I was thinking the same. Though apparently TfL are really against things like that. Could work with contactless payment being used alongside Oyster starting next year though.
Yeah, don't try making your own:

I'd take NFC in my smartwatch that would work on the tube as an oyster card. I know they are working to get that into phones but that is one area where having your ticket on your wrist would be helpful.
Also agree about the big data comments. Tracking steps taken and pulse for example is much more powerful if you do it all the time, rather than just when you remember to take your pedometer etc with you. That is something that will take time to filter through but will definitely be valuable longer term.
You still have a 4? You are going to be rocketed into the future with a 6. My girlfriend went from a 4 to a 5s and was amazed at how much faster it was.I love all this discussion, by the way. Good to know we don't have to wait long for it all to be revealed too. It'll be really interesting to see what gets announced tomorrow. I'll almost definitely be picking up a 6 at some point soon as my 4 is getting painfully slow, so I'm ready to Apple to sell me on it and get the hype levels up. Hopefully we'll see something new on top of what we already know.
Anything more on that KGI rumour that the new iPads may make an appearance tomorrow?

these numbers were published today;
Fairly even between the last 3 models. Imagine a lot of 4s/5 users are looking to upgrade.
I have had every even-calendar-year iPhone since the 3G released.
I have never used a case. I have never had AppleCare.
I have never broken one of my phones.
The iPad graph is pretty interesting, too.

Lots of old iPad 2s out there. Shows people are much slower to upgrade iPads than iPhones.
You know, I'd kind of consider a 5.5" if I were replacing both my phone and my iPad at once. But I don't really think I'd want to carry a large phone around like that. I'd have to see it in person when it comes out. I'll probably just end up going 4.7" and keeping my iPad mini. Either way I'm eager to see both. I hope they do at least show off the 5.5" and maybe some exclusive features it might get like split-screen. Those things are going to make my 5C look tiny.
I pretty much only use my iPad mini for videos these days. I don't know if I'd be able to watch on a smaller screen than the 8" I have now. But I'd like to see it in person. I don't think I know anyone who even owns a phone that size. I did see someone with a 7" Phablet in the wild once but that's it. As long as it's not so huge that I can still take it with me, but not so small that watching TV and movies on it is terrible (I've actually propped my iPhone up in front of my 15" laptop display and watched videos there before. It's like a picture in picture so the size isn't too much of a problem.) I'd consider the 5.5" as a complete replacement hands down.I have both a 5.5" OnePlus One and an iPhone 5. I find myself hardly using the iPhone because it seems so small to me at this point. I'll end up buying an iPhone 6, but don't think I could do smaller than the 5.5" model. By the way, I find a phone that big fits perfectly fine in my pants pocket.
The iPad graph is pretty interesting, too.

According to Macotakara, the 4.7-inch model will be known as iPhone 6″ while the 5.5-inch version will be called the iPhone 6 Plus. Apple has not used the Plus suffix for a product before, so that would be a first. This naming convention does not seem incredibly likely, but Macotakara did indeed accurately predict the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c names last fall. Leaning toward iPhone 6 being at least one of the two names is that the EXIF data shared by the reviewer of leaked 4.7-inch iPhone 6 hardware refers to the device as the iPhone 6.
+ MP?

I am so hyped for tomorrow omg.
iPhone 6 and iPhone Pro sound better to me.
The more important question - is the wearable going to be iWatch, iPod, iWrist, iTrack, iMeter, iBracelet or something totally different? I kinda like the re-use of the iPod name if they were to go in that direction. That was never specifically music, it's generic yet familiar enough to work.
A new report [Google Translate] from French site iGen.fr claims Apple may begin selling both of its iPhone 6 models at the same time. According to the report, which is based on the same source who accurately predicted previous Apple product launches, the two models would go on sale starting Friday, September 19. That has been the most widely expected date for the first wave of launches given Apple's previous announcement and launch patterns.
