I will dvr Raw just to see Bret come back(which you know they will save for the end of the show) and fast forward until that segment.

They are bringing him back as a guest host originally. I'm sure he'll be on long before the end of the show.

Yep they'll probably do the hour of wrestlers going "oh shit is he really coming?" followed by the limo pull up with Bret inside, followed by him walking to his dressing room, insert more reactions by HHH/HBK, then finally he comes out at the end of the show.

HBK will just stand in the ring for two hours as his music plays. Ultimately the audience will liquidate to blood.

I want someone to bring back WCW Raven with his Flock and all. Man I loved Raven back then. I almost said Benoit should go to TNA but then I remembered what happened :(

Yeah there is no way they would let Benoit back after that. Owen would still be in the clear.

hbk walks out to sweet chin Bret. Then does sharpshooter to him.

But it's probably this

So you mean HBK hits sweet chin music and then puts Bret in the sharpshooter? I would actually stand on my couch and clap.

YES!

That'd be so cool... they rocked. Some of the wrestlers were awful though.
Love Kidman, Kanyon and Saturn though. Kanyon did one hell of a STO.

Let's hope Raven will stick around TNA and drop a couple lbs.

Am I the only one expecting total disappointment from both shows tomorrow? WWE sure as hell isn't going to change. TNA is going to be the same shit with some new faces on television, but nothing out of the ordinary. I'm just not that excited about Bret Hart. He's not going to do anything in any real capacity outside of talking and maybe some minor things in the ring. I just think everyone is hyping themselves up for failure tomorrow.

You just named the whole flock. Kidman, Kanyon, Saturn... all awesome. Speaking of Perry Saturn--- is he still missing?

Edit: Nevermind.

You know he puts the rings of Saturn on her in bed. Or is that his daughter? Probably doesn't matter.

I don't get you folks saying they will save Bret until the end. I bet Bret makes an appearance within the first 30 minutes, and then the rest of the show is teasing the confrontation between Bret and Shawn, and that will be the final segment with Vince, to set up his returns.

Holy shit :lol
That makes me sad.

But what about Sick Boy, Riggs, Lodi etc., etc?
Also was missing Stevie but he went back to E-C-Dub.

Well Hart is supposed to be the "guest host" where he more or less runs the show, so it would be incredibly strange for him to only appear at the end. Sometimes they just have pretaped segments with the guest host, and then he only comes out at the end, but I highly doubt they pull that with Bret Hart.

It's going to be surreal when this music plays:

Raven kind of has a new flock going in TNA with Stevie and Daffney. Raven's look sucks now though. The dreadlocks and color in them are horrible.

Raven's flock was one of my favorite wrestling cliques of all time. Kanyon was cool (hated the whole Mortis mortal kombat thing he had going at first and was really glad when they changed that) Billy Kidman was awesome as a high flyer (7 year itch was sweet) and Saturn just looked like a freak in that skirt he would wear. They were awesome.

I'm hyped for Bret, the guy was my hero when was 10-12. I always thought he was good and intense on the mic, so I think he can still be entertaining even in this limited capacity. And I also think (hope?) that he wouldn't agree to do this if they didn't have a solid angle for him.

But yeah, I can't shake the feeling that I'm going to be disappointed anyway, even if they do the best they can. It's not really Bret's fault or even the WWE's... there's just no way this comeback can match the optimal, fantasy comeback in my head, where he can still wrestle, or at least just beat up some people and take a bump. I'm sure he'd still be good in the ring, even at 52, if he had remained healthy. More than any other wrestler that could make an epic comeback, he's a guy that built his reputation on in-ring ability, and I know he can't go anymore. It's going to be the sad elephant in the room when I'm watching the show tomorrow. What could have been?

There's also the issue of "has it been too long"? Look at how many young fans there are in WWE crowds. How many will really appreciate his presence and significance? This has all happened so fast, they really haven't had time to build anticipation up to a fever pitch and educate the fans. I wish they could have had him come back in Canada.

WWE probably won't change much. The only things we know is Bret returning.

We'll still have DX, Hornswaggle, mid-carders going nowhere in storylines, Cena-Sheamus borefest, Hornswaggle, and shitty commentary. Lots of things need improved or changed in order for RAW to be watchable on a consistent basis for me.

In addition to Bret, WWE has the Jerishow/DX rematch for the Unified Tag Titles and Kofi/Orton, both of which are the potential blow offs to the feuds. Also, John Cena is doing the ceremonial coin toss at the Fiesta Bowl, so he won't be at the arena, although they'll probably have him involved somehow.

Besides Hogan, TNA has announced 2 Knockout matches: ODB vs Tara for the Knockout title and Sarita/Taylor Wilde vs Awesome Kong/Hamada for the Knockout Tag titles. They've also announced the return of the Steel Asylum for the X-Division title, but the only participant we know of will be Amazing Red since he's the champ. (For those that don't know, the Steel Asylum is a domed cage with a small hole at the top. The winner has to climb out of the hole to win, which leads to a lot of upside down hanging and crawling. They've only done 2 before and they were exciting, but there's lots of participants so it's a bit of a clusterfuck spotfest.)

Speaking of gimmick matches...why hasn't anyone gone back to Wargames: The Match Beyond? That shit was awesome back in the day. Of course, when they started putting in guys who can't work, it sucked, but the first two are absolute classics.

Check it out.

War Games: The Match Beyond I. July 4th 1987. Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blachard, Lex Lugar and James J. Dillion vs. Dusty Rhodes, Nikita Koloff, Hawk, Animal and Paul Ellering.

The crowd was so awesome for this match. Everything the faces hit go big "OOO!" from the crowd. :lol

There has been no other place like TNA for me. Vince robbed me of my innocence at WWF, and WCW dropped me to me knees in a deep, dark despair. TNA was always family. It was small enough to be that way. We were special, we were unique, and no matter what any critic out there has ever said about us . . . we busted our butt every week and took great pride in what we did.

But . . . in this business . . . that just wasn't good enough.

Seasons change, people change, feelings change . . . tomorrow TNA changes and it will never be the same again.

Peace,

Listened to Hogan on the Bob & Tom show this morning and the first thing he did was cut a huge promo, semi-in-character about how Flair left a message on his answering machine last night being mad at Hogan for not being invited to Impact. Really gave you the impression that Flair is going to "crash" Impact tonight.

Regarding Shawn Michaels' outlook on real-life rival Bret Hart returning to World Wrestling Entertainment, he is said to be happy that the "Hitman" is coming back and is more than willing to bury whatever hatchet there is between them.

On the flip side, Triple H has been telling people he doesn't want Hart back in WWE and that he hopes his return to the company fails. Considering that his wife, Stephanie McMahon-Levesque, is head of creative in the company, it would appear that Vince McMahon may have to overrule his daughter and son-in-law if his storyline with Hart is to be a success. Providing things go well, a Hart vs. McMahon blow-off will be taking place at WrestleMania.

I would always take Sting over any other young star. The man is king of the mic.

Sting's a weird one... he was always mediocre on the mic in WCW but he's gotten great in TNA the last couple years.

Fuck triple h, was does he have against Bret anyway?

On a talk show in Canada, when the host asked what Bret thought of HHH (this interview was done in 2003 or 2002), Bret said something along the lines of HHH being the biggest ass kisser.

I guess things have always been icy between them. After all, HHH was the one who suggested they screw Bret.

RAW airs at the same time that TNA?

PWInsider.com reports that one of the surprises on January 4 could be the debut of "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson. Apparently WWE is very well aware of Danielson's popularity among internet wrestling community and the early debut of him is another response to TNA.:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

TNA is from 8-11 PM EST

Raw is from 9-11 PM EST

Wouldn't surprise me if both shows run long though.
Oh Snap!
I have to convert those times to Argentina time zone.
Going to be sick! WWE is going to step up their game! And dont bury the best heel of the year just because he didnt wear a suit!!

EDIT: If any Argentino is lurking, here you have the converted time

Believe me, Vince will burry HHH and his daughter for the sake of business.

Damn, I can't believe I agree with a Mark Madden article.

But yeah, he sums up how I feel about the whole situation perfectly. The feeling reminds me of how I felt back when WCW was doing its "reboot." Like, I really, really, really wanted it to be awesome, but I knew deep down that it wasn't going to be.

I don't really get that mentality. So Bret is coming back to WWE and that's enough to make some forget that RAW has been a disaster for who knows how long now? He's going to be one part of a two hour show. RAW always manages to have something entertaining in that two hours, it's hard not to. But the problem is that they can't put on a full show that's entertaining. This is the same show that very recently put on the trash that was Little People's Court. The same show that trots around (a neutered) Degeneration X like they're still relevant. And then you have your weekly Cena debacle.

My expectations for TNA aren't all that high though. I just expect it to be better than RAW. Largely because it actually seems like they're trying, which is more than I can say for what goes on with RAW.

Well the highlight match of HHH's career is being squashed by the Ultimate Warrior. I would expect him to be power hungry.
