Amiibo Thread 5 | Because we didn't preorder thread 4

Wow still no preorders up for wave 4??? It seems that Nintendo will go at full with the Super Mario line + Mario Party 10 hype first before wave 4 wich it was announced for spring anyways... But still, me want Ness and Pac-Man pretty bad :c

Honestly, maybe they're actually playing this one smart.

Release game-specific lines one at a time.

The Amiibos for Mario Party 10 may stir up some interest in Mario Party 10. Once the initial shipment is complete, things can shift back to Smash Line Wave 4.

That said, I'm still curious as to what's happening with preorders since Wave 4 is slated for April.
 
Hey guys, it's snowing pretty hard here in NYC right now, I wonder if Nintendo World will be selling rare amiibos today.
 
Drove by a best buy this morning and thought I'd stop and see if they had little Mac. Nope. But they did have lots of mega man, diddy, sheik, and donkey kong.
 
off topic but honestly it isn't worth an entire new thread, my smash bros OST just came and the entire album is in Japanese when you put it in the computer... would it have killed them to take like 5 minutes to translate the titles for the songs?

I've been hearing that happening to quite a few people.

They're grabbing the CD meta data from the Japanese db entry.
They just need to pick from the US source.

EDIT: I said "they're" as this was talked about in the other Smash CD thread.

Mine was 50/50 using iTunes on a Mac. When I put in the Red disc, it came back from their music database with English names and title. However when I put in the Blue disc, that gave me a choice of an English or Japanese name. Very strange.

im using windows media player, do you know how to do that there?


edit: ok itunes gave me the option to have it in english. anyone know how to rip CDs? i don't want to have to keep putting it in my computer to listen to them or is that a no no here? i mean its not piracy but i know how the mods can be around here.

I got both discs in English, no Japanese option with iTunes.
 
Went to TRU here in San Antonio today and picked up Sonic and Mega Man. Luckily TRU has a buy one and get 40% on the amiibos right now. So I saved a few dollars, sweeeet. I remember I only paid $10 for the Marth amiibo and $10 each on Peach, Donkey Kong and Yoshi. I only have 11 amiibos so far, sigh.
 
These probably have just begun to be easier to find for some of you, because it seemed like a few stores just got some shipment in, but I am so happy to have these as part of my amiibo collection :) Mega Man and Sonic both look so rad

Cool! I jut went for it; I'm finally getting my Mega Man! Either they can't ship Fox to PA, or they're sold out of him, though.

That page shows up when they are out of stock, but Fox seems to be fairly regular for them.
 
If anyone in the US needs a Fox, I have one that is still boxed and the character is untouched. There's a crease in the cardboard from shipping, but it's fine otherwise.

I also have a Sheik in box that is near mint condition.

Let me know if you want either one.

$22 for Fox

I'd basically break even after shipping, but that's fine. Lower 48 only.

I f**** hate scalpers!!!!!! Here in Mexico there's a person selling Shulk for $999 pesos, that's around 65 freaking dollars and another 20 for "express shipping"... OH AND THAT SCUM ALREADY SOLD 9!! God damn it why!?

Hope this is a good sign that maybe wave 4 will not be a nightmare to get as wave 3 and that maybe everyone will get Robin, Lucina and Ness without too much trouble... Pls Nintendo.

It's stuff like that that makes me believe it is Nintendo not knowing how popular some characters are, not them undersupplying on purpose to sell better. Like there have been several advertisement things about amiibo that are completely and fully sold out.
 
Maybe Gaf can answer this; my Toon Link Amiibo absolutely destroys all my other Amiibos. I set 6 of them to fight each other and Toon Link has won all but one battle. He's not the highest level Amiibo, three higher levels, and I didn't spend any extra time fighting against him. Anybody else experience this with their Amiibos? Is one specific Amiibo beating all your other Ammibis?

So I just got an email from Entertainment Earth about my pre-order for King Dedede (that I had already forgotten about) stating that my order is cancelled because they were notified from the manufacturer that they have discontinued production of this item at this point of time. So Entertainment Earth, is my Little Mac order still valid?

Entertainment Earth continues to be The Worst. Sorry everybody :(
 
I still have outstanding Entertainment Earth pre-orders for Little Mac, Sonic, and Sheik.

I'm guessing those will be the next cancellations.

Oh boy. I had canceled my order a few days ago from them, after hearing how Entertainment Earth usually puts up stocks of items they don't actually have. I guess they're finally giving out the cancel emails. Was so hopping I'd get a Pit from them to. :(
 
Someone mentioned that if a Pokémon series of Amiibo were to be released, 1 out of 1000 should be shiny.
Can you imagine the bloodbath that would be? I don't even want to imagine.
