Whenever I start youtube and look at my subscriptions, I see about 10 new games almost every day, if not more. Of course, not everything is good or AAA, but I wonder who is supposed to play all that? Or has that much money.
Shackles plays more JRPGs than the whole of J
Same as books. Tons of different niches and publics appreciating their own thing. Just because i'm here playing obscure boomer shooters doesn't mean i must play that other newest artsy hippie game.Of course, not everything is good or AAA, but I wonder who is supposed to play all that? Or has that much money.
Anime is the same issue.
It is a weird situation IMO, there is way too many bland by the numbers games with other undesirable quirks like HFW and below, and not enough fresh eye catching one offs, like the PS3 gen had in abundance.Whenever I start youtube and look at my subscriptions, I see about 10 new games almost every day, if not more. You don't have to play all of them.
Maybe the real games are the ones we played along the way.Buying games is the real game.
Most of them are wank anyway.Whenever I start youtube and look at my subscriptions, I see about 10 new games almost every day, if not more. Of course, not everything is good or AAA, but I wonder who is supposed to play all that? Or has that much money.
What You gonna do , what You gonna doBacklog. Backlog. Backlog.
You don't have to play all of them.
I meant rather that there can't be enough players for so many games in such a short time. You don't have to play them right away.
Everyone has their own interests, all these games aren't targeting the same people.I meant rather that there can't be enough players for so many games in such a short time.
It really just depends on how much time you have to dedicate to gaming. Lots of games can be finished in less than 20 hours, and for me that's fully doable in a week's time. If you distribute what you play evenly between new games, old games, retro games, etc. then you're really not buying more than 10 or so in a given year. On a year when a lot of things you want to play come out, the number might get closer to 20 (I'm personally at 18 new games purchased this year, and have another 4-5 left to buy of things I want to play). Finishing 52 games in a year is certainly doable, I'm currently at 45 completed so far. The length of the games you choose and the amount of time you have to game will have an effect on that number - for example if you play 500 hours of Call of Duty, you probably won't have time to play anything else. There are also tons of really great indie games that take less than four hours to complete, and if that's your cup of tea then you might find yourself playing tons of different things.

One might say that gaming grew with us.As someone who has very little time to game, it is overwhelming. Thankfully, most games are hot DEI garbage I can pass on altogether.
