They used bows in attack on Titan?

ahh pfft, you can't begin to grasp how useful a bow is against skyscraper sized monsters!

lol

I have yet to see one single from anime to live action movie that doesn't fails horribly. That being said, I do hope that this is the exception that confirms the rule :x

They obviously asked JJ Abrams, what was missing in each picture.

But seriously... Armin and Annie... come on, Annie especially was unique, she isn't same as any one else, without her proper traits, it's hopeless, mah waifu. Also Krista Lenz.

Cast is ok, but I'm not sure a live-action retelling of Attack on Titan is a great idea today.

Making the 3D Maneuver Gear traversal look good is going to be really difficult, even with all of the CG tools available. I just can't see this looking anything other than budget J-drama trash. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.

I'm expecting something similar to Gantz movies in terms of quality, watchable but still quite far from fulfilling source potential.

Maybe it's because I haven't seen the show in a while, but I feel like I don't recognize about half of the names, and those that I do, I wouldn't have been able to recognize. I wonder if the lens flare is a prominent character.

My understanding is that there are like 7 prominent characters made up for the movie and that's who most of these people are.

Geeze, Erin never looked so badass before.

I was gonna say I hope the film is western, but those shots looked so cool I feel I'm on board with this, even though Japanese cgi tends to be really shoddy looking[even more shoddy looking then our cgi].

I don't understand why they don't just correct the author when its apparent the author has no grasp on the language he's trying to translate into. Its clearly supposed to be Attack OF THE Titans (the pre-official translation title was often translated as "Advance of the Giants"), but they let the author dictate what the English title is so we ended up with official Engrish.

All of these people look 10 years too old to be playing the characters in Shingeki.

Yes, she is the only character who is Asian. The rest of them are apparently German going by their names.

Well they might have just made it Attack ON Titan because the story has to do with Erin wanting to fight back at the titans instead of hiding behind the walls
