Only gone through it once so I need more time for it to sit, but seems weaker than the previous album.

Dream Catalogue in general hasn't been as good lately. HKE became obsessed with not being labeled vaporwave, but the styles he's moved on to as a result just aren't that interesting imo.

Birth of a New Day hit me almost immediately as an amazing album, though. Still a great listen.

Came out earlier this year but just got around to listening to it now, enjoying it a lot. Comes recommended to those who like a "space" sound, though you get some tracks with nice guitars on as well.

Per their newsletter, Makeup and Vanity Set's Brigador Vol. 2 should be out the second week of August:

the first major update and DLC for the game will be out the second week of august + with it will be the official release of BRIGADOR Volume 2. the second half of the soundtrack is a dark turn into the game's more atmospheric + analog synthesis based music. the main idea the devs had when we were working on the game was to have a really open atmosphere to explore some really dark, synthesized music alongside the energy of the first volume. some of the game's finer moments come from the brooding atmosphere they created along with the eerie heaviness of these tracks. this album quickly became my favorite part of this project. Volume 2 will be available digitally as DLC if you bought the game, digitally via iTunes / bandcamp / streaming, and as a double-vinyl gatefold album (!!). i'm excited to share it with everyone super soon.

Wow...I was listening to Drive radio app and I just discovered Vogel. This stuff is great.

Check out Vogel-Andromeda to get a feel for what I heard that made me perk up so much when listening to my synthwave radio app. Stuff is so golden.
