I just don't get what happened there. Did the comics explain why
Beth did something so reckless?

I'm so hurt by this :(

First thing I said when I saw that happen.

GTA is fun.

None of this is in the comics.

I thought Beth's actions were explained quite well - she's always been a very empathetic character and couldn't accept the idea of someone suffering (Noah) at her expense.

R.I.P. Beth. And Dawn. I liked Dawn. She got boxed into a failing leader... and got corpse happy.

Still sad... but it's like season 3 Andrea in Beth's final seconds. Good intentions but actions that aren't entirely clear to the audience. I get that Beth was not having it with Dawn owning Noah again and not letting the group go just like that without a catch, but not with scissors honey.

Yay, Carol survived!

From the current cast I'd only keep Glenn, Maggie (they've been useless but they still have potential and I like having a couple in the cast), Carol, Darryl and Michonne.
Gabriel stays because he is kind of interesting at the moment and they need some fodder later. Noah stays too but not as fodder, I actually think he has potential. They're also obviously bringing back pilot guy (Morgan?) who is tracking them, that's more than enough kniwn characters, e else should die before they reach
Alexandria
, fuck Rick, Carl and all the people whose names I didn't bother remembering.
I'm sorry about Tyrese but the show screwed him up too much, he's the new Andrea and if I learned something it's that they won't be able to salvage him, when a good comic character has been andread it's over, keeping him alive will only make it worse because every time he does something moronic it hurts a little bit more.

I'm trying to think but I don't believe a death on the show has made me as sad as this one. I feel it was waaay too abrupt and senseless.

She didn't sacrifice to save anyone and she didn't even get a reunion with her sister. It's so awful...

Oh and she is so cute and I'll miss watching her <3

Dawn was a good villain.

Not 100% evil. We don't need everyone to be over the top dastardly like the governor.

We need some grey villains.

Beth y ;(

I think that as soon as that
gun went off killing Beth
, everyone would have started shooting it out O.K. corral style.

Way shitty of AMC to spoil the episode themselves on Facebook before the ep even aired on the West coast. Great way to lose followers that way.

My mid-season finale episode rankings...

1st - Pretty Much Dead Already - Scott M. Gimple
2nd - Too Far Gone - Seth Hoffman
3rd - Made to Suffer - Robert Kirkman
4th - Coda - Angela Kang

Yeah so the first thing i see when i got up today was the walking dead facebook page so know what happens in the episode.

Would like it if they would kill some of the cast off like 3 - 4 episodes in not almost in every mid season or season finale. Seems like its always gona be expected now.

But they do kill people in other episodes... Most people in the series have died in non-finale epsiodes.

Yes a few but you kinda know they are going to happen. Only ones i would say I didn't expect was Lori and Dale.

Its just when it get close to a a finale its like ok who is going to die this time and there is 2 or 3 people to pick from.

In the comics the deaths of the main people come right outa nowhere which i think makes some of them so good.

Dale's deaths was one of the worst ones in the series.

And "expected" doesn't really mean they don't count. Especially since that's pretty vague. I mean once he was bitten, sure Bob's death was very expected, but I doubt you expected he was going to get bitten in the first place.

I feel like the show has gotten too precious with its' cast of characters. Cast bloat is generally huge and now they're even making big ceremonies out of killing off people like Andrea, Beth, and Bob. Would hate to see how drawn out they'd make killing off a character people are actually invested in these days.

Well from the cast at the time it was going to be Bob or Rosita would have been next to go. After he was bit though they do this kinda dragged out thing and ofcouse I liked the whole tainted meat part. It just seems like each death is going to be dragged out. I want them just to go bang Maggie get bit like 3 times right out of nothing. I mean i still love the show and stuff i just want the deaths of the main cast to be better. If just seems their is always build up to them and you just know something is going to happen to this or that person becasue of the 2 episodes before it.

It's the zombie apocalypse so anyone should be able to at anytime.

But the group is quite experienced now, so it's not that simple for walkers to just surprise bite them

Yet some of the walkers still get the jump on them and you just know its cool aint anything gona happen here.

I bet we will have like 3 to pick from like 5 episodes in the 2nd half of the season for who is going to die in the season finale. I guess with it being a tv show they have to drama it up a bit.

Make them run into 500 walkers, no need for surpise bites if you're outnumbered that much, they can easily get rid of 3 or 4 characters at once that way.

Maybe Carl eats another bucket of two year old pudding or one of them is killed by a bear or something, just because it's the apocalypse doesn't mean regular non-apocalypse dangers no longer apply.

I bet Eugene, Rosita and Gabriel die during the back half of the season, Tyrese and Abraham will die in the finale, Sasha is a maybe and I'm sure either Glenn or Maggie will die.

As much as I want to get rid of them, Rick and Carl are safe and there's no way the writers will kill off Daryll, Michonne or Carol inless one of the actors wants out, they're way too popular.

I'm going to riot if they spend more than one scene on Maggie being all sad that Beth is gone after the mid season break.

YO! YYYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

(Comic/Season 5.5 Spoilers)
Kirkman just said on Talking Dead that a "prominent gay character from the comics" will be introduced in the back half of this season. JESSSSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSS!! :D

I don't think that was who he was talking about

Fuck Dawn. Fuck that character. Most worthless fucking villain in the show's history.

I feel like she wasn't a villain, or was starting to come around to actually clean that place up. It seems like all the evil/messed up people in that group are now dead save for Bal cop, but they're probably going to make it. I do like how no one from the hospital group came with Rick etc.

I don't really get why Andrea did what she did, she was planning on killing the Doctor too before they brought in Carol. It just seems like she had good intentions but went as war wacky as Dawn (who despite her own problems seemed to be taking out the trash as it were).

What a fucking amazing episode. :)

Dawn says "I didn't mean it". Did she really not mean it? Daryl rambo'd in with that headshot.

It was an accident, Dawn had her hand on your guy and jerked when she got stabbed with the scissors.

Robert Kirkman confirmed that there is going to be a new gay character in Season 5B known from the comics

We all know who that is.....comic spoiler:
It's Aaron, a recruiter for Alexandria Safe Zone

What id Beth 'get' right before she stabbed? Was it that a large part of the the whole power struggle also came down to Dawn having to be in control of people? I mean, even if that is the case, the elevator scene showed that she was committed to cleaning the place up. I feel like they didn't achieve whatever the fuck they were going for with Dawn.

Dawn was a good villain. And is Eugene dead or not?

Just sleeping/passed out in that scene, if he had died they wouldn't have brought his body and certainly would have restrained it if they did.

I for one did not want to see Beth get axed. If you think about all the eps since last season focused on her and her survival it just kind of seems like a waste. They finally started developing her as a character only to kill her off. MEH.

That's TWD's thing though. Develop a character so people like them and then kill them off.

The official Facebook page spoiled the episode for me before I even had a chance to watch it.

Shit popped up on my feed minutes after it aired on the east coast. :/

Me too. Fucking Facebook.

+1 to scumbag facebook page spoiling the final (two) episodes for me. Unliked that page instantly, you should not post episode spoilers on your fb page goddammit.

I'm with you, its like they did all this just to crush you by killing her off. God damn, I did not even like her until all the shit she had to go through to survive.

Not quite. In cases before (i.e. Hershel) he was actively with the group as he developed. Beth had episodes and a side plot basically devoted to her and her development. It's kind of a waste. I feel like I got trolled.
