80s style synth-pop/electro synth/cyberpunk music

Question about people who got their Uncanny Valley orders already, what part of the world are you in? I live like, right next to Finland and I'm a bit worried due to me leaving on a prolonged trip on Monday so there's only two business days left for me to get my package in the mail. Dunno why this didn't ship in advance.

Northern California and I got it on Wednesday. Also Groupees has a The NewRetroWave MEGA Bundle going on now.

My deluxe set of the new Perturbator hasn't even shipped and I live in the same city where Blood Music is operating from. Not too concerned about it, though – the guy running the label has been very open about how he operates and that it'll take time to ship out all 4000 or so pre-orders all by himself. Sure, maybe he should hire someone to make this stuff a better experience for the customers, but his target audience is mostly enthusiasts that have a lot of patience and passion and hiring someone makes it a bit more complicated to run a business in Finland.

Would love to have the album right now, though.

Yeah the new Waveshaper is great, maybe even better than Exploration 84.

Similar to Com Truise, the sound is kind of rudimentary (not in a pejorative sense) but can be highly emotive.

Been listening to FM-84's new album on a loop for the past week or so. Just the kind of dreamy, vocal-enhanced synthwave I can never seem to get enough of.

Brad Fiedel's remastered Terminator soundtrack is now also up on Spotify:

Sounds amazing as usual but in all new clarity.

Guess who just came back from seeing Carpenter Brut

It's me

That was fucking amazing... If you have the chance to see them, go!

I liked how diverse the audience was, there were electro people, black metaler, ordinary people, nerds... It was a super small venue and an awesome atmosphere. Everyone dancing and there also was something like a small moshpit at times.

Also got a shirt, patches were all sold out already...

Highly recommended

I've been getting into this genre recently, I've been listening to Gunship's album to death recently. I absolutely love Tech Noir (especially the parts leading to the chorus, it's so chilled, but not fond of the chorus itself) - and Fly for your Life. Can anyone recommend stuff that is similar to those?

I also really like Under Your Spell by Desire, A Real Hero by College and Nightcall by Kavinsky from the Drive soundtrack. I've been listening to Perturbator and a few other artists but nothing I've heard so far has properly scratched the itch, even if I have enjoyed it.

If you like vocal stuff give Le Cassette a try.

When can we expect new music? It’s been over a year since EP III.

Nothing expected before 2017. I’m a slow composer and things are very busy now. I have very little time to sit quietly with my keyboards and concentrate. But hey, Perturbator, GosT and Dan Terminus are releasing their albums soon so your stereos should be busy for at least a year! Haha.

:(

RAD-X01, "The Finish Line" is a double vinyl compilation featuring 12 amazing artists. Here's a starter for you, revealing 3 of the 12 top class synthwave talents! SEBASTIAN GAMPL, ROBERT PARKER and VHS DREAMS. More artists to be announced soon...

Managed to pick up the blue version of Gost's Behemoth today finally. Had been keeping an eye on it. £39, which is a stupid amount of money but a good price for it. I'm thinking with his new album coming around sometime soon prices might rise.

Also finally got around to Gunship, not the usual stuff I would listen to but I really like it. It's easy to listen to which is nice in between all of the heavy hitting stuff. Of course made my way over to their website and preordered the picture disc.

It'll be my first picture disc, wonder if it sounds as bad as people say...
