Wait what ?
So Giving a game away that was shipped broken and remains broken 2 week after release will get people to buy Xbox's ?
Refund and free with gold after they fix it. I know it will never happen, but it's what they should do.

What was the total cost to make and market MCC anyway? I'm guessing not that much.
I haven't heard of the Destiny issues nor seen complaints of it. It certainly not in the same league as the others.

You're insane.
Increased XB1 sales don't mean shit to 343. Just because they're part of Microsoft doesn't mean they're going to see any of the sales profits. MCC has been something they've been working on at least two years. And you want them to refund/give it away? No. Never going to happen, and nor should it.
Eh? At least DriveClub's single player & gameplay worked flawlessly and it was only the online that was blowing up their servers, whereas this seems like it has troubles no matter if it's online or off.
And I don't see why you're so butthurt about the PS+ Edition being delayed. It would have done no one any good if they had not only had actual paying customers screwing up the servers, but the potentially hundreds of thousands or even millions of other users playing the PS+ Edition as well. Everyone would have been miserable and possibly for far longer than they did now. They did the right thing with focusing on fixing the underlying issues for the paying customers first and only making the PS+ Edition available when they believe the issues are fully solved and won't cause another server overload.
Take in consideration that this is 4 retail games under one package and as many developers working at it. While on paper MCC issues are bigger compared to Driveclub, the fact that DC was done under one roof and delayed and still had/still have problem, make it, IMO, a worst case.
Probably more money than most gaffers will make in a life time.

To multibillion Microsoft though... Wouldn't even put a dent in their bankroll.
Ok so then on the flip side Driveclub is a new franchise and while I'm sure they had big hopes...
Halo on the other hand is a pilar on which the xbox brand was built. For your super collection to come out and be a buggy piece of shit...
Doesn't seem to me both games have the same weight as the other.
Oh good...the infinite money argument has made it here.
Why all the Reach bashing?
The Multiplayer was fun and the arena was a fairly solid ranked battleground
The story was great too. You guys just love hating don't you.

MS supporters are friends of MS.
If I was rich and I deceived and sold my friends something broken and they called me out on it, I would give it to them for free instead of losing friends and future sales.

It would be MS decision. 343i are funded through MS. Do you have a source of how long MCC has been in the works? Seems like it took less than a year.
Man, Halo Reach multiplayer was straight up garbage. I'm surprised people actually defend that game.
Not a single memorable new map, like 95% Forge maps (at least in the BTB playlist), new weapons were shit, Invasion mode wasn't played by anybody and only supported on like two maps, the armor abilities and loadouts were awful ideas, bloom, etc.
Biggest problem with Halo 4 multiplayer is that it continued with all the BS that Bungie introduced in Reach.
I know Arena wasn't well recieved in many places, but I just wanna say how much I loved it.
In some ways, it felt like the natural evolution of the Team Hardcore playlist in Halo 2.
Every month you compete, and the game lets you know how you rank in comparison to everyone else.
I just thought that was REALLY cool. It's a shame it didn't catch on.
Or instead it just sets the precedent to consumers that if a game isn't working at launch that everybody will get it for free.It has it's positives and negatives.
Marketing it free with XBL will get more people buying xb1's, Xbox live and will show good faith and character in MS. It will also put more people on to Halo5.
They messed up and screwed us over. They make enough money to take the hit on the cost of the game. They will make it back with increased sales overtime anyway.

It didn't catch on because the game wasn't competitive, at all. As someone said, bloom & armor lock are probably the 2 worst additions to the Halo franchise ever, and I doubt anything in 5 tops them.
People forget rather quickly how bad bloom was, this is a mechanic that made every encounter with the main precision weapon random, some people spammed, other paused their shots, other did 3 spam pause 2 spam, etc and no option guaranteed you could could win a DMR battle, so the outcome of every fight was a coin toss, then you put in a 5sk, no bleedtrough, sprint, armor lock, it only made it more frustrating as this element had an impact on the Kill Times and the flow of the game.
I still remember how Frustrating it was to try and Killl with a bloom DMR a half shield opponent that was sprinting to hide. looking back at this, I prefer to pay 120 dollars for MCC as it is right now, than to play launch Reach.
This is pretty bad though. I can understand some games have problems but MCC is on another level. Plus the further negative effect it will have on the Halo name.
Good question. My guess is that the current QA process is inept to keep up with today's online gaming demands.
The list of AAA competitive/popular online games that don't work is longer than the list of ones that do.
BF4 (it still hasn't been fixed)
COD AW (terrible netcode)
Halo MCC (you know the drill)
DriveClub (you know the drill)
Destiny (Disconnects are becoming more and more problematic).
After all the issues are fixed on Halo: MCC what do you guys think 343i will give the consumers in return for their hard earned money to play the game and their lost patience?

Destiny? I think I have been disconnected from that game maybe 2 times which is an astounding feat if I think about how many hours I have put into it.

I can't believe people have the nerve to call others that paid full price for something that doesn't work as advertised "Entitled whiners" ! That shit makes me sick. What in the fuck?
It cost $60, it doesn't work, people have every fucking right to be upset ! Jeezus people.
lately for me I am being disconnected randomly every few hours, sometimes as I try to do something like quit an objective or walk between loading zones.
Got the 'untracked version, won't upload' bug 3 times today in Halo 4. I wonder how that one got through Q&A as it happens A LOT.
Realistically, how Long should it take to get this game to acceptable levels?
I have other games to play in the meantime so I don't mind too much. But it's still pretty much unacceptable that consumers are expected to be ok with waiting a month or more after launch to use a $60 product. They should've just delayed it a month.Unfortunately, I think it'll be at least 3 weeks. This is just a guess on my part.
