This shit right here is fire!

Got that right. I've never listened to Waveshaper or Danger so this'll hopefully be a good introduction to them.

This Danger song isn't my typical shit when it comes to this style of music but I definitely dig it.

This year has been so sick for the genre.

My Gost LP arrived, I wasn't a huge fan before but the more I listen the more it grows on me. I definitely feel towards the end of the album that songs can get quite messy, seems like a lot of the instruments trip over each other. It's solid though and I love the look of the cover and the vinyl itself.

Excuse my brothers fingers...

Got so many LPs on their way in the next two months. Waveshaper in June. HM1 OST, Gunship, Furi in July. Should keep me occupied for a while.

Cannot justify with only so many tracks to preview, is there any chance the rest go live once it releases?

artists themselves probably will post some previews, but the releasedate is quite soon already so not a long wait in any case.

Had to order the vinyl though right away, these are some of the best synthwave artists out there so even a deaf purchase is going to be worth it :D Don't want another Trilogy LP struggle.

No one wants a Trilogy or FEZ LP repeat! Ugh. Trilogy haunts me.

I have to say though I'm not the biggest fan of Waveshaper or a fifth of Brut's output. Gimme Sferro or Dance of the Dead and I'm on it!

Sorry to somewhat go OT, but what's your full audio setup? I never knew LPs were still a thing till a few years ago but lately I've been thinking of adding a decent 2.0 or 2.1 setup to my PC room.

I have a Marantz PM5005 integrated amp, Dali Zensor 3 as front speakers and my father's old Mission 760i's as rear speakers. My Turntable is a Rega RP1 with a Denon DL110 cartridge.

I managed to get the Dali speakers for a fantastic price they are worth around £300 brand new, I bought a used pair for £200 but the seller found an issue with the ones he sold me so bought a brand new pair and sent them over to me . They are fantastic, good bass and very lively and detailed for bookshelf speakers. Pretty much unbeatable for the price I got them for.

Cheaper alternatives include Dali Zensor 1, Q acoustics 2020i/3020, Monitor Audio Bronze 2, Wharfedale diamond 10/9.1.

Amps are a bit more difficult, depending on what inputs you need. Yamaha, Marantz, Onkyo and Denon do good affordable amps. If you are wanting to get into Vinyl you will need an integrated amp or a separate phono stage.

Best thing to do is to do some research on speakers that work for music you like, then go listen to them. If that isn't possible find somewhere that is easy to return products to (Amazon for example).

Prices vary depending on where you are from of course. Feel free to PM me if you have any further questions.

Any fans of Anoraak?

He just released a new song called "Figure" and announced a new ep out June 17th.

You can find the song on Spotify.

The Furi soundtrack is now available for pre-order !

Furi Devs said:
We have a BIG TRIPLE musical announcement for Furi.
We have just unveiled the lineup of popular electro musicians who have composed original creations for Furi: CARPENTER BRUT, DANGER, THE TOXIC AVENGER, LORN, SCATTLE, WAVESHAPER and KN1GHT!

The original soundtrack will also be available in digital and in a beautiful double vinyl by Takashi Okazaki. You can pre-order them here: https://furi.bandcamp.com/
Last, we are holding a one-of-a-kind live concert with four of the musicians in Paris July 8th, more info: https://furigame.com/event We'd love to see you there!

Anybody going to see Perturbator perform at the Underworld in London next week? Dan Terminus and Ravewaves (who I haven't heard of before) are accompanying him. Someone I know had a spare ticket so I'm going along too. Should be great to hear him live!

Welp, I just spent $135.86 on synthwave vinyl, that's going to leave a mark.

ANYWAY, I think I just got a second job, so whatever, a celebratory splurge.

I grabbed:

Perturbator: Uncanny Valley (Purple) + Sexualizer EP.
Makeup and Vanity Set: Brigador vol. 1
Furi Soundtrack

I'm disappointed that Makeup and Vanity is charging $11 shipping, I really don't understand vinyl sellers not having a media mail option for domestic shipments.

Total price for Furi was just brutal, but the lineup is amazing and if I hesitated, I figure we'd have another Trilogy situation.

Shipping from Blood Music was pretty good, considering where it's coming from. I had to opt out of the boxset version, I couldn't justify $26 extra for the EP ($31 extra over the standard black version), regardless of how amazing Future Club Arcade is. Hopefully I don't have to wait to long, I decided to pay a little extra for the purple set over Amazon since they were out of stock anyway, and adding Sexualizer soften it by a few bucks versus getting that on Amazon as well.

Head's up, Blood Music is shutting down for a month or two in a couple of weeks, if you want to snag something in stock, do it now.

I came to This Thread looking for news on Carpenter Brut. Instead, I discovered Pilotpriest and Waveshaper.

Thanks, This Thread!

For anybody who ordered Perturbator's Uncanny Velley album from Blood Music, how long did it take to show up? I know it says it can take up to 6 weeks but I was just curious.

Still haven't received a shipping confirmation despite putting in my preorder in April.

So, I saw Perturbator, Dan Terminus and Ravewaves perform last night - and it was fantastic! When I'm not on a mobile connection I'll put some pictures up!

Question to people with the Uncanny Valley Vinyl. I was just playing my A/B side and notice a slight warp located in the centre creating a concave/convex kind of dip. Is anyone elses like this?

I'm worrying now because I can't remember if it was like that when I got it or if it has happened since. Makes me think my storage is making them go that way. Has been been quite warm and humid here but it's just strange it's just this one. Even the C/D side is fine.

The rest of my collection is fine too, so I'm thinking it was like that before I just feel like it was something I would have noticed. It plays fine but I don't want it to get any worse on account of my own mistake.

Someone please alleviate my fears...

I've just been listening on repeat... dat sax. I'll have to give Sunset a listen.

Yeah, Sunset is wonderful, love the guitar licks.

And a new album is indeed coming after I checked their bandcamp page. "Sunset is the first single from our upcoming album "Endless Summer"." Well that certainly has jumped to my most anticipated releases.

This is sort of random and a weird question but does anyone know of any artists/movies/etc with this synth sound in it?

https://youtu.be/XuhnPeYhC-s?t=1h2m36s *Doom 2016 soundtrack

Should start at 1h2m36sec
*best part 1h3m10sec

It's the long synth sound that lasts for well over 30sec, (not the piano obviously).

I would love to hear that dark, hellish synth in a synthwave track.

I've heard it else where but I can't recall where.
