As Britain cracks down on weapons, criminals turn to acid attacks (WaPo)

I'm going to need go see the statistics on 700 acid attacks in London last year and double that this year...

The way it was worded was confusing, but it sounds like they were referring to all of Britain. It was "According to the London Metropolitan Police and regional police chiefs"

That's depressing. Thanks for sharing.

I'm infuriated by how the cabinet is literally stuffed with millionaires born into privilege trying their best to cram as much public revenue into their coffers whilst the country crumbles. The dereliction of the NHS will go down as one of the greatest social injustices ever perpetrated in modern Britain. It's practically a genocide on the poor.

My local hospital only has 25% of the nurses it needs on some wards. That's also Theresa Mays local hospital! They don't care.

I met an acid attack victim the other day. Would not have guessed until he said, luckily the attack only just caught his face so he has no visible scaring but his upper arm is not a prettt picture and some went in his eye which has left permanent damage. He moved away from London because of the attack and i can't blame him.

You have to be a fucking nutjob to do that to people. Why would you want to do this. If you want to steal something, fucking steal it, don't go ruining someones life.

Anyone caught doing this must just be locked away for life as far as I am concerned. And to prevent it they should probably do some kind of checks when selling, but I don't know how you would implement it. No sales under 21, since a lot seems to be young people?
