If I'm getting something that's imported, I pretty much refuse to do anything that isn't already shipping form the US/Amazon Fulfillment, or doesn't have tracking. It already takes long enough for imported goods to arrive, and I've had bad experiances with continually being told to just wait longer and see if it comes in with some places, rather than them actually doing anything about it.
Also if anyone snags an extra Captain Falcon, I'll gladly pay a good price for it. I'd rather give money to an amiibro than to some rando on Amazon, and because of the hours I work even if we are getting any in town I doubt I'll make it out to Best Buy to get one.

I saw Sonics at Walmart and GameStop yesterday, so I'm hoping Mega Man'll end in the same boat. There seem to be a fair amount of him floating around and more shipments of him going out, so I'm wondering if it's like Diddy Kong/Toon Link/Shiek. Which I hope is the case, because it means that Nintendo is still doing decent production runs of most of those figures and gives me a bit of hope that at least some of the Wave 4 ones will be available after a bit of time passes if I miss the preorders.

Dead as in if Mega Man was in stock for 24h to me that means the interest is dying.
That's the leading idea. I have noticed King Dedede go down in quantity at the local warehouse even though none of our stores have any in stock. I'm hoping this means that the stock is slowly filtering out.
But, it was pretty much shown that he wasn't really 'in-stock' I thought, and was just the option to get one from another seller. I personally wouldn't take Amazon stock as any kind of indicator. Unless whoever originally said the "dream is dead" shtick was just trying to be cute, I don't see it as a sign that stock is magically exploding off the already too-full shelves...
Well he's available right now anyway, I was just able to get one. Not sure if that was all night or not.
I wouldn't hold out hope, truthfully. Out of about 30 stores there's less than that amount in Dedede. Hoping for more stock to filter in after the port strike has ended but I am not getting my hopes up.

I do know that it has been going in and out of stock from Amazon since last night. It's the reason it is listed as the number 1 seller in amiibo right now.
By the way, I just bought it from Amazon for the MSRP from Amazon. Expected to ship March 6th. Sometimes you have to click other sellers and the Amazon option appears there.

Back from checking stores. Guy at Best Buy was real nice and looked up the SKUs for me. Only thing in the Northern VA area was some Captain Falcons in transit to a place up in Maryland. So there is hope for them. I'm not going out of state and will hope that when I go back on Friday there will be some more around.
Toys R Us had a ton of Megamans and Sonics, so rejoice if you wanted them.

Darn, that's a bummer
The US version of Captain Falcon has been in the 30-40 range for weeks. I just looked at sold listings of US versions of Marth and I'm only seeing 85-120 range. Anything sold for less was European or Japanese.
TRU in Hurst, TX has a bunch of Mega Man and Sonic.
Wow, that's the first pic I've seen of either Sonic or Megaman in the wild here in North Texas. Maybe Sonic and Megaman will be like Toon Link after all!
Best Buy in Irving had nothing of note except for one last Samus, still there as of 5 hours ago.

Nice! I was able to get one of each during gamestop's small ordering windows last week, but it's great seeing any cool amiibo readily available to people of all ages and schedules. I just noticed Megaman's sold listings are only marked up $4-7 from the MSRP at this point, less if I subtracted shipping costs, when they were marked up $20 above MSRP just two weeks ago. Any resellers lost this round.

Managed to get a fox for 15 bucks on ebay. Seller said the amiibo was in perfect condition but that the box is a little scuffed and that anybody that wants to keep it in the box to not purchase from him. I don't care for the packaging, as long as the amiibo is perfectly fine. I'd freaking love a metaknight right now, but i just can't justify spending 40-50 dollars on him. For 30 i might. Why did nintendo have to do store exclusives!!!!

I keep asking this question in hopes if someone doing it, but does no one sell opened Amiibos on the rarer stuff? I want Rosalina and I don't want her to be sealed or whatever; It's going to be played with and not sit on a shelf to gather dust. I look on eBay and Amazon and everything is sealed and meant for adult collectors.
Do you guys think that once the spell dies down that people will start selling open box versions of the rarer ones?
