I like it. Wish the split window had made it in, but it looks like the Vette and Ferrari California had a child and it's looking good.

Mst see it in black. Even white might look good too. Photoshop gurus?

Damn, I know a year or two ago it was still crappier than the vette in pretty much every way AND more expensive. I really have to see what the new viper is like then.

uh is that how it got a faster time on the N ring than the vette ZR1 last year? the ACR / X track model Vipers have quite a good rep on the track and in racing.

Yup. It looks like an Italian exotic supercar. Can't believe people don't like this design... unless you're loaded with nostalgia.

I like it mostly, even the interior looks fine to me, but the back end seems chunky. I like the buttresses and the shape of the back glass, it's just the actual rear bumper area could be improved. They copied so many Ferrari cues with the rest of the car but that rear end looks too much like a GM muscle car instead of a corvette.

Do you have a link? Most of the car magazines I looked at had the ZR1 and the viper either tied or a slight edge vs. the viper in 0-60, 1/4 mile, etc. and the ZR1 tested vs. the viper tested was a $20k difference. I never said they were terrible or something but the vette has always tied for beat them the last while and that's with the viper cost $15k-20k more than the corvette. Do you have a link to the times?

Edit:

It says the 2012 ZR1 beat the viper by over 3 seconds? Are you talking about something else?

So the important question is, will we see a drop in C6 prices anytime soon? :) hoping so score a Z51 C6 for a good price this year.

Honestly probably not. They are already super discounted and the c7 isn't that much superior considering the price premium you will pay. If anything I expect prices to stay firm as this new model is a love it or hate it type. Many existing owners do not like it.

I want to see it in blaaaaaack..

There's a black model in the background of these shots.

Not the best view, but it's something for now.

Despite what someone said, the arrival of the C7 will undoubtedly cause used C6 prices to soften. But it won't really be felt until the C7 actually goes on sale. Many C6s will go on the used market as their owners upgrade. I think what it will immediately do is narrow the difference in value between late model and older used C6s.

I hope so, corvette prices are too inflated; owners are selling them for easily $5k more than KBB values..get the heck outta here with that. When does the C7 go on sale officially?

I'm just waiting on some Photoshop wizard to do a mockup of a C7.R.

Gonna fap myself dry to that.

Oh god. Can't wait to see and hear it hauling around Le Mans with Jake attached. Fucking sex.

For those that want to really geek out with some engineering and product discussion, Car and Driver YouTube channel has a 2 part interview before the reveal and a condensed interview with relevant discussion visuals after the reveal. Everything from design, structure, suspension and chassis, interior, and even some product bs. Very good stuff.

looks fantastic.

I'd fuck with it. Looks flawless in Grey. I'd like to see better pics of it in red. The pics in the thread lose some definition with all the reflections.

C7 looks exotic. I would prefer body colored vents though; black on red is a bit busy. This is basically a $50k Ferrari, in looks if not performance. Those comparing it to Viper need to remember the Viper will cost nearly twice as much.

I like the interior overall, but looking at some of the close-ups it looks like they have some work to do getting the body seams & gaps to be more uniform. Could just be a preproduction issue.

Overall I like it; but I'm not going to rush out & put a deposit down.

What does the interior look like? :O

EDIT: It's passable. Ages better than the shit they've had in the previous versions.

Imagine that shit in Gunmetal Gray.

EDIT EDIT: Saw it in that color on the last couple of pages. Jizz commencing.

It's quite a busy design. Lot's of angles and straight lines and not many curves. Not sure if I like it or not. Don't agree that it looks European. European super cars tend to look softer, more curvy with the possible exception of some of the Lambo's.
I'll have to download the GT5 version and take it for a spin!

Rather see the European privateers carving up Spa with it.

I think Le Mans is such a boring track; I think the race is interesting for what it is and love how well Corvette Racing has done there over the past decade.

If only Chevy could make a sports car whose ass end didnt look so huge. Seriously, I love the rest of the design but it looks like they got to the back and were like "fuck it lets get some beers".

http://jalopnik.com/5840489/dodge-viper-acr-sets-new-nurburgring-lap-time-of-712and-some-change

2010 ACR dodge Viper. the ZR1 beat the 2008 time of 7:22 with a 7:19 if i remember correctly. 2010 hit 7:12

Shit I have fallen in love with it already. The guys at GM nailed this one. Absolutely gorgeous.
