& looking GREAT.

Is this how PS4 games will run on PS5 or will the next-gen patches upgrade them even further?

more on the channel.

Wow that is seriously impressive. Sometimes I forget what a differences 60fps makes. I seem to be noticing it more easily lately and whenever I look at 30fps games they become so jerky and stuttery now... but I want my ray tracing in games so I don't see myself playing with 60fps modes on next gen games...

It will be cool if by default the PS5 plays most PS4 games at 60fps though that is a worthy reason to re-play a lot of games.

I don't see anything special about GoW that I haven't seen on my non pro PS4 already.

Anyhow, who is the source of this upscaled stuff and what is "ai upscaling" here, attempt to counter NV's upscaling bazinga? (couldn't watch with audio on, sorry if it is mentioned)

Not sure what you mean, it's machine learning upscaling of the video frame by frame, with stuff like this

The TLOU2 and God of War footage has tons of horrible artifacts but it's okay to illustrate the smoothness of the motion at the least.

Its strange that they didn't just record TLOU2 gameplay with the "slow motion" cheat on and then double the speed in post to achieve 60 frames a second without any artifacts or as much time as that ML interpolation would've taken.

Contrast these two Digital Foundry videoes, one where they use (bad) interpolation in post that takes a literal day to render out the '60 fps' result and the same method I mentioned above with the slow motion cheat (It works in UC4 as well) on Uncharted:The Lost Legacy as well:

60fps for PS4 Uncharteds would be so sweet, bring on the PS4 emulation lol Maybe in 10 years.

If I have 60fps 4K Bloodborne I might have to wait to play Demon's. Like damn that's the dream. This looks incredible!

Time for you to upgrade your GPU or Xbox. Those visuals have been bested since 2007 (except for the fire, explosion, smoke sim. that trailer ha not aged well).
Nah. Even Digital Foundry said we still haven't achieved those graphics. The polygon count and effects in that trailer are still miles ahead of anything we've seen this gen. Things like volumetric clouds and other things you mentioned like smoke, fire, explosions are a whole generation ahead of what we have now. Next gen should surpass it though.

How have we gotten such pointless remasters and games like this, Socom, and Resistance were ignored ?

OT: I thought this was upscaled on PS5. Nothing would be more exciting than Bloodborne at 4k/60fps

Because that's not a game, not even made by guerilla games, but i agree with everything else

Disagree.

Faces = Crysis 2007, Mustache Man The Order 1886, TLOU2, RDR2 2020
Textures, Look&Feel = Crysis 2007 modded, the order 1886 (certain levels), TLOU2, open world RDR2, Doom 2016 looks better than that
Models = all the game above
animations? = ok, but then again that was an offline video rendered by an art-studio and not the developer themselves. TLOU2 and RDR2 have improved alot in this regard.

Nothing about that trailer is impressive in 2015+ and we will never get "real life" animations for every (inter) action in a game. In short, we have better visuals, better models, better assets for years now. If you believe we have not achieved better results than this, i dont know ..

Remasters part 2 incoming.

Didn't we had a bunch of those this gen already?

You expect it to just stop? We already have Spiderman and Demon Souls on the way just for launch. Thats not going to stop, at least if we're going to keep getting them. Lets get worthy Remasters.

Disagree.

None of the games you mentioned could pull off those visuals along with all those effects that are of CGI quality.

Imagine once consoles are able to do path tracing, we'll probably start getting all the current gen and next gen games being path traced and sold as remasters lol.

If I can play Bloodborne on PS5 with 2s load times, I'm in.

...otherwise, I'll just wait for the Switch port. Search your feelings, you know it be trueventually.

Ya that's why I hate when it people say they'd take better graphics with 30fps. I don't care how good the game looks, 30fps makes the game in movement look ugly and choppy. It's not just "feel".

This seems more like what would be possible if it was remastered. The PS5 version will only upscale but nowhere near what Gigapixel is doing.

I'm not saying it won't look good but I have my doubts it would look as good as the videos.

The very first 3 seconds of that Bloodborne video is already all that's needed to be said, how on earth can people lie to themselves that 30FPS is enough? Nevertheless, this is exactly how PS4 games should be running on PS5, seriously, even if it requires manual patching, there's not that many games that makes it an impossible task.

Bloodborne has serious engine limits that break it at 60fps. Given that From hasn't patched it since, 1.09 is it? And never fixed the frame pacing issue, I would not hold out hope for a patch for it to significantly upgrade the engine
