't mention FSR.They don't have FSR 4, the chipsets with RDNA 3.5 are already out on other devices including zen laptops.
To me any of these PC handhelds without FSR4 is currently a waste of time, its imminent that one does with RDNA 4 GPU.
I'd wait to see what other OEMs can come up with and Microsoft themselves before buying
Buying games from their store front. What is Microsoft's strategy here?
Are they looking after us console owners who have actually purchased games on their consoles? I have over 700 games on my Series X going from the original Xbox CONSOLE through to the 360 CONSOLE, Xbox One CONSOLE and now the Series X CONSOLE (remember what consoles are Microsoft? They are how you got into the gaming space you're in today) so will I be able to play all those games on this handheld PC? Or will it only allow me to play the roughly 90 games it transfers across onto my Windows PC Xbox store? Meaning I lose over 600 games I've paid for...
True especially for desktop. The only way now is to run scripts/ tools to remove all the bloatwear Microsoft puts on. I personally run a blank canvas Windows 11. I've completely stripped every single thing that I don't need out of Windows. From edge to the MS store and I've got it down to around 77 process.I'm disappointed the they just talked about it being an Xbox and whatever but didn't mention anything about a gaming specific Windows, I'd like an official Windows optimized for gaming so maybe Linux stop beating their as on it
In theory, you can direct stream from your Series systems. So if you have it there, you should be able to play it on the handheldAre they looking after us console owners who have actually purchased games on their consoles? they make a weak one low as steemdeck to confirmed but i will nort get this to play game steemdeck is crud and have no nintendo gameThis thing will be literally twice as expensive as Switch 2 and less optimized.
By normal console standards it's dead on arrival. Let's be realistic.
There is no planned Z3 lineup for AMD's next-gen APUs. The next OEM handheld APU lineup (if it happens at all, as AMD seems to be losing interest in this market) will be with their next-next-gen lineup in 2029. The only AMD handheld with AI upscaling anytime soon will be the Playstation handheld.Do these things need FSR4 to be a bit future proof? Seems these will be outdated in a year.

Never go full retardthey make a weak one low as steemdeck to confirmed but i will nort get this to play game steemdeck is crud and have no nintendo game
The very similar Legion Go S (Steam OS) currently costs $600. That's still 33% more expensive than the Switch 2.they make a weak one low as steemdeck to confirmed but i will nort get this to play game steemdeck is crud and have no nintendo game
So, a PC then.If this custom OS becomes publicly available, I can see building a custom mini-PC to hook up to a big screen being an incredible value. I could have the Xbox, Steam, Sony PC releases and possibly a lot more in a true dream machine. I'm imagining all sorts of mischief with lightgun games, MAME, Switch emulators, etc. Basically everything in 1 box
Yeah I guess you can.Steam is on there. Even if not you can install it anyway. Just close the Xbox app and it's Windows anyway. Steam runs on Windows. So Valve CEO can't do anything about it.
lol wait no FSR 4 at least ?They don't have FSR 4, the chipsets with RDNA 3.5 are already out on other devices including zen laptops.

They are going to replace 30 million Xbox Series users with 2 million Xbox Ally users (at best)! Are they looking after us console owners who have actually purchased games on their consoles? Yes, but without having to deal with the PC-ness of it.So, a PC then.
As of now it seems like you are screwed. Going forward they are beefing up play anywhere but will they go back and support it for a lot of these games? I doubt it.Are they looking after us console owners who have actually purchased games on their consoles? honestly wouldnt be that bad. That puts it around OLED pricing650 for the Xbox Ally X

this sounds fucking insane. Microsoft is normally retarded but they better not be retarded enough not to bring this to PC unless they want SteamOS to eat their market sharein game mode basically all unnecessary Windows processes get stopped, that includes the entire Windows desktop environment even it seems. so performance should be way better than on default Windows.

black, simple small SFF/MiniITX boxes are the only way I know a PC builder has taste. anything else looks fucked up.PC Gaming in general is gaudy as fuck (this has almost always been a thing. I remember people having acrylic PC cases with light strips inside of them when I was a kid) with RGB fucking everywhere and ugly ass fucking cases that either look like cyborgs or fish tanks. There are obviously exceptions as Lian Li, and Fractal the it comes to cases but even stuff like monitors have become edgy and ugly as fuck.
The first of MANY gaming Windows PCs that will bear the "Xbox" name and logo.
2million, goodluck with that. They are going to replace 30 million Xbox Series users with 2 million Xbox Ally users (at best)!
