So on Wednesday I traded Martavis Bryant for Antonio Andrews. I did this because

A) I had no reliable 2nd RB. Besides McCoy my other RB's were Duke Johnson, CMike, and Matt Jones
B) Roethlisberger got hurt again which I figure will hurt Bryant's production
C) Bryant has a bye week and I'm trying to make a push for the playoffs at 4-5
D) I already have 3 WR's that I'm confident in(DT, Macklin, John Brown).

Oh and I traded him to the guy I'm playing this week. I hate fantasy football so much.

Ended up burning me, though, because the TE he picked up went off for something like 15 points. Haha. Thems the breaks.



I ditched him weeks ago. You should just go out and pick up the next best QB. There is still hope! Well, depending on your record, there is still hope!

it's bush league because if it weren't there wouldn't be rules in place to prevent things like that. I refuse to play in a league that lets you pick up and drop a player on game day. In all my leagues its either 24-48 hours before game day you can't pick up and then drop someone immediately, it locks you out.

Don't beat yourself up about it too much... well, okay, maybe dealing him to your opponent this week was a little foolhardy.

You employed sensible logic when dealing Bryant. On bye next week. Facing the lockdown D of the Seahawks in Week 12. And then, if you even make it into the playoffs, he gets the Bengals and Broncos back to back. That's not ideal... plus Ben seems to be toughing it through a new ailment each week.

I dealt Bryant this week in a league where I'm 4-5 for Matt Ryan. He's had a mediocre season but at least it's another guy I can stream with Tannehill. And I was in a similar situation with receiver depth I'm confident in.

What a horseshit week for fantasy. My benched players (West, Langford) who, on paper, had objectively shitty matchups put up huge points. And of course Big Ben, who wasn't supposed to play, dropped 27 pts on my bench. Everyone I started put up nothing.

EDIT: I may still be able to eke out a win though, what do you think my chances are? My opponent has 70 on the board with Bernard (Cin) still left to play, and I have 52 on the board with Bengals D and Eifert still left to play. If Eifert goes off I think I can win, but who knows.

Garbage. It's part of the game. Besides, that still wouldn't apply to any league I'm in. You have to keep the players until Wednesday. You can't just pick them up and drop them.

I don't know what the rules are in other leagues but our league uses the (I think) Yahoo default add/drop rules. All available players go on Waivers until Weds, at which point they are free agents and anyone can add them. All dropped players go to waivers for 3 days. You can add/drop players freely, there is no minimum time they need to be on your roster.

But this guy could have picked up Rawls for free any time between Weds-Sat. He didn't. That's on him. I just made a move to ensure he would be punished for that mistake if Lynch couldn't go. Call it bush league if you want, but I'm playing to win and I'll do anything I can within the rules to make that happen.

None of them are especially worthwhile... but in the absence of being able to stream the QB facing the Saints next week, I'd prefer Smith out of everyone else on that list.
