American Idol: Season 4

Air time during the auditions can make a below average singer/performer last longer (ie. Janay, Mikalah, Scott, and etc.). But Nadia Turner proved that you can still make a name for yourself and go far even without a lot of airtime in auditions. She was a complete unknown going into the final 24. But she took chances and made her own style very apparent. The other unknowns who decided to play it safe deserved to be voted out. Life isn't fair. You play with the cards you're dealt with. If you don't understand when you need to make a big impression, then you're not going to get far. [/rant]

Lindsey is one of them. She's gotten by on her good looks and somewhat unique voice, but she keeps putting up blah performance after blah performance. You've already forgotten the song after she just sung it. She definitely should get the boot tonight.

Fran Drescher needs to get the boot as well. She's warn out her welcome and her past 3-4 performances have been really sub-par. Who is actually voting for her? Tell them to watch the Nanny reruns instead.

Started with the obligatory recap of yesterday's show. Then they brought all 12 on stage where they sang some song they all recorded for a benefit or something I think.

Afterwards Seacrest does his usual drawn out schtick of telling each one who's safe or who was in the bottom 3 of votes. The bottom 3 were Lindsay, Mikalah and Jessica. Jessica made it to next week where it then came down to Lindsay and Mikalah. Lindsay gets the boot and then sings her boring version of knock on wood again.

But I'm guessing, recaps, banters, mundane questions, picking out the lowest 3, then lowest 2, and finally the loser, plus plenty of commercials.
 
I'm 2-0. I KNEW Lindsay would be gone. :)

Next up: Jessica (if she doesn't manage to do something to make herself memorable).
 
It was obvious that Lindsey would be voted out, her performance was crap.

From the men, I think that Bo and especially anwar could go very far. Anwars voice is perfect, its really really good. The person who really impressed me was Scott, I thought he was excellent. The song was great and his voice is very good, but he has no personality. Constantine is good, but not as good a Bo

From the women, Nadia will be a finalist, she is amazing, every performance of hers is excellent. I cant believe Randy and Paula didnt like Carrie, I though she was excellent and she can make it through to the end. Mikalahs boobs are carrying her through at the moment, I hope she goes out, she is awful.

My prediction is that the last four will be Bo, Anwar, Carrie and Nadia. next to go will be Jessica or Nikko.
 
Carrie is boring, Bo does nothing for me, Anwar has done nothing interesting and there hasn't been an ounce of personality from Scott.

To tell you the truth, Nadia is the only one that really has consistently impressed me. So, rooting for her, but looking forward to seeing the rest crash and burn.

It wouldn't shock me to see the first four ppl eliminated be girls. (Mikalah, Jessica, then Carrie or Vonzell)

I think Mikalah is in a hole she can't dig out of. I can't imagine her winning people over after being so annoying and performing bad.

and it might actually make me vote. i never vote now because i know whoever i like will be voted for. but i got to vote to kick someone i hate....oh yes, i would vote

Yeah, Scott has zero personality. If it wasn't for the airtime he got in the auditions, he would have been gone long ago.

My preferred top picks are:
1. Nadia Turner (This girl is going to get a record contract, REGARDLESS. She's actually too good for this competition.)
2. Anwar (He has the best control of his voice, period. He just needs to turn up the juice a bit.)
3. Vonzel (IMO, she still hasn't topped her originally audition performance, but if and when she does...DAMN!)

The likely top pics:
1. Anthony Aiken (Clay Aiken fans will seek their revenge and make him #1)
2. Carrie (She's an innocent looking country blond. She could lose her voice and still make the finals...)
3. Constantine/Bo (I would have mentioned Scott, but I think his boring personality will begin to turn-off even his die-hard fans.)


Top Bottom Feeders
1. Mikalah Drescher (She should have been out of this competition over a week ago. After coming out of the auditions flying high, she literally crashed and burned (and aged 40 years) in the semi-finals.
2. Jessica (With Carrie around, Jessica is just the "other" blond. She needs to come out with a bang to save her self.
3. Anthony Aiken/Scott - These guys are getting by purely from rapid fans they garnered from the auditions. Talent, performance, and personality-wise, both of these guys should have been kicked out weeks ago.

Best single night of performances in an Idol show for me, not including that poser Constantine. He fucked up "I think I love you" The dude from Scream 2 did a better job. Someone needs to out this dude for the fake he is.

Edit: Oh forgot aboot the Barbara clone. She is totally outclassed. DSL or not.
 
Constantine was awful....and you know, Nadia totally ruined Time after Time. Jumping around and singing a sped up version of that song was completely off, like playing a record on the wrong speed. And Mikalah put out her usual crappy performance. The two blondes were probably the best of the night, followed by Bo. The rest were all just kind of average I thought. Mikalah should finally get the axe....and Constantine should be next in line, but all the idiot chick voters will probably keep him out of the bottom two.
 
Looks like you get to see it again tonight. They gave out wrong numbers for three of the contestants.

Looks like someone from Fox is going to be appearing in another reality show.

I thought the show was good ... but my girl Nadia took a few steps back. I thought the Frohawk was awesome, but the song choice was shit.

I can't rate Anwar because as soon as i heard R. Kelly, i knew which song it was going to be, and thanks to being in my high school band, and thus having to be present whenever we had practice for a particular spring concert, and having to hear this one mofo rehearse the damn song EVERY TIME OVER AND OVER...I have a LIFETIME hate card for this song. I muted the sumbitch.
 
Once again, none of the performances really wowed me. I suppose Carrie or Vonzell were the best of the night......the worst IMO were Anthony and Scott. I'd have them in the bottom two this week and wouldn't feel upset at all at either one getting the boot. Constantine I'd have third lowest, I wasn't impressed with his "somber" turn. He just comes across as hokey to me in whatever he sings. Judges fell for it, I didn't. Anwar was all over the map in his notes. Nadia bounced back from her absolute massacre of Time After Time last week.

Yeah, I was surprised that anthony wasn't in the bottom three. The girls are getting axed left and right, a guy has gots ta go next week. It better be Anthony and his pure vanilla schtick.

Report: ‘Idol’ finalist
has criminal record


Scott Savol, one of the remaining nine “American Idol” contestants, was once arrested for felony domestic violence, according to TheSmokingGun.com.

The Smoking Gun web site said Savol was arrested after roughing up his infant son's mother in February 2001.

There is no word from “Idol” representatives whether the incident will hurt Savol’s future in the competition. “Idol” dumped a finalist in 2003 for having a criminal record. It's not known whether “Idol” executives knew about Savol's previous record.

Anyone ever find out what happened to Vazquez? I'm almost positive he got a record deal. I know that's been the rumor ever since but now I believe it's true.
 
I thought that Anthony should have gone out and not Jessica. She didnt pick a good song but she has a great voice.

I think that the top five will be Bo, Carrie, Nadia, Vonzel and Constantine. Scotts singing is good but he has no personality, Anthony is a lucky shit and should have gone out way before the final twelve, Anwar can only do that final note well and Nikko is showing that he's capable,. but the five I mentioned are better. I think that Carrie will win it this season and Bo will be runner up.

You said Constantine. I really wish he would go. I see very little talent growth, and I wonder how he's made it thus far most of the time.

I got this off of another forum, so take it for what it is worth.


I guess he had previously signed with some label, and actually made a CD years ago. That label was thinking about re-releasing the CD and trying to make a buck. Instead of AI trying to pay this label off, or block it .. they just decided to let him go.

I guess Mario is looking into suing AI now ... so that's why you don't hear much about it.
