DAT stairs of shame, LOL.

And a Uruguay that played poor and whose best player is out injured? Yes.

Thanks. Got it.1) Football. Not soccer.
2) 8 groups. 4 teams per group. 2 best in each group qualify for round of 16.
3) Fifa dosen`t allow for video checking, so referees make mistakes and people rage a lot.
4) Uruguay was not supposed to lose to Costa Rica. Thats what makes this so fucking good.

Every single time i get asked why i love football, i showed them the last 5 minutes of Italy vs Germany from the 2006 WC. If they can't get it with that, nothing will.

That's a painful read. Also funny how twelve million was still a normal amount to pay for a player for us back then.
Well, we fixed the same problem by buying Mertens and Strootman and selling them for more. Buying Robinho's might be out of the question but Campbell didn't cost more than 1 million when Arsenal picked him up according to the staff despite his talent being obvious.
We might be derailing this thread a little though
Time for England and Italy now?
Still my favourite world cup match ever, even though it was goalless in normal time.
There have been too many goals in this world cup so far. The defences have been shit. And most teams have played like headless chickens, without control or shape. I guess I'm a purist lol
Thanks. Got it.

Dying :lol :lol :lolTime for England and Italy now?
Now I'm starting to be a bit afraid of Honduras...
This what I always do and I don't even know why. But not today. Forza azzurri! If it wasn't against Italy I'd be cheering for you.
I fucking love playing England if only for the self depricating British fans. Like sad puppies I just want to give them all a hug. Brits are cool in my book but probably the least confident and pessimistic fan base on earth. And footy threads when they play is entertaining and hilarious. If it wasn't against Italy I'd be cheering for you. Here's to a good match.

They don't have one. Gaston Ramirez is not good and Suarez didn't play. Their midfield sucks creatively.Uruguay's manager is absolutely terrible based on this "performance". Can't imagine they don't have a single playmaker to call upon, and there was no real shape or plan whatsoever. Cavani was terrible on the ball, frankly, but a #9 needs service, and the creative reigns were completely at the feet of a 35-year old who plies his trade in Japan.
Costa Rica did well though. Joel Campbell showed he could compete physically which is so key if you want to be a lone striker. That he could basically win them the game on the football stage shows he's abit special.
