Ugh, can't stress how good Femme Fatale, Venger, Sentient, Death Squad, Souls at Zero and The Uncanny Valley are. Been on repeat.

Was listening to FM-84 debut album, and some of the vocals sound really close to Killers' last album (Running in the wild especially).

It's a great album anyway, my mind is playing tricks with me xD

So, I decided to take a break from binging the new Perturbator. Don't want to get burned out on it. Have been hearing it endlessly since it came out. Played Meteor's Parallel Lives, and DAMN! what a bloody excellent album! Guitar-driven synth with a lot of action-packed movements, but with a great deal of melody as well. The blazing solos only add to the awesomeness. Loving it and thoroughly recommend it to those who haven't heard it.

Would be kind of sick if all artists in this genre that have mainly non-vocal tracks, had instrumentals of their ones that did.

Usually if I get burnt out on this sort of music it's all or nothing, not just an artist. In that regard, I'm bangin this Uncanny Valley for a while nonstop dgaf. I did check that Meteor album for a few min, pretty cool.

Yep, it's a great album. One of the biggest surprises of the year to me so far.

I still haven't placed an Uncanny Valley order, still conflicted about what to get.

The boxset is TWICE the price of the 2xLP (from Amazon), I don't care about the box or trinkets, but the EP sounds REALLY good.

Thank you for recommending Makeup and Vanity Set, GAF. This is majestic.

I keep playing this song. Such surreal, emotional bliss.

Majestic is such an appropriate word for their work. Wilderness is nowhere near as tight as 88 (it's a tad too long) but the good stuff in there is also astounding.

I haven't had the time to listen to their new album (i actually just started right now), im onto track 3 and it's very different but, as always, much better produced than most stuff released in the genre. The second song sounds straight out of a dark thriller 80's movie.

EDIT:
Don't think anyone mentioned it but Makeup and Vanity Set also released a album today https://makeupandvanityset.bandcamp.com/album/hit-tv

Its pretty dark and moody.

I just listened to the whole thing and I had a blast. From my first impression this is much more ambience than the other two (i like how different wilderness, 88:88 and this are). Julia track is just cheerful as fuck. I can see myself listening to that track hundreds of time. I really hope Makeup and Vanity set gets the chance to compose for some movies.

It's really hard to just pinpoint one song out.

Weapons For Children, Death Squad, Femme Fatale, Venger, Sentient, Souls at Zero and the title track are my favourites.

My code name to talk about the album was # ABBA666 and we feel that you're gone fully into this delirium occult. How do you think it will be received?

JK: Every time I go something I stress to death. Either I'm told that it's always the same shit, or you rattle it is too different, or it is copied Carpenter Brut which is copied to Dan Terminus is copied on me ... go they say that I did not care, anyway, this is the last album of Perturbator.

That's right, you're gonna break our heart like that or you're just drunk?

JK: No, it's true, I think stop after that. Even if I stop Perturbator, I would continue to make music. But I think with this project, I've been around what I meant. This is a fairly ephemeral medium, one quickly turns around and it's so small! We fuck us all what: I fucked Gost, I kissed Tommy 86, Carpenter Brut fucked me ...

What the fuck?

Better to go out with a bang than with a whimper, I guess.

I understand and respect his decision, though. He probably wants to branch out and do different things, and it's probably for the best to stop using the name Perturbator when he does so. That way, fans won't be disappointed if his music is going to sound drastically different from his previous tunes.

Also, kudos for not just milking past successes for easy money.

Blood Music statement regarding Perturbator (from /r/outrun):

I hope this subject will get removed or edited because it is insinuating fact from a one-off statement made at the end of his tour right before his new album is coming out.
I cannot say whether or not there will be another album, but for sure the statement is not something to be taken overly seriously at this time. I spoke to James on release date, and he was extremely calm and excited to get back into things shortly. If such an announcement were to be made, I think we would make it officially and publicly.

I was underwhelmed by the new John Carpenter. The older album, Lost Themes 1, was fantastic. Have heard it endlessly since it came out. The new one just doesn't do it for me for some reason. Much shorter songs too this time around, and they're not given a whole lot of time to breathe.

Distant Dream, Angel's Asylum, Last Sunrise, and Utopian Facade dude!

My Uncanny Valley box set finally arrived!

Its very well done, though its a shame about all of the seam splits. Its not too bad though, I don't really mind them. Listening to the bonus tracks now, I quite like them. The arcade version of Future Club is fantastic.

My set just came in too, seems I'm not the only one with seam splits on the bonus EP? :(

Ive got splits on both quite bad. The quality of the sleeve itself isn't that great. The spine is poorly aligned, it doesn't look big enough. The box it comes in is fantastic though. I'm not too bothered really, I listen to it more than I'll look at it and the records themselves are fine (from an initial look).

Question about people who got their Uncanny Valley orders already, what part of the world are you in? I live like, right next to Finland and I'm a bit worried due to me leaving on a prolonged trip on Monday so there's only two business days left for me to get my package in the mail. Dunno why this didn't ship in advance.
