what was the joke between Sally Sitwell's house and the moth/caterpillar? I didn't get that

i havent seen the last episode yet though if that will answer it

Sally has alopecia like her dad.

I'm an IDIOT for not getting that til just now!

Although I kinda feel guilty laughing at the sitwell-alopecia jokes since I've met someone in real life who has the condition for real

As an alpaca myself, I forgive you.

That was such a great moment for me. "How do you not know how to shave legs?"

That joke literally dawned on me as I was washing my face this morning, long after I had already watched the episode. Understanding that joke outside of watching the show was like reaching enlightenment. It was glorious.

It took a little while to settle in my brain, I suppose. :lol

The framing of the shots and quickness of it all make it easy to miss. I had to rewind to make sure I saw what I did.

just finished episode 2. The show feels so sporadic compared to the original. I don't know if it's because they are recapping past events or what. But it's kind of hard to appreciate all that is happening.

Maybe I'm going crazy, but I swear that I hear the Facebook chat notification sound effect during this season at random times. One specifically: 7:16 on episode 8.

EDIT: Nevermind, looks like I'm not the only one. Really weird.

Who is in the Thing suit?
<takes mask off> "...Gene Parmesan."
Ok, probably not, though the costume was left at his stall.

I still have not heard an explanation. Maybe the joke is that that sound makes you want to check another tab for a Facebook chat?

I don't think so, but I'm really trying to figure it out. :p

More like...
<takes off mask>
<takes off fake mustache he was wearing under the mask>
"... Gene Parmesan"

Something I just picked up...

From Maeby's episode:

There's mention of her $50K producer fee.

Maeby even said she was waiting for her Royalty check before this popped up, but it was funny everyone thought it was for a Maeby Facelift.

Also, "Do I smell an Opie in someone's future" haha.

Just finished it. Its not bad, but I think it could have been a lot better with a normal format. Sure, a lot of the misleads wouldn't work, but I think the material was strong enough to work without them. A lot of subplots could likely have been developed better, and fall flat since they come and go so fast. Gob's bee thing is never really explained, I feel the entire Sex Offender plot could have been fleshed out more (And I really dislike how they just diffused the thing in 15 seconds), you oddly never get to see Michael actually get the face blind guy out of jail.

Also, this season leaves the series in a worst spot then season 3. Season 3 was a very fitting end to the entire show, while season has so many lose ends, which will be problem if there really isn't a 5th season (I'm assuming Netflix just doesn't want to fully commit until they see the viewers it brings in, but I'm skeptical)

Yeah, we noticed lots of little things missing just from the original trailer alone. Although they definitely have backed themselves in a corner, it's highly likely it will be concluded one way or another, early reports from Netflix are good though.

Everything was too weird for me at first. Such a huge information dump. But then I got to the second Michael episode and damn this shit is amazing.

Yeah, I mean I just picked up the reference in there. THe show spells out what hte money was for.

Just nice to see it backed up again in a separate spot.

Watching the trailer, it reminds me that the Google Car thing is never elaborated on. It just sort of happens, he drives it, they used the fact in 2 or 3 jokes, that it.

I do wish one of the characters could have pointed it out when he and George Michael would doing their silly phone tag thing. It is a satellite linked car with 360 degree camera.

I might be alone in this, but when season 5 happens (and I think it will), I hope they return to 22-minute long episodes.

I feel like a lot of the weaker episodes this season could have been saved with some really tight editing.

I think it's a season really meant for rewatches, even moreso than the previous ones.

I liked the new format, and I liked the way they consciously avoided being like the other seasons in a lot of ways. But yeah, it NEEDS some sort of continuation, and I'd guess that they think it's a sure thing.

Plus they introduced some fucking amazing running jokes.

I actually really enjoyed this season now that I'm done with it. I have to hand it to them, this was an extremely daring concept and, though they were kind of forced to do it like this, I think they succeeded. The plot alone is so complex and interwoven, which is something I really like. Things like Maeby screaming "FUCK" and it sounding like animals were just great touches.

I also love how they didn't show you the mood in the room when most of the family was together in the apartment and Michael comes barging in, and then in GM's episode they show that they were all actually having a really good time before Michael ruined it. Stuff like that just really made this season special.

In Episode 15, I still can't believe George Michael was asking Gob for Advice on a girl after what happened with plant.

I thought he did it in order to do exactly the opposite of what Gob would do, because he knew that would be the right thing. I assumed thats why he answered Gob so fast. lol

That makes sense, although, it seemed like he really was searching for advice, but with what Gob said sounded so ridiculous, he then came to the realization, yeah, I'm just going to do the opposite of that.

Still a fun scene.

Come to think of it, when I left home and my parents were empty nesters i've never seen my dad so upset.

So the outrageousness of Michael losing it when he didn't have Tracy anymore too and was single and 40 something probably would be worse.

It's weird, because there's this beautiful picture of her:

enhanced-buzz-wide-31183-1369757432-31.jpg

That was from only a few months ago. So what happened between then and now? Maeby it was special makeup? or she did get a facelift before the show, it's uncertain. I still think she's very attractive.

Yea.... she's still hot. I blame lighting and the hair cut from the beginning of the season. It just was not a flattering cut at all.

Why is Debrie referred to as a "61 year old male with full cardiac arrest" by the doctor when she's being rushed to the ER after she eats the butter?

Possible hints:
-"Is that a girl, I see? No, it's just a phallus-see?"
-Marky Bark said something about males trying to "fool him" after having sex with Lindsay.
-And obviously it fits with Tobias being gay

Also, I thought Rebel Alley was going to turn out to be a porn star when she said she was "just sucking at the audition," but they didn't go anywhere with it.

Most definitely. IRRC they implied this in interviews before too. They knew the stakes of having the Netflick medium. It makes me wonder if some of the early reviews are premature wad-shoots.

I wasn't too ecstatic with the format the first couple of episodes, but after rewatching I can't see it being handled any other way. A lot of time has passed and explaining the past 7 years for each of the beloved characters at once could have been a much messier affair.

Was wondering the same..maybe she had the health of a 61yr old male because of her terrible lifestyle.

The "butterface" comment did get me pretty good though.

I think the joke is just that Debrie is just a total trainwreck physically, and not too good looking either. That's why she's mistaken for being a lot older than she is, and male multiple times. But I LOVE the idea of that being the reason for the "Phallus-See" thing
