007 Legends announced (360, PS3)

I hope they keep the Bond girls' namesake intact. Xenia Onatopp is much less racy than "Holly Goodhead".

But definately glad OHMSS is getting the game treatment. Some good stuff in there...although snowmobiles? Can no one create a thrilling ski chase in video games anymore? The World Is Not Enough did it...kind of.

If this plays anything like GoldenEye did I'll be happy. I loved the Mi6 missions in the Reloaded version. One of my favorite shooters this gen.

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
Well at least the picked the one movie where replacing the original is actually an improvement. As long is it doesn't turn into the Diana Rigg show it should be fine.

Oh you just threw down, son. OHMSS is one of the best Bond films.

what the hell? there is no such thing as too much Diana Rigg.

Usually I agree but I always felt that she completely took over the movie which isn't a great idea when trying to push a new Bond. I didn't care for Lazenby anyway but I still didn't like it.

I have no problem with them going back and sticking Craig into older Bond movies in this game. It's not like that causes those movies to disappear from my shelves. I don't know if I want EON to start remaking Bond films (although there's more than a few stories - Moonraker, specifically - that could use it) but if they're going to do it, I prefer they do it in game form. As it stands, I find the story/execution of Eurocom's Goldeneye to be better than the film's, and the idea of something like Moonraker getting essentially re-done w/ Daniel Craig, updated to be something that isn't a blatant, brain-dead cashgrab huffing Star Wars' farts? Fine with me.

Since they're going with the (unfairly) maligned On Her Majesty's for the 2nd level, I'm hoping the next three levels are based on films that could also stand an update/remake that can really improve on the source material.

You Only Live Twice
The Man With the Golden Gun
Tomorrow Never Dies

I could see Die Another Day being chosen, just based on the setpieces used in the movie. It's probably the worst Bond movie (either that, Golden Gun, or View to a Kill) but you can build quite a few great gaming scenarios out of what that film contains.

edit: happy to see the love for On Her Majesty's. I really think that's a top 5 Bond. Probably top 3.

I kinda would like them to put "The Spy Who Loved Me" in here as a level, specifically for the ski-chase. In fact, that would have been the perfect pre-credits opening to the game: You're in bed, you're hit up on the wristwatch, you get up, slalom down a hill bucking shots at squads of enemies while jumping hills, dodging trees, and you lead directly into the main credits of the game after parachuting off a giant cliff.

So we have Moonraker, OHMSS and eventually Skyfall. Good mix so far. YOLT for Connery would be my choice along with "The Living Daylights" for Dalton. I think they should go with TWINE for Brosnan. I'm getting excited about this game.

I know it's been done, but would love to see another take on "From Russia with Love". Some cool set pieces, a boat chase, some stealth elements. Potential.

Then again, if we're talking Connery Era, Thunderball or Goldfinger would be pretty cool.

Roger Moore Era - "The Man With the Golden Gun", definitely.

Brosnan: A true reimagining of Goldeneye would be nice, but it ain't happening, so I'll go with "Tomorrow Never Dies".

Goldeneye007 wii was freaking amazing. Not too sure about this game. People accused Goldeneye about being like COD, but its only COD if you play it like COD. Theyve shown nothing but pure action for this game =/

Pretty disappointed that they didn't use the OMHSS theme for the trailer. Would have made it a lot better.

If it's like the movie, there should be a good amount of opportunities for stealth in the OMHSS level.

There's a small glimpse of Blofeld in there, and he looks like a weird amalgamation of Donald Pleasence and Telly Savalas. Strange after managing to license Michael Lonsdale's likeness for Drax, but I guess they decided to split the difference.

How are you not pleased with the nintendo wii goldeneye ? It's absolutely awesome.

Admittedly, I had completely forgotten about Goldeneye for the Wii...

With that being said (and me having not played it), I will retract my previous statement! Last Bond game I played was Bloodstone, will check out Goldeneye however.

Yeah, that would point to him being one of the main threads tying the storylines together (which is the only logical way to approach combining 6 different movies).

Oh, are they trying to stitch these together? I guess that would point to the Craig entry being a full-on adaptation of Casino Royale, rather than the "highlight reel" they used for a couple of the levels in QoS.

I am not sure whether or not they have confirmed this, but what I really want from this game is that each mission features the original theme or a remix from that particular movie. Storming Blofeld's mountain base will not be the same without the classic OHMSS theme.

Won't the Craig entry be the Skyfall DLC? Craig is in all of them now anyways. I'm curious to see if they actually try to tie the story together using Blofeld.

Would love this.

Yeah, Blood Stone was great. Completely mediocre, forgettable, outsold by Goldeneye Wii, and resulted in the death of Bizarre Creations.

Goooooood times all around.
If Bloodstone ever hits sub-$15-$20, I am down to buy it, I just didn't feel like it was even close to worth $60 when it came out.

And god, it sucks that Bizarre Creations is dead. PGR and Geometry Wars is what kept me playing my 360 throughout the generation.

Also I wonder if Baron Samedi means that Live and Let Die will be the next movie revealed.

For some reason some small part of me was hopeful that the 007 Pack would let you actually play as other versions of 007.

That's what I thought when I first read it.. then it's like an exclusive costume.. not even him in another fancy tux!

I believe it is at $9.99 as part of that huge Best Buy game blowout coming up.

Also - I was totally misinformed (by myself). I thought this whole time this was an XBLA/PSN thing only.

The next two Bond movies have been announced....

And it's License to Kill and Die Another Day...

I completely get DaD with the whole ice palace/ice chase scene.

Not too sure on License to Kill... unless really like Mexico.

Would have prepared Living Daylights. DaD makes sense from a Video Game perspective.

Moonraker and DaD in one game. Solo gonna explode.

Tanker chase? Underwater espionage to boat to underwater to jet ski to plane? Lots of scope

Die Another Day definitely would have made for a better video game than it did a film, in addition to it being the only Brosnan film that did not get a game adaptation. I'm fine with it.

License to Kill is going to be interesting to see; the setpieces in that film are pretty small until the last half hour in the drug factory. I wonder if they managed to get Robert Davi to reprise Sanchez; Benicio del Toro is probably not coming back to play his character.

Interesting updates. Maybe they are borrowing the more heavy story elements from License to Kill, rather than the beat for beat action scenes.

CIA friend being attacked, personal for Bond, also the escape of Sanchez on the Keys Bridge (and the rest of the prologue about skydiving onto his plane before it gets to Cuba).

Prologue is easy, but I'm sure they'll find a way to shoe-horn Bond into the Keys bridge sequence too.

The latest trailers have definately turned my thoughts around on this game. Enjoyed Bloodstone but didn't like Quantum of Solace (although it HAD potential).

While I think Die Another Day will be great, I'm amazed Activison thinks it suits the Daniel Craig world.

I don't think they care, They are just getting what they can easily license and throwing them together. Daniel Craig in the other Bond films rubs me the wrong way. If they couldn't get the other Bond likeness they should have created a generic Bond character for the game.

If they can adapt Moonraker...

And I think it's more that Craig is who they own the rights to the likeness of right now, I don't think adapting the movies that fit best in "his world" is any major concern.

Since they have no trouble going over-the-top, I really hope the Connery mission is from You Only Live Twice. I would love to see a ninja invasion into the vulcano base. But I guess that this will be unlikely since Blofeld already shows up in the On Her Majestys Secret Service mission. I doubt any of the villians will survive any of the movie specific missions.

Putting the Craig face in every mission is some kind of sick joke that will be redeemed ´til release.
Right guys?

Rights for each actor would cost a ton of money. Not worth the price of the project. I'm curious how much Star Trek: Legacy cost to get all those actors in just to contribute their voices.

Per the revealed achievement list, it looks like Goldfinger is the final Bond movie being adapted.

*Edit: I'm not sure why I initially spoilered it.

How are they doing the side actors and actresses then? Are they redoing them to not resemble the original actor or something? Or are they seeking out the licences for them?

Is that really a spoiler? None of the other movies were spoilers. Anyhow I know that its one of the most well regarded in the franchise and the one that really made the franchise soar, but I don't think its because of the action scenes. I don't really see much beyond Fort Knox and an odd job fight.

Though I might just be bitter because YOLT volcano scene is the pivotal bond action scene for me. Plus Japanese Daniel Craig would have made the whole Daniel Craig thing worth it.

Agent Under Fire will always have a place in my heart for its incredibly entertaining for all the wrong reasons cut scenes and cheesy quotes, plus who can resist the allure of random Bond based off no one in particular? But yeah I guess it's not that great really.
Unless you play multiplayer with the Q Claw usable on all walls and with 1 shot deaths.

Same here. It was my first GameCube game and I still love it to dead.
