Platinumed Dragons Dogma, and almost platinumed Lollipop!
Will be working on Trine 1 and 2 hopefully. Saving trine 2 for my friend, we lose hours playing that together, and we piss ourselves at the stupid shit we do to eachother. Protip, try pulling a goblin in two seperate directions, you pulling one way, your friend the other. it turns into silly puddy!
 
So I spend 86 hours trying to get fucking lucky spin... now they patched it... OMFG!

Hopefully people enjoy the game more, so frustrating for me ; ;

And yeah I agree it sucks for those that slaved away for Lucky Spin before, lol. Hopefully they never patch The Shadows Rushed Me in Max Payne 3 to make it easier.

Can you and other GAFers tell me what I should expect when trying to 1000 Lollipop Chainsaw? What game can it be compared to in terms of difficulty? I bought it for my brother's birthday and I'm planning on playing it after I invest serious time into New Vegas.

So far on ps3trophies.org it's difficulty is 3/10, 20+ hours to plat, 2+ playthroughs (easy run + collectibles, I think new game+, then a fast hard run)

No fucking way, after the last month and however long it has been of playing little bits on and off they patch it now, bastards!
Still, going to go try and this now and can finally move onto the last few PvZ trophies.

Just got my vita a week or 2 ago. 100% on SSD today. Have had SSHD for some time on PS3 but hadn't played it till now. Still have like 2-3 trophies to grab in Just Cause 2.

Sorry just got home from work.
Honestly its easy. Even hard is a cake walk. Just jump. You're either invincible for the most of the frames, or something. Make sure you have high str and health, and the game is easy. You only need to playon hard for the wrappers. and ranked mode for the different enemies.

Awesome game, I;m only going for the plat because I;m having a blast. In actual fact, I only platinum games I love, or are deadset easy(terminator salvation, rented it one weekend, and my friend and I played on hard. thats all thats required for that plat anyways, rofl)

Oh man, I feel for you. There have been a few other instances of developers changing an achievements (trophies too probably, sorry I don't keep up with them) requirements after people struggled and managed to get it done the hard way. Halo Wars originally had the General rank set to 3,200,000 XP IIRC, then it got changed to 960,000! Marathon in Trials HD is well known, it was originally near impossible for 99.9% of players, they then changed it to mostly medium difficulty tracks. Still challenging, but possible for those who put in a bit of effort.

Moving on, does anyone here own Gotham City Impostors on PC? It's a top game, but everyone seems to stick to Team Deathmatch. I have got the occasional Fumigation game (and thus have my 5 map wins) but Psyche Warfare is a ghost town. I only need 3 map wins then I am basically done with the game, so it's quite frustrating. Anyway, if anyone wants to try to get some Psyche Warfare games going, let me know.

And you should definitely get PvZ. Euro PSBlog was checking if anything was possible for a sale recently iirc. At least your platinum will come a little sooner than for some of us here lol
 
FINALLY got the annoying lollipop chainsaw trophies I've been struggling with:
-leapfrog girl
-I swear I did it by mistake
-sparkle hunting master
-gunn struck
-go medal racer go

I actually bent one of my fingernails backward on that last one. :(

Then, oddly enough, my trophies for rock of ages somehow got reset. I unlocked the demo and it gave me a handful immediately. Then when I played last night it was at 0% and suddenly gave me the very first one. Wtf?

At least I got a flawless victory on accident right after that. AI ball was sitting in front of my door jumping up and down on it's first roll. Couldn't hit it with the catapult shot so I left it alone.

Would have thought they'd just adjust the % rate for 3 Diamonds showing up, but any 3?
I recall that version doesn't even have the 40 Waves in Survival trophy right? Now there's nothing hard in it I'd assume...the grinding for all Zen Garden stuff and all might still be detractors for many though.

What date was the patch? Every Platinum before that point should have a special stamp on it or something.

Yesterday I believe. The 40 wave trophy is still in though.
 
Well, according to my friend, that JSR trophy is even harder than what it seems...apparently, if a cop latchs onto you, going back to the garage and restarting the level doesn't work since the game updates trophy progress everytime you go back to the garage. So yeah, you need to quit the to the dashboard/XMB.

And he wasn't the one who decided the trophies requirements, that was decided by someone in Sega Japan, he only did the artwork.

Also the icon for the Platinum trophy is Professor K.

I feel like my last 4-5 trophies in Just Cause 2 are going to take forever. (finding all cars, i'm at like 85 of 106 or whatever it is, getting from 55.5% complete to 75%, and like 30 more races).

I don't try to platinum every game I play, but when I'm so close, I like to go for it.

The 40 wave trophy is still there as Steve mentioned

Problem is by wave 30+, the VITA is chugging frame fumes, and it almost becomes a fucking slide show
It's fucking horrible with touch controls, I just used the analog stick with buttons, got to wave 49 and said "fuck that, why am I continuing?"

Vehicles is among the most difficult because a lot of military vehicles are location-specific. They may spawn at a base guaranteed, but if you've conquered the base no more vehicles spawn and you've got to encounter them via alert level. Weird vehicles like boats are area specific, so one village will have 3 types of boats randomly spawn while the adjacent village has another 2 unique boats.

Percentage comes pretty easy as the other collection and completion trophies (like race challenges) contribute toward it. Try and enjoy the race challenges and focus on collecting the drops and upgrades as you travel from location to location. Don't forget to complete random villages you discover, either.

A tip for 2 & 3-star plane races: fully upgrade the Rowlinson K22 helicopter from the black market and laugh at the proposed difficulty. You can use this helicopter to complete the free-fall and grappling hook parachute swinging challenges as well.
 
Yeah, I figured vehicles would come down the to toughest (when it comes down to the last 20 I need to get in), the others are just play time.

I still need to beat God of War III on Titan and checked PS3Trophies for any random tips. I can handle GoW's difficulty, I was mostly looking out of curiosity. Apparently there are all sorts of ways to glitch a bootleg New Game+ on any difficulty which results in earning maxed weapons from the start, infinite health and magic until the Labyrinth, and various ways to skip multiple portions of the game including getting the Bow of Apollo from Peirithous and using Nemesis Whip to fix the bridge in Upper Gardens and skip the entire Aphrodite Chamber, Tartarus and Cronos sections. However, this post notes there is already a faster method to skip those sections without needing the Nemesis Whip. I had no idea there was any sort of sequence breaking possible in GoWIII, making a speedrun all the more intriguing. I don't plan to implement the New Game+ glitch; I have no doubt I can beat Titan legitimately. Sequence-breaking it, though? Now, I'm motivated!
 
Would be interesting if you could get around that, most annoying part of the game. Some areas that took multiple tries for me on titan, but I got it done in decent time.
 
Jesus, I hate when you get Platinum in a game say GOW III then later there's ways to make it more tolerable =/
