God that's stupid. I wonder if I took my computer back home to Canada and redeemed the key, whether I could resume the download back here in Japan? I don't know anyone in Canada without a ridiculously small data cap.

It was annoying last week when I was in Canada to search for Binary Domain and Resident Evil 5 on Steam and see them both there. Being blocked from something or redirected based on geographical IP has always been one of the absolutely most annoying things to me on the Internet.

I've seen people use proxies to redeem game codes without problem but I know that buying with a proxy has led to the games being removed.

Usually keys aren't region restricted but there are some rare cases (Mafia 2 on Amazon afaik and Indian copies of L4D or some shit). It's best to ask again when Tony/Amazon Video Gamer is around.

You should try the key again. Sometimes, when we sell a ton of Steam keys, it seems as if their authentication servers have issues because I always get this question. It is usually immediately followed up by "I tried a couple more times and it finally worked".

If you can't get it to work at all CS will give you a new key. I don't think this is the case though. Let me know what your resolution ends up being.

The solution was pretty weird. Key wouldn't work until I logged into Steam on the official homepage and activated this computer for Steam guard (even though I was already logged into the client). Then suddenly it worked.

Also: Any news on Ubisoft participating this sale?

I am very close to pulling the trigger on the Paradox pack. I know all of them will work with Steam - but are the Steam keys Steamplay? I'm taking my MBA with me to school (which has a pretty small SSD, so I'd rather not have to partition the drive to set up boot camp if I can run the games - which aren't graphics card intensive anyways - in OSX) so I'd like to take them with me if possible.

So... if someone's bought it - which (if any) would be mac compatible?

You have to use an EA account to verify otherwise it doesn't require Origin to run.

Saboteur not in a bundle, I don't want the rest of the games whatsoever (also I already have The ultimate box, Mirrors edge, Merc 2, and bulletstorm was a bad game with a funny script)

Plants vs zombies, Command and conquer 4, alice madness returns, binary domain, (I would also say bf3+premium but I just fucking bought that like a week ago ;_; ), fall of the samurai, renegade ops not in a pack except by itself, red armageddon not in pack (already own darksiders, and metro 2033)

That total war pack is a good deal...but I already own everything in it except the shogun 2 expac.

I get why but it really sucks that you guys don't support paypal. I'm having some technical issues and won't be able to use my credit card for the next couple of weeks. Paypal taking the money directly out of my bank account is the best thing ever (or the worst...depending how you see it lol).

One thing to keep in mind about Mercenaries 2:

I enjoyed the game, but EA shut down the MP servers. Factor that into your purchase.
