If you take Door 6, it's either the Safe Ending or the Knife Ending, right?

In the knife ending, doesn't everybody wind up dead, killed by Ace?

You only see Lotus and Junpei get killed by Ace, we don't know about everyone else, but we can safely assume they probably did get killed too.

I think Door 6 always equals Submarine ending.

Either way, you don't really talk to anybody after you go through Door 6 in the Knife ending, right?

Like I mentioned, it's like getting to read a 999 source book (like the ones you can buy in Japan of various games :3 )

So much awesome to be had :D

Uchikoshi was super nice to answer everyone's questions with the detail he went into that not even Japan was privy too.

Maybe these answers will appear on 2ch the day after lol
 
Stayed up all last night playing through the true ending. Goddamn. So glad I wandered into the OT and got interested in this gem. I was torn between the terror and hilarity of the ridiculousness of having to solve a sudoku under the pressure of imminent incineration. Also Gentarou's insane face pressed up against that window.

Stop teasing us. :'(

On another note I got Ever 17 this past week, I hope it's as good as 999 was.

Hmm, that sounds good. To avoid being selfish, though, I wouldn't mind it being a random one, as opposed to asking about something specific.

Haha, ironically, that's the one I chose ;)

Question: Lotus was a computer programmer once. Why is she dressed like a dancer? What's her current occupation?

Answer: She is currently supporting herself as a freelance programmer. The reason why she's dressed as a belly dancer is because she likes that style. Her hobby is to belly dance, so she's dressed like that.


Hopefully that whetted your appetites enough to hold you over for the main course ;)
 
Got myself the true ending (+ Alice? is her standing by the side of the road the extent of that ending?) today after getting the safe ending first a couple days ago.

I'm assuming that in the safe ending, June is sick and dies because you aren't able to save her in the past?

Absolutely off-topic but I couldn't find it anywhere. Where is the GAF GOTY 2010 post?

Did 999 get any love? I read some of the last posts in the voting thread and saw a few nominations.

It's a shame many people. (like me) started playing it this year. I reckon it would have gotten a another nomination if i had played it earlier.
 
I joined GAF to post on this thread... haha. Can't wait for the Q&A. One question though: Was it ever revealed what Snake "heard" behind door 5 in the first class bedroom? I can't remember anything about that later in the game.
