The nukes scattered around the landscape in the intro already gave it away quite some time ago.

I guess I suspected it was nuclear war, I just meant I never associated "Mushroom War" with the idea of a mushroom cloud until those images were posted. Probably because it doesn't really warrant much thought.

Just finally saw the the finale of season 4. Goddamn that came out of nowhere. Nothing effed up or terrible. Just a calm, serene scene in a gorgeous landscape with Finn and his robotic arm playing the flute, and a Jake, the real dog, lulz. I got a Zelda vibe for some strange reason. =\

What was the deal that scene, anyway? I'm a little new to the backstory. Was there a purpose?

Judging from these pics I'm guessing that these first few episodes will be filled with darkness

Yes, this will do quite well

That was like the first thing that came to mind when mixing the words "mushroom" and "war"

The fanart is good but I'm not a fan of Lich-Billy. The Lich doesn't look nearly as fearsome as his normal, cloaked appearance. Much more cartoony and less scary.

There is going to be a showing of a bunch of Adventure Time episodes and episodes from other CN shows on the big screen this Saturday in Amsterdam at the KLIK! Animation festival.

Adventure Time with Cartoon Network

Saturday November 10, 19h30, EYE Cinema 1 // Get tickets

In the past few years, channel Cartoon Network produced some great series that deserve to be enjoyed in the privacy of your own home as well as with a rowdy crowd projected on a big screen. The show that kicks off and sounds off the program is recent algabreic hit Adventure Time, about Finn (the last human boy alive) and his best friend Jake (a magical shape changing dog) who fight evil in the post apocalyptic land of Ooo. They are being accompanied by other dynamic duos like Mordecai and Rigby from the bizarro Regular Show, Gumball and Darwin from the super-stylized The Amazing World of Gumball and Flapjack and Cap’n K’nuckles from the supremely silly The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. Unique humor, a sense of wonder and a fabulous feel-good vibe come together to form one heartwarming program that makes you want to hug your fellow film lovers and get right onto an awesome adventure with them.

Adventure Time's creative director Nate Cash will be present for a Q&A at the end of the program, so get ready to fire off all your questions!

NEAT! Thinking about going but since I live in practically the other side of the country...

Any idea when the season DVD comes out in the UK? Literally can't find any news on it.

Are CN UK years behind on episodes or something?

Just found out that Adventure Time creative director Nate Cash is giving a presentation tonight at KLIK! Film Festival. I probably won't go there.

Presentation Time with Nate Cash

Friday November 9, 20h00, EYE Cinema 4 // Get tickets

Algebraic! Adventure Time’s creative director Nate Cash is coming to increase KLIK!’s level of awesomeness! He’ll tell you all about his magical work on Adventure Time and other awesome shows like SpongeBob Squarepants, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends and The Simpsons. What is it like to spend your days at Cartoon Network? How does Nate work, storyboarding and writing for the next Adventure Time episode to hit the TV screen? What did he learn in all these years of doing TV animation? We're sure you have even more questions for Nate, which he'll be happy to answer extensively.

And psst, he might just be willing to give some feedback on your portfolio while you buy him a drink afterwards...

If they are Dutch, upright and breathing they are more racist than your favorite player
General question, anybody annoyed that they changed the VO direction on LSP? I know the voice is by the same person, but the delivery was much better in season one.

Also, did we find out what was the episode they thought they would never make? The ice king and Marceline episode was pretty nuts

Disagree, I like the newer versions more. It's got a melody to it.

LSP is voiced by Pendleton Ward, right? I don't think I've paid enough attention to notice a difference.

Just got back from this. Was pretty awesome and much more people showed up then I expected. Too bad about the technical problems such as the audio/video quality of "What was missing?" and the hilariously satanic sounding Flapjack-episode.
