You do realize the turbo is getting 5.1 while most those phones could be stuck on 5.0 indefinitely.
Sorry, I'm impatient. They promised the upgrade by the end of the year and it's already April.

I'm going to really miss Blinkfeed when I unfortunately have to switch. Still annoyed that HTC dropped the ball.
So google buys softcard and instead of updating the app create an entirely new app for the same purpose
Now i'm stuck with softcard on my phone and it can't even be used or deleted
If anything, Xperia Ultron sounds awesome. Sony messing up on a seemingly good strategy is nothing new.So many rumours running around these days. I certainly do hope talk about a new Xperia Z series Ultra phone is true. I've loved my Z Ultra for the 1.5 years I've had it, and would give a kill for an updated version.
AFAIK the rumours state the Xperia Z3 Neo will be announced April 20th, and the true Z4 will come in September. The rumours are indicating it'll come with an Ultra and Compact variant.
Damned if I can answer why Sony hasn't been doing that as their normal strategy. It makes sense for a compact, normal and ultra variant each year, even if they want to do the flagship refresh on the 6 month cycle. It bummed me out that there was no Ultra variant last year, but this year's looking promising
Hoping the rumours of it using Snapdragon 820 and Qualcoms fingerprint sensor tech are true. Can't wait to have a phone that supports PlayStation remote play too!
I have yet to find anything that I would say I like as much as blinkfeed. I think newsrepublic is the closest that I have gotten to my blinkfeed needs but flipboard is pretty meh
This is where the s6 takes another L.
Whoa, rad. Thanks for pointing that out.You can still use the Sense launcher if you really want Blinkfeed that much.

On a somewhat related note, upgrading to Lollipop on the m7 seems barely different. Surprisingly very little is different.
that Z5 render looks a bit odd. Smaller bezels and general design look nice, but that flap on the right is ugly - is that supposed to be the new power+fingerprint reader?
and is that an open microSD port on the bottom for charging? Would be good if they can waterproof that still
Google play services causing severe wake lock issues on latest cyanogenmod. lol...
patch coming next week, will have to wait until then to see what other bug pops up.

OK guys its almost upgrade time and I'm torn between the Xperia Z3 and the Galaxy S5.
On paper the Z3 sounds like the better phone in quite a few areas. I'm thinking of that plus magnetic charger leads instead of going wireless charging which you can apparently do using a special case.
Thoughts?
Uh any reason you're upgrading to last gen phones?

I vote LG G3. Why not that?Coming from an S3 and its my price range!

Z3 over an S5 easily.
If this year isn't a big jump forward (except for S6) then it is still a nice update from an S3
I'd go for a Z3 but I have one so maybe I'm biased. I use the magnetic dock which is almost essential because the flap over the USB port is otherwise annoying if you were charging it that way.
For what reasons?
I want to avoid opening ports unneccesarily. Hence using magnetic charging leads or if I got an S5 i was going to go for the whole wireless battery charger with new back panel.
This dock is it this? http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/products/accessories/magnetic-charging-dock-dk31/
Can you use it with any kind of case?
With the Z3 you can get a wireless charging case too.
Z3 is waterproof, battery lasts a couple of days, nice screen with ability to adjust colour etc, more stock android vs samsungs custom approach. Nicer design IMO vs the plastic S5. Also it might be interesting for you to try a different manufacturer?
DK48 for the Z3 I think. It comes with four different clip in adapters - 2 for Z3, 2 for the Z3 compact. One is slightly wider to allow for slim cases. I have a basic clear case on mine, moles a tempered glass front protector and its fine. Mainly use the case because naked it is very slippery (like the nexus 4 if you've ever handled that)
The dock isn't perfect - you sometimes need to slide it left/right a bit ot get it to engage, but I prefer it to using a cable. And you can set up the phone to launch an app when it docks - eg photo slideshow etc. I think you can also dismantle the dock to get the magnetic connector and use that like an apple MagSafe cable - just snap it on.
Ok Sammy...why the hell do notification sounds come out of the phone speaker when headphones are plugged in?

its part of the premium design
Yes, yes it is.Oh god I remember that shit from my S2 I absolutely fucking hated it. Is it still like that on the S6?
Are you trying to pick up the slack for Wreave while he's banned?
