This game just keeps calling me back.

i do wish the distance before low textures are used could be tweaked

Did you put this: [ bind h “toggle g_showhud;toggle hands_show” ] into your rageconfig.cfg file? It doesn't work properly, i still see the hud and the crossair...and i can't open the console neither

No, what i did was tweak rageconfig.cfg for the graphics and added on top com_allowconsole "1" so i can use the console (you press the "~" key) .Next i created another cfg (name it whatever you like for example test.cfg) and i added the commands to bind keys for specific actions like toggle HUD,weapon etc. ,for example: bind F6 "toggle g_showhud" ,when ingame open console with "~" and type "exec and the the name of your cfg with the extension" like this "exec test.cfg" so it can load the bind commands.

Maybe there is no need to create another custom cfg and put the commands in the rageconfig but i haven't try that.

It works thanks for the info! :) and it works if you have it all in the rageconfig.cfg

Hey-o. Post dat in the compendium!

Also nice second shot there. Very concept art.

Huh. I didn't have any problems with it. Just didn't think it would be a good idea to post 2 massive portrait shots on top of each other. They aren't conducive to forum layouts.

In Chrome, and I assume other brothers but I don't know for sure, but if you have images next to each other in a quoted image, if you try to right click one that isn't on the leftmost side then it expands downward and you can't view it in a new tab.

You can get around it by using chromes console to view all images on the page and just finding it in there, but it is really annoying to try and view a screenshot in it's own tab when there are two images next to each other in quotes.

Woah wait what the fuck?

When was this? I played through this game in one day and don't remember this part at all.

It's from the haunted house ride, a little bit after the diner scene with Jenny.

Edit: No offense Akira but that is the most disgusting enb shot I've ever seen :D

That's it. I'm getting Darkness II
It's only half the game that The Darkness 1 is (in terms of both quality and literal amount of content), but the cel shaded style lends itself to fantastic screenshots.

Worth playing for Mike Patton and the interesting mental hospital subplot.

That's it. I'm getting Darkness II

It's a decent game but unfortunately it doesn't have any of the originality and ambition the first game(my favorite fps) had. Some of the mini-hubs are cool though, and the characters are fun to listen to for the most part. Play the first game if you haven't though, it still holds up as something truly special.

My other issue is as a massive fan of the first game the sequel, both in artstyle and tone, feels wildly of a different world. Still, decent game worth playing.

Edit: Your NFS: Most Wanted screenshots are so good. Downloaded for the wallpaper rotation.

I feel like it should be clarified though that while the game may be a bit short and mediocre in some aspects, the combat is pretty awesome - though the enemy types could certainly be more varied.

They added a lot of cool new features, but taking out the executions(and the wonderful arm animations that went with them) was a poor decision. But then again they wouldn't have really fit in with the more gamey approach I suppose.

Woah woah wait what?

There are executions in Darkness 2, and they were god damned gnarly. Unless I'm misunderstanding you?

I'm talking about the gun specific ones, in the first game if you got up close to an enemy you'd press your gun to their head in a variety of different ways for an instant kill. Really gave the combat a bit of weight, as this happened in real time. You pulled the trigger like firing regularly, as opposed to the tentacle ones in the Darkness 2 where everything around you stops and you become invincible. The animations for them were brilliant, the first game still has the best in the genre.

Ah okay I get what you mean. I've never played the first one, I've only watched a Giantbomb playthrough of it.

Oh woah, didn't know they had a video of it. Going to watch it now. In any case, pick it up when you can. Should be super cheap now, and it really is a great game.

Edit: Drew ;-;

Edit 2: Mike Patton was so much better in the first game, he was a bit too exaggerated in the second game.
