ALL NEW ALL DIFFERENT MILES MORALES!

Fantastic issue and really feels like a back to basics Spider-Man story. Miles really is taking Peter's place as the street level Spidey and it's great. Having his
mom
adds a great dynamic and overall the supporting cast is strong.

Not to mention he's an Avenger and he gets his chance to showcase just how formidable he can be. Miles is also a much more defensive Spidey in combat and that's played up here.

I feel like the last few years had USM completely hamstrung by the constant stream of events and shakeups and other BS going on in the Ultimate universe. So I'm reasonably hopeful that Bendis can get things back on track with a more open field.

...reasonably hopeful.

Well sadly Miles-man is part of the Avengers which isn't being written by Bendis, so expect some bizarre continuity going on as he proceeds to completely ignore that book.

Contest of Champions continues to be the best book you're not reading this week.

Vision continues to be the best book y'all probably are.

Amazing Spider Man, Captain America: Sam Wilson, Invincible Iron Man and Spider Man are all solid this week. Good art on those last two.

Uncanny Xmen and Uncanny Avengers are both inexplicably boring. Probably my last week on both of these. Guardians of infinity is definitely getting dropped- the cast does nothing and the groot/thing backup story was just abysmal.

Dr. Strange has solid art and an..."interesting" premise but who knows where they're going with this drastic reinvention of the character.

Marvel appears to have launched another ship that will start a hundred thousand fanboy arguments with "Worst Xman Ever"- surprise of the week with that book, totally fucks marvel continuity six ways to sunday.

So when currebt time line Wolverine died most assumed he would come back.

With Old Man Logan and New Wolverine are people still thinking this or have people started thinking this will be more perm?

Cool.

I kinda stopped following when Wolvy died.

I know many dont like him as much anymore but I still love the asshole always hope for a return of the dps version instead of the lame tank.

I really like how... gangly Miles looks in costume. Long limbs, thin body, not quite mature physically. Even out of costume he has very teenage proportions, which isn't something artists can usually capture well - it's either baby, child, or adult. Very impressed there.

And yeah holy shit Vision is so good.

Logan needs to stay gone for a while.

Yes,
1-shotting Black Heart
is definitely street level.

To be fair, Peter was already pushing what it means to be street-level considering how powerful he actually is.

Good evening, how is life? You're missing out on SSS rank excellence with OML. Dude is on his "the bride" level revenge.

Spidey !

Miles is surprisingly good at combat. Does his experience pre universes merging count and does he have the memories from everything he went through? Sara came through with excellent art as usual.

Nova 4

Solid issue but Nova needs to tell his teammates what's going on. He's a reckless hot head that needs a mentor quickly. Art is dope as usual.

Really?

Life is good, weekends from work are always positive lol

I own the original OML series but didnt love it so that was why I didnt try now.

If its good I may need to rethink it.

The first issue of the new book was really good.
if he was a terrible character, id agree, but he isnt, so i cant.

To me it felt like both Wolverine and Hulk and particular need new blood for a while given the direction. Wolverine has been gone for a while, but I'm enjoying the new books now and want to see where they go.

*Completely feigns ignorance on what "really?" refers to as it's 20 degrees outside*

This series is a slightly happier version of the OG version of OML. There's more violence here but it's justified violence, kinda sorta in an "authority" kind of way. <--- See what I did there? This might be a miniseries as I'd love to know how Marvel plans on tying this series into the main universe especially extraordinary x-men. The sole happiness is knowing Logan is out to prevent whatever happened in the original series.

Ganke is Bendis' worst character.

You entitled to your opinions and I respec them of course but.... Ganke is awesome for a few reasons. Made out with
Gwen
. Helped Miles figure out his purpose as the great wingman he is. He's great with the excuses and timely with the redirects as a broski should be. What's their not like about Ganke? Ganke is the front runner for wingman of the year.

Vision #4, man this comic is nuts. This wouldn't feel out of place on the MAX imprint and it's mainline book. Crazy.

the hulk has had nothing but new blood for a while now. there have been a ton of hulks that have gotten spotlight, bruce himself has had many a metamorphosis. oml is a good idea, but hes treading on old vengeful wolverine, and thats pretty damn old. i liked the remorseful line they were walking with logan before he died, and would love to see that character come back.

Maybe it's because the setting is Ireland, but the latest issue don't even attempt to hide that the series is suppose to be a Hellblazer clone. Her whole speech about Irish culture, history, and current events reads like something out of Constantine's mouth.

I think it's
Wanda.
But that could be what they want us to think.

I don't know...

Okay...

Are you one of those posters playing a character?

Edit: Ohhh, you're talking about Scarlet Witch? My bad.

All of the alt continuties were destroyed leading into secret wars, then restarted from zero with the 'prime' continuity.

THAT character claimed to have been responsible for "marvel time", aware of alternate worlds, and had been rewriting events for "a long time now."

Alternate earth or not, That's a hell of a monkey wrench.

The only way it works is if we assume that the story doesn't exist in *any* continuity and is totally invalid- which marvel has never actually done.

a character in a joke series.

its like getting flustered about a character claiming omnipotence in a marvel adventures book.

Nextwave was a joke series, until it wasn't. Rarely is anything completely, totally outside of continuity. Possibly its own little sandbox, but rarely "ignore this."

self contained then, but nothing continuity ruining. i really dont see a big deal being made out of this

Hmm thanks Furyous. I think ill pick up an issue next time I head to the model shop and give it a shot.

I will say I agree with liking the Remoresful Wolvy before Death over Revenge Wolvy as weve had that for YEARS.

That said a good Logan book I will always give a shot regardless of his mood.
