Production-wise, I believe they're listed as 7.12 and 7.13, but since they're labeled as "Series Finale Part 1" and "Series Finale Part 2" I'd assume they knew both were going to air on the same night. So while setting the DVR for Thursday I noticed the episode title... Is this just two 30 minute episodes in a row or a single hour long episode? Just asking because of the semicolon in the title.
A couple NY Mag features as we head towards the finale:
- Matt Zoller Seitz on the Lasting Limberness of 30 Rock
- The Ten Best 30 Rock Episodes Ever
Haha my thoughts exactly. I kept scrolling down wondering when MILF Island was showing up.A best 30 Rock episodes list that doesn't include "MILF Island"? Amateurs.
Hogcock!; Last Lunch
As Jack takes stock of his life, Liz struggles with her new role as a stay-at-home mother; Kenneth settles into his new job; the cast and crew come together for one last episode of TGS.
Oooooh, good find. Thanks.
Those planning to DVR the 30 Rock finale tonight, allow extra time at the end. Stuff happens in the tag.
- Emily Nussbaum for The New Yorker: 30 Rock: I Love This Dirty Sitcom

I think I'm going to marathon it tonight. I'm feeling sad. It's like a mini-LOST series finale for me.
Tracy and Jenna certainly got spotlighted more often than Liz for a while there but Liz and Jack (along with Tracy, Jenna, Kenneth, son on) have all had immensely satisfying stuff going on this season.Either last season or the one before I stopped watching the show because they were focusing so many episodes on Tracey Morgan and the blonde girl, I just don't care for them much and felt like the quality of the show overall wasn't up there anymore. I loved the show for Jack and Liz, in the last couple seasons where has the show been in terms of who gets the most screen time?
great but the best moment in it isn't even Jack, it's Liz's "Yes, may I please speak to Pizza."
