My Mac order from Entertainment Earth is still pending. Keepin the dream alive, for at least another night.

What forums is that? Just giving gaffers a chance to get a Shiek if they don't have her yet else I'll just return em.

It's a Pokemon forum.

I'm not saying anything about you offering it; just that with you, them, and me, that's three Lucina avatars offering people an extra Sheik at cost+shipping. It was just funny to me when I noticed. :p

My import order came in today. All in perfectly condition. Not sure if I should open them or not.

Lol I see, we Lucina avatared Amiibo Hunters who are generous to offer Shiek are a rare bunch!

That's like $100 worth of amiibo there, as a collector I couldn't do it. But really, just depends on if you care about that. If not guess opening makes more sense.

Where are those extra MM N3DS coming from?

Abandoned pre-orders? Returns from people so insulated from online discussion that they didn't realize how much they could have scalped it for? Some crazy businessperson liked the sound of this bundle and set some aside to offer it?

Any GAFfers near Springfield Missouri who are wanting Little Mac may have some luck if they go to Best Buy tomorrow, apparently some are on the truck coming in, and may be on the shelves by tomorrow, if not by Saturday.

I was intending to call the Best Buy in Springfield Illinois, which is also expecting some...but unknown as to how many and apparently word is already out on that one because he asked if I was calling for the Little Mac amiibo before I told him what I was looking for...

Anyone in the Bloomington/Normal IL area, even though the Best Buy here says they aren't getting any, be on the lookout for me...I probably won't be able to check there tomorrow.

So have Meta and Rosalina have had any international restock for MSRP since January?

I don't even care what country they're from, and I don't care how much shipping is. I would love to get in on those 2.

I finally set up my shelves for my Amiibo. I think it turned out pretty nice.

I also moved the rest of my junk on this shelf.

Finally got my refund for the screwed Falcon auction. Back to the Falcon search; sadly I don't have a Best Buy in range to check for shipments.

Australia got Rosalina and New Zealand got both two weeks back. They're gone at the moment though.

Even if they did come back in stock it's like $35 US with shipping to buy them at MSRP. Entering scalper prices at that level.

i am legitimately beginning to wonder if there will even be US preorders for the next wave...

I'm still of the mind they are really preparing, for once, this wave, and will put them up once the Mario Party line releases.

Especially given international companies are limiting pre-orders 1 per-household/account

im telling you, its to make amiibos just as frustrating as wave 3, retail exclusives for everyone with only like 4 being available for everyone(which won't really matter cause at the end the only winner is eBay)

Yeah, wave 4 will be the first wave that Nintendo manufactured post Amiibo-sales mania. Both Nintendo and retailers are probably working out how they can all do better as they finish the smash series out, and maybe Nintendo will increase their production volume since now they have the first couple of waves to set a precedent.

That is if NOA was smart. They are not.

America by far got the largest fraction of amiibos, and the scarcity problem isn't limited to America.

And the fact remains that preorders haven't started yet. Already we can see wave 4 isn't more of the same. How different it will be is purely speculation, but no retailer has done preorders, which tells me Nintendo is being careful in deciding how many are made and where they go.

Well its has generally been easier to get Pit, Captain Falcon, Villager, Wii Fit girl, Marth and Fox in Europe than North America. Although I agree where wasn't enough stock anywhere. In America is was not just "not enough stock" but mostly "we never receive a god damned one".

The weekend that the Canadian retailer started the discontinuation rumor, I saw two villagers and 9 wii fit trainers. 4 of those were at a Walmart who only had those, Mario and pikachu. The rest were at targets. That was what 4 weeks after Amiibo launched? I remember looking at dozens and dozens of foxes that weekend too, trying to find a perfect paint job. He was just as common as Peach and Link.

Iwata has talked about finding a price point on these that allow sales on the simpler amiibo to make up their losses on the more complex ones. A lot of the rare amiibo seem to be the more complex ones, so perhaps they were costly enough to make that Nintendo had to limit their losses by producing less.

I still can't get over that I passed over a Villager in LATE December, but I even took a picture of it to remind myself was dipshit 2 months later

you saw a villager in late december and didn't buy it? thats pretty stupid, even if you didn't actually want it you could've traded it for like 2-3 amiibos that you want, its that valuable.

I'm fine with that if it means walking into a store and seeing a whole wall of Lucina.

Feel like Nintendo is hearing us that these things are impossible to find.

Hoping they do well to stock the big online retailers and the big online retailers stick to 1 per customer.

Random ToysRUs near Downtown Houston.

Damn, the one store I didn't go to the other day was TRU. I hit up the Best Buys in search of Mac, with no luck, but bypassed TRU since their stock has been so poor lately. I guess I really don't need a D3 now, but would have probably still picked up one for tradebait or something. But I'm in Ohio, so maybe they're making their way east... I dunno.

So which is everyone's favorite amiibo so far?

As stated before, I'm in love with my Pit and I think only Ness or Robin could break such a bond

Mega Man is easily the best one. It's the one that most closely resembles the actual Smash model, and the glossy paint gives it a metallic look that fits the character very well. Not to mention no ugly stands whatsoever.

Samus would be second best for similar reasons, though she has clear stands at the bottom of her boots.

Of every released figure, I have to go with Samus, Dedede, and Toon Link. Great paint and detail, great poses.

For wave 4, the ones I want to see the most in person are Charizard and Lucina.
