My money's on Lakers to 3-peat.
My money is on Lakers/Spurs Vs Celtics/Bulls/Magic. I would love it if the knicks make it, but that's a long shot.

11th place in the Western conference! Go Rockets! We also have a winning record now.

11th place in the Leastern conference can't say that!
You can still trade picks with us. I'm sure Morey genius has some plan in regards to taking our lower pick.

I thought he would get too old to reach 7, but he'll only be 33 if they get 7 straight (though Kobe is 32 and has already slowed down). Wade would be 36.

Oh and LOL at this:

Bulls forward Joakim Noah says the contempt for Miami may cut even more deeply.

He relayed a story about walking on Miami Beach Saturday, getting recognized by some fans who had a message.

“I was pretty amazed … so many people saying ‘Beat the Heat’ in their own hometown,” Noah said. “In Chicago, I don’t think that happens.”

Thunder playing small ball again with Durant at the 4. Guess why? Because they have no spacing with Ibaka and Collison. It'll be the same problem when Perkins is healthy.

If the Playoffs started today we would see Oklahoma City matched up with Denver and Los Angeles matched up with Portland.

I really hope the seeding stays the way it is because those would be a couple of awesome first round series to watch.

Oklahoma City vs Denver is the worst series imaginable. You'd have 80 free throws per game and they'd last longer than a trax post. The other night the FThunder took 47 free throws and Denver took 25 in the 4th quarter alone (on the road no less). That series could be pretty much unwatchable.

It feels like OKC has coaching problems sometimes, but they did well last year so I really don't know what to say. Hammer Westbrook into a little more traditional role maybe. And just player better D. They're on the cusp of being pretty good.

Jeff is salty. Thunder maybe too many free throws, but the new nuggets aren't like that. It was just that one game. Let off a little.

Denver? Aren't they second in the league to the FThunder for FTAs per game? If they're not 2nd, surely they're no worse than 3rd.

New nuggets I said. All that ish was Melo. When you have an assassin on your team, you don't need free throws.

Wait until you see healthy Gallinari. Dude seems to have more ref respect than Knicks Carmelo.

Ah, possibly. Afflalo, Smith, and Nene were doing lots of arm flails on their drives though. Durantics all over the place.

One thing is for sure, the Nuggets are a better team after the trade. I think they were an easy out in a series before Melo left, now they're a scary team.

How long before Wade asks to be traded or asks for Lebron to get shipped out? I noticed that Wade made some comments about not getting the ball in the clutch. Spo has no control over the team and Lebron seems to be forcing Wade into the Pippen role and Wade doesn't like that.

Gallo is in the top 20 for ft attempts. Don't listen to the people that call him a 3pt specialist. He also has more dunks than melo even though he has less shots at the basket.

Melo wants to get to the line, Gallo wants to get to the line after the rim.

Maybe.

In the two games they've played against each other this season, there was a combined total of 127 free throw attempts between both teams.

I wish Playoff atmosphere would cancel out some of those attempts, but even just looking at the amount of trips to the line OKC got at home against LA in 3 games last season... 113. One Hundred Thirteen free throw attempts. In three (3) games. Playoffs.

Now it feels like no matter who the Thunder play, the series is destined to be a borefest even before the first tip.

I'll admit I didn't watch too much of Gallo before the trade (who did, am i rite), but the first two games he looked good. Didn't seem to bait calls like Melo. He just went strong to the rim and they didn't stop him properly.

And JR's antics should not color the whole team. He may be semi-retard when it comes to BBIQ. Lawson recently started to do that (kinda came with the increased minutes) but personally it wasn't too unpleasant. I find them now (nuggs have been my most watched team after the rox) to really be pleasing to watch with the effort and defense. Afflalo is starting to become a real force, not just the defense specialist with a few handles.

I actually clamored to be allowed to start nuggs-age last season about half-way through but no one wanted to join/ apparently I can't be part of two 'ages.

Damn rockets 8-2 in the last 10. I actually do feel good about this current squad. But the grizzlies aren't messing around at all. Hopefully the other teams start playing badly, but the west is just so stacked.

I think Den takes mostly legit fts, not a lot of flopping going on.. Just the game plan is to attack the cup

For a person who complains about refs every Jazz game seems like you would be in favor of a team who gets fouled getting the call on the road..

"Much has been made about the uncertainty of Knicks president Donnie Walsh returning next season — but coach Mike D'Antoni's future seems in question, too.

Following the blockbuster additions of Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups two weeks ago, the Knicks have assembled a club that is not built in D'Antoni's speedball image.

So with one year left on his contract and his biggest supporter, Walsh, up in the air, there is mystery to D'Antoni's long-term security —– fairly or unfairly.

D'Antoni's greatest attribute as coach is perfecting a high-speed attack, which the club is slowly moving away from.

The coach figured he'd surely be back if he guided the Knicks to their first playoff berth since the 2003-2004 season. But what now? As D'Antoni admitted last week, "The stakes are now higher."

One league executive told The Post, "I think the question for next season will be, is D'Antoni the right guy to lead a team with a halfcourt star in Anthony and a [soon-to-be] 35-year-old point guard [Billups]?"

Dealing with another roster overhaul should be par for the course for D'Antoni. Every season as Knicks coach, he's dealt with roster-rocking, in-season trades.

In his two-plus seasons, D'Antoni has coached 34 players, which amounts to essentially three different teams."

What do our Knickerbocker fans think about this?

Most knick fans want D'Antoni strung up. Personally I think he's done all he could with the teams he's been given. The earliest he could be fired would be mid next season imo. There are no expectations besides the playoffs this year. But I think he'll be here until it's apparent that this team isn't winning shit, thats gonna be a couple more years...

I'm not a KNICKS TIME fan, but D'Antoni needs to be canned. I am not so sure the Rockets keep Adelman after this season, so they should go after him.

Walsh needs to stay though.

He hasn't had a full year with any team he's had. All of his teams have been blown up one way or another, even this year. Next year he will be on the hottest of all seats as we expect to be title contenders.

Let's seee how well he adapts to his talent rather than talent adapt to him.

This was probably posted yesterday but for those who missed it.. this was another gem from SVG.

Asked if the Magic had made any case to the league office about how they feel Howard has been excessively fouled, Van Gundy said he thinks outside input doesn't carry much weight at the league office.

"This is the system David Stern and his minions like it," Van Gundy said. "So that's the system you have ... I certainly can't have an opinion because David Stern, like a lot or leaders we've seen in this world lately, don't really tolerate other people's opinion or free speech or anything. So I'm not really allowed to have an opinion. So it's up to him. He decides and he likes the system he has."

Darko missed three games because of the birth of his child and Timberwolves fans wish he had missed significantly more.

AK47 and Millsap are probably out for tomorrow. While Favors should start in place of Millsap, I have no hope in Hayward replacing AK in the starting lineup. It's going to be Raja-CJ at the wings...

Meh, I wish I could find the video for the Darko Lottery that the Onion Sportsdome did. The premise was that every year they had a lottery to see who would be stuck with Darko that season and all the GMs were on pins and needles praying it wouldn't be them. It was priceless.

I thought it was the Kwame lottery? Either way, yes it was awesome.
