Man, I wish it was 1080p on PS4. It's so obvious that it's not as sharp as it could be; I was more impressed with BF to be honest. Framerate ain't as bad as I thought it'd be, though I did have a scene where things slowed to a crawl early on, with a screen full of npcs doing crazy shit. Jury's still out on this for me, though it feels like it's gonna be a slow burn; just got my assassin gear, so I'm about to tax some ass.
Could you elaborate please?

It feels kinda slow , turning around and swinging the sword. I jumped into the game right after finishing Shadow of Mordor which was really fluid and fast , so it might not be as bad after i get used to it little more

Damn. Finished the "Youth in Versailles" part of the game and got hit with another "Installing" screen. Even with 80% of the game downloaded.
Really enjoying it thus far, but still in the tutorial stuff. I like how the controls feel more similar to ACII than ACIII.
Even though they come at a bit of a performance hit, the PCSS shadows look great, so I'm keeping them on.

90% of the people here are either waiting on the digital unlock or waiting for reviews. The floodgates open in 44 minutes or so.

So.... I just downloaded DS4Windows by J2K and was pleasantly surprised to find out that Unity actually uses the Playstation button overlay on PC when using a DualShock.
Damn, this should be a standard feature in all PC games going forward.

When does it unlock on PC/what client has it earliest? Would probably break down and pick it up on uplay if it's available now.

It was unlocked for me on PC now. I just input my GMG code and am currently playing from UPlay.

So you are able to just use plug and play with a DS4 and Unity? I use DS4 to Xinput (scpdriver.exe) but I always get the Xbox controller prompts.

So it detects the DS4? That's solid work. Shows they at least put some effort into the PC version.
Performance isn't too shabby either judging by the performance thread.

I downloaded the program from this Post and just hit install. I'm using the DS4 wired though. It's even easier now than it was in that post because you just click like two options.
I had to use the DS4 Health Checker from here though because I was apparently missing a component, but it downloaded it quickly and solved my issues.
I was actually really surprised when I saw the big, flashing X on the title screen.
Replied too quickly. I am not sure what edition is in the bundle. I got the pre-order edition digital and it downloaded the chemical revolutin mission.

That happened to me once. I'd recommend restarting UPlay. I got my good download speed back after that.
At 91% now and can't load into the game still. I guess I need the entire game to continue.
Seems like it's split up as follows: introduction = playable at 25%. "Youth of Versailles" = playable at 40%. Rest of the game = need 100%.

This parity debate is ridiculous. If ubisoft says both are the same on both consoles, why would they lie? Ps4 / X bone basically the same.the whole 60 Fps Is moot, these consoles can barely handle it.
Play the games/controller you like. Nobody cares what system you think is better. Fact is xb1 is much better, just calm down on the vitriol ps4 trolls. Take a breath, play sso and stop being such complainers. 99.9% of the gaming community doesn't see the hate and vitriol from the vocal 1% of the gaming community [you're bad we know]
If you want to be superior buy a 5k pc. If you want to play with friends go xb1, if you want to be an angry hermit go ps4 ... Most of us 99.9% could care less.

I didn't realise it when playing because I use headphones but when I let the game open in the map screen for 30 mins I noticed it was occasionally getting very loud.
Never happened to me with any other game.

Your 2 cents are worthless.
How big is the map or game world compared to Brotherhood, for example? Or the entirety of Assassins Creed 2? They suggested that it'd be their biggest city yet, but based on the map, it doesn't look that much bigger than any of their previous cities. Just talking about square miles or overall size, though; the fact that you can enter a lot of buildings will probably make it seem a lot bigger.

Just curious if anyone was able to get a copy at best buy at 9pm on west coast. The manager said only stores doing midnight release were able to sell the game. Everyone else had to pick theirs up tomorrow. told him I'd wait 15 min til closing. Told me to go home. Jerk lol

Projecting is just as idiotic. Take it to0 far and you can sound like a shill. Sure there was a lot of overreaction on here, but on the other hand it was from the horses mouth. Personally, I don't think the 'sabotaged' the PS4 version, but optimised more for Xbone because MS probably demanded Res parity because of the hoopla around Res. PS4 seems to even struggle on 900p. Part of that I would put down to them rushing this out the door too soon, partly their misplaced priority to have so many NPCs. They have got AI? So what, they do bugger and you can't interact with them in any meaningful way. It is not the first game I have seen with 5000 braindead NPCs.

Did the same thing with my tv. Increased my sharpness to 40-45. I usually keep it at 20. Game looks really really good on ps4.

I'm hoping it's bigger vertically .. If that's a word. I've been a huge fan since the 1st assassins creed and looking forward to unity big time! ... I'm just a casual gaming dude and ac is a great series. So what if I like it.
