The right thing to do would be to mass produce 1 amiibo every month. That way there isn't a shortage and anyone who wants one can easily get one in that month.
So I just got home from work and apparently Gold Mario pre-orders were available? How long did those last?
How is Walmarts shipping with Amiibo? Are they going to destory the packaging when shipping my Gold Mario?

They were avaiable twice at an average at a mere 13 minutes, like another user before me mentioned not to bad NoA stantards.

Actually, it was 3 times. The first time was about 8 minutes, 2nd time was less than half of that and the third was about the same as the 2nd.
Sigh.... Was at work and missed the gold Mario preorders...
Silly rabbit, true amiibo collectors don't have jobs...
Wave 1-3 preorders online lasted DAYS. Not sure where this comes from.
Resrtocks don't last long no. So in reality this is the fastest selling Amiibo so far.
We've reached critical mass with these things now.
Yeah thanks for the heads up i edited my previous post, i assumed the 2nd time was just longer.
No prob.Either way, way too short.
I will say, I am worried about wave 3. I have told 2 Gamestops to let me know when the wave 3 preorder opens up, but I'm afraid that it will close before I can get off work.
Not too worried though since you missed wave 3 pre-orders by months![]()
But then who is going to want them? Well I mean obviously some of the fans, but doing that there won't be nearly as many sales nor the amiibo fever there is now. Good for the true fans, bad for the money I would argue, and the overall health of the amiibo market.
Bah, missed out on Gold Mario. Forced to pay $55USD to a scalper. Why have you forsaken me NIntendo!
Secondary market such as foreign or third party seller? No its not the only way, you could buy them direct from the secondary market at a premium or wait for a restock.By buying multiple people are drying up the supply at a susbtantially higher rate leaving a big number customers who wanted the product stranded with nothing.
I was well aware that Rosalina was gonna be rare but i only purchassesd one since thats all i need,i rather another person get the chance of owning it.

I have five gold mario amiibos on preorder using multiple email addresses. If anyone wants one at retail cost, let me know. I won't upcharge you.

Did people here realized that they actually missed the chance to get their hands on Ice Climbers Amiibo?
You could have waited a bit to see if a restock was imminent again but its your money look at the good news at least you wont be paying $100 plus

I'd rather all my amiibo be the US version and I don't plan on spending 100 on a villager.
Restocks aren't a guaranteed thing.
As a matter of fact, I believe only 3 amiibo were legitimately announced as officially discontinued: wii fit, villager and I honestly forgot the other.
With discontinued amiibo being a relevant aspect of consumer purchasing, no wonder people buy in twos.
You can't blame the buyers.
Unless they're scalping. F those guys

2 left. Anyone else want the gold mario amiibo at retail cost? You just pay shipping.
Edit: And you have to live in the US. Sorry, forgot to make that distinction.

By gunpoint.

Well then you would have been robbed, which is basically the same thing as buying one for $55. Seriously, it will probably go up again, you could have a chance of getting one in store, and an even better chance of trading a fellow Gaffer for one.

Sorry folks, all out. Congrats to those who were on their A-game.![]()
