Not externally. But original pressing with the "fresh" cover is either splatter, black or red in 180g. And the "rotten" reprints are all red or black 140g vinyl.

Absolutely. It's a record. Unless you bought it just to sell it down the line, use it. If you keep it in very good condition, it'll still be resellable.

I think I only have 3 sealed records (out of 250+), and only because they're duplicates, and only because I *used* to worry about damaging them.

Open it and listen to it. Life's too short to keep a great album (or albums) sealed for eternity.

Yes, I want that record with the intention of playing it. Worth of the record comes from the desire to listen to it. If you're just planning to sell it down the line, just say so - it's fine and I do understand. Otherwise that record isn't worth anything if it won't get used for what it was made for.
