Not sure what you mean, it's machine learning upscaling of the video frame by frame, with stuff like thisAnyhow, who is the source of this upscaled stuff and what is "ai upscaling" here, attempt to counter NV's upscaling bazinga? (couldn't watch with audio on, sorry if it is mentioned)
Still waiting for these graphics.
Nah. Even Digital Foundry said we still haven't achieved those graphics. The polygon count and effects in that trailer are still miles ahead of anything we've seen this gen. Things like volumetric clouds and other things you mentioned like smoke, fire, explosions are a whole generation ahead of what we have now. Next gen should surpass it though.Time for you to upgrade your GPU or Xbox. Those visuals have been bested since 2007 (except for the fire, explosion, smoke sim. that trailer ha not aged well).
How have we gotten such pointless remasters and games like this, Socom, and Resistance were ignored ?
OT: I thought this was upscaled on PS5. Nothing would be more exciting than Bloodborne at 4k/60fps

Remasters part 2 incoming.
Didn't we had a bunch of those this gen already?
None of the games you mentioned could pull off those visuals along with all those effects that are of CGI quality.Disagree.

Faces = Crysis 2007, Mustache Man The Order 1886, TLOU2, RDR2 2020
Textures, Look&Feel = Crysis 2007 modded, the order 1886 (certain levels), TLOU2, open world RDR2, Doom 2016 looks better than that
Models = all the game above
animations? = ok, but then again that was an offline video rendered by an art-studio and not the developer themselves. TLOU2 and RDR2 have improved alot in this regard.
Nothing about that trailer is impressive in 2015+ and we will never get "real life" animations for every (inter) action in a game. In short, we have better visuals, better models, better assets for years now. If you believe we have not achieved better results than this, i dont know ..
Imagine once consoles are able to do path tracing, we'll probably start getting all the current gen and next gen games being path traced and sold as remasters lol.You expect it to just stop? We already have Spiderman and Demon Souls on the way just for launch. Thats not going to stop, at least if we're going to keep getting them. Lets get worthy Remasters.

Ya that's why I hate when it people say they'd take better graphics with 30fps. I don't care how good the game looks, 30fps makes the game in movement look ugly and choppy. It's not just "feel".Wow that is seriously impressive. Sometimes I forget what a differences 60fps makes. I seem to be noticing it more easily lately and whenever I look at 30fps games they become so jerky and stuttery now... but I want my ray tracing in games so I don't see myself playing with 60fps modes on next gen games...
It will be cool if by default the PS5 plays most PS4 games at 60fps though that is a worthy reason to re-play a lot of games.
Is backward compatibility considered a remaster? That's news to me. A lot of people would like to play their favorite current-gen games in higher fidelity.Remasters part 2 incoming.
