Whoa, 16.99? what is this gouging?? is that the going price for the plushy amiibo? edit: apparently thats the MSRP :(

Either way, I cannot justify 16.99 + 4.00 shipping on one amiibo, i'll just go to target day of

Also my Best Buy was swing and a miss, only 2 Fox and 1 greninja :(

Did you ask customer service if they had any amiibos hidden in the back, that's how I got Dark Pit, and their last Marth at my store?

Awesome! Still hoping for a Best Buy to save more money, but nice to have them secured! Also, Chibi Robo+the game just arrived from Best Buy, so hooray!

That's absurd. Last I thought we heard the green yarn was a timed exclusive like Mario Party 10. It's almost enough to make me want to cancel my blue and pink Walmart preorders and my Best Buy preorder for the a la carte game, say F*ck the anniversary pins and not support Yoshi and his stupid games anyway.

Just when I thought Nintendo revitalized my love for amiibo with the restocks, they negate the feelings with this bullcrap. I definitely won't be buying the giant yarn Yoshi. I guess I really am done after Smash (until Star Fox or Zelda).

They could import. And at least for the time being the green yoshi is tied with the game in USA.

I imported the three Yoshi's a while back from Japan. Cute figures. I'll be getting the game digitally in my Wii U once I pay off my debts. =p

That's one possibility but I'm an NA/NIB collector. Sucks sometimes. Skylanders crossovers can suck it too, being bundle exclusive. I won't support Nintendo's or Activision's shenanigans.

Sheeeeeeit, I should check this thread more often. I went into Best Buy today to buy Persona 4 Dancing and while at the checkout I saw some old lady buying like 8 amiibos, and 2 of them were Marths. I said "Ohhhhh shiiiiittttttt" and asked the associate if there were anymore in the back (the amiibo display was barren) and they brought one out. Did not expect that at all, now I just need Ike and Robin (and Roy whenever he comes out I guess) to complete my FE collection.

Best Buy had nothing outside of the super common junk yesterday, then I walk in this morning and it was glorious. There were at least 8 I've never actually seen in person. Unfortunately I'm mega broke right now, so all I got was Captain Falcon. Still, it gives hope I can pick some of these up later down the line at a more reasonable price.

Nabbed Chibi-Robo & the amiibo a while ago. No actual box for him, but still rather nice looking & a decent size as well. Kind of hope he can be used outside of his game & Super Mario Maker.

Still waiting for TRU to put Bowser Jr. up.

Kind of funny how Chibi Robo categorizes amiibo scanned. It gives them a rarity rank and everything. Something like Lil Mac, ROB, G&W, Duck Hunt, and Squid are ranked ridiculously rare. Stuff like Lucina, Shulk, Marth, Robin, and Palutena are ranked somewhere like Mega Rare or Rare. Samus, Fox, C.Falcon are all ranked uncommon I think. I forget some of the others since I just scanned 20 amiibo. I'll scan more tomorrow since you can only do 20 a day for some reason.

Local Best Buy just had Splatoon 3-packs and Boy/Girl Inklings.

Nothing else of note though.

Also, snagged a Pink Yoshi from target.com. Hopefully i'll be able to get a Blue one soon, as that's the one I REALY want.

Yeah series 2 was supposed to come out in Sept. for Japan but got delayed. I'm not expecting us to get them until December, maybe early Jan.

And Zelda and Peach and I think Luigi are "rare" while Villager is "uncommon" (it's actually just for the in-game rarity for the slot machine).

Finally finished scanning all my amiibo into Chibi-Robo. 3rd party characters just give you 100 coins. You can only scan 20 amiibo per day to get coins, meaning you can get 2,000 per day if you want to deal with the tedious task of scanning 20 amiibo. However, you can continue scanning amiibo to unlock figures.

So from what I've scanned of my 40+ amiibo:

Uncommon:
- Link (I would guess Toon Link counts as well)
- Mario (8-bit & Dr. Mario still gave me 100 coins each, but I assume also counts as Mario)
- Yoshi (I will assume Wool Yoshi next week will be the same)

- Captain Falcon

Rare:
- Zelda
- Luigi
- Bowser
- Peach (LOLWUT)
- Rosalina
- Samus (guessing Zero Suit Samus counts as well)

I doubt it's based off of real world rarity at all but instead that's what the devs decided should b the required level for you to unlock those figures. You need to have a level 2 Chibi-Robo amiibo to get uncommon stuff, level 3 for rare etc.

Aaaah, gotcha. It's a bit of a pain having to scan the Chibi-Robo amiibo so many times to access the capsue machine, save your score (which I forgot to do after the 3rd stage).

I do like how you start off as wooden Chibi-Robo, makes me want to level up to see what other forms/colors he'll take.

Talk to Telly to get any experience from levels where you forgot to scan the amiibo. He can hold up to 200,00 EXP so you can play on the go without being forced to take your amiibo with you.

Level 2 is
his regular look
and level 3 is
bronze

Theres currently the Animal Crossing amiibo cards, but has there been any info on the current Smash Bros/Mario lines of figures getting card versions soon?

I've got about +/-30 amiibo right now, maybe about 10 that are rare or close to it. I want to individually display my amiibo, and protect them from dust with those HORI cases, but at $8/per case, thats $300 just to do so. A tad much for me.

Perhaps I'll just protect/display the rare ones, and re-collect the rest in card form, and resell the common figures I have currently have. Would free some drawer space, too.

Oh, okay....so....the poses you unlock from scanning amiibo in Chibi-Robo are NOT the actual poses of said amiibo. I got Fox & Kirby "poses" & they were nothing like the actual poses on the amiibo. At least the Olimar one makes sense since it has those little robots following you similar to the Pikmin.

....got Mario & okay, it kind of looks like his pose of his fist up in the air as he jumps. Though that Fox one, I wouldn't have known unless I was told. Maybe someone will compile the poses & what they're suppose to look like on the actual character.

I flipped my shit. Also bought a friend 6 amiibos he needed to complete his collection, and 5 doubles for myself so I can open them and enjoy them. What an awesome fucking day. Thank you Tinley Park Best Buy, especially that cashier guy on the kiosk in the middle of the store who rung me up so I didn't have to walk to the front of the store carrying 11 amiibos.

If you guys don't see anything in the amiibo section, just look around a little bit, they probably got so many they didn't know where to put them.

Huh, so was talking to a co-worker & he asked someone at Target since employee asked him if he was looking for someone specific, turned out they had a Charizard there in the back. Part of me wants to go in tomorrow to see if maybe they got other Wave 4 stocks (still looking for a Wario), but it's on the other side of town.

Also need to see about Greninja since he wanted that

Best Buy here in pueblo Colorado had a ton of dark pits and one lucario (I got that assuming I might not see him again) and some greninja, marth, olimar, a splatoon 3 pack but nothing else really. My wife was ecstatic that I found lucario since we thought we would never see him in person. No Mac though or shulk.
