Good gaming with you and rep again... 8)

L4D2 really is a fun video game.

I'm up to 120 hours in L4D2 now and about 45 of those have come within the last month or so.

Awesome, awesome game.

Still need to get that Expert cheevo though...

I don't have a lot of sympathy for players that can't follow what appears to be a pretty simple request.

Honestly sounds like this was just the straw and there were other things that these individuals in particular weren't doing.

A simple request for sure, but I can't see how players would be suspended for something so little. That's why I agree that it must be the straw. Something fishy must be happening that we don't know about.

It makes you wonder about all those rumours about Clarke not getting on with the team and stuff that have been going on for years.

We can start trying on expert if you want? We are finishing advanced pretty easily...

Expert requires a couple things though to be successful: Speed and no Friendly Fire.

I notice you screen capped this:

Wish I had footage of that run with the chainsaw. Haha.

Damn it Omi, now I look terrible! I run support most of the time :/

Also DAT CHAINSAW FINALE.

Khawaja hasn't had that issue in Queensland though. He's well liked, applies himself, and has done well. Maybe it really is a coaching issue. Bring in Boof!
Well Khawaja played pretty poorly in India so far.

Yeah I'm keen for it, other than a few unlucky situations where we got rushed by specials and hordes we did great.

Yeah I was thinking about setting up twitch.tv beforehand but I didn't end up doing it.

Regretted it in the end, it looked fucking amazing as you were running along. There were just body parts and infected flying everywhere. I couldn't stop laughing.

Yah.

What other cheevos do you need/want?

I do have the source recorder setup on my box, I should always have it running, :x

One I've always wanted is the melee tank takedown.

There are some others from the Survival and Gas Collection gametypes as well.

EDIT: just watched some quick footage of the Helms Deep survival map on YouTube and it looks amazing!

He still has the exact same issues with his batting though. He was only averaging 39 in the Shield this year. Not particularly spectacular.

How learner friendly is left for dead? Played it a few years back, and haven't played since.

It's pretty good, especially using mics as talking makes it a lot better. It's probably not a great idea for you to start on Expert =P but we can play some Normal and Advanced games at some point too.

I dislike Versus just because it turns me into a terrible person. I would be up for playing more of it.

Versus is a little bit harsher to new players because you need to play at least one or two games to know what the special infected do, and how to play as them.

I get really tired these days but if y'all start paying a bit earlier - around 8.30ish, I can be on and play some.

Aon, she wasn't sure if she should take another one or not, I just said go for it if there are a few free. She will happily give up one if required.

FFS doctors, get some fucking handwriting lessons or something. Sat around a pharmacy all break waiting for the moron to fax through a script that is legible for them but no dice.

I mean, how can he forget to write penicillin on a post-op script for removing wisdom teeth? Idiot. Fills me with confidence for Friday :/

Naa of course, the best thing is that people play the game and just go whole hog making cool stuff.

I'm drumming up some excitement and narrative to the region is all :D

I was trying to work out why my farming scoring was so different to the online version etc, and I think I have to sussed out...
Unless one has more farmers than someone else in a region, because then (at least with the online version) only the person with the most farmers gets the points. If an equal number of farmers for each player, they share points.

e.g. If red had 2, blue had 2, green had 1, then red and blue would both score equally.

Least how that's how I understand it...

Yeah, they changed the scoring rules for farms in 2005. Note that the old rules also gave 4 points per city.
Huh... Guess I'm playing the old rules, even though I bought it last year because I'm sure that's how the scoring works in mine...

Yeah Versus is really unfortunate for new players.
Totally using that as my excuse.

Would be up for more L4D2 in co-op or versus.

I think other than one time where there were about 8-9 people, we've always done 3-4 people in co-op.

I get really tired these days but if y'all start paying a bit earlier - around 8.30ish, I can be on and play some.

I get home from work at around 6.00-6.30pm so I'm free pretty much any time from them. Missus is working nights at the moment so I can play any evening during the week up until about 11.00pm.

Our main objective this week will be L4D2 campaigns in Expert and maybe some other game modes for cheevos.

I'm free from 6:30pm with a quick stop between 6:30-7:30pm to clear out a poopy nappy. Damn child has been holding in his poop all day until he gets his nightly pull-up. Lazy bugger doesn't want to wipe his own bottom. :/

Means he has to go to bed earlier as a result so we can go through the circus and have him in sleep mode by 7:30pm!

I really really need to get to bed by 10pm soon though, making it hard to get up in the mornings.

I have to do some quick shopping when I get home from work tonight, but it should only take me about 15-20 minutes, so I should be ready to go by around 7.00pm at the latest.

I'll just smash some SP until everyone's online/ready.

I think Omi and Myself sorta said fuck it yesterday on steam chat and went with Elephant and wheels.

Unless you guys actually have any other ideas, we may as well just say it's that and be done with it.

So it's still ages away, but it's looking like the main AusGAF meetup at PAX Aus will be on the Saturday evening. We have people both arriving on Friday (jambo) and leaving on Sunday (Shanshan), so it makes the most sense.

We'll probably do some other times too, as there's no reason why we have to do only one event, but this will likely be the big one.

For anybody that is attending and hasn't indicated it on the Google Form, please fill it in.

We'll determine the time and venue for the meetup closer to the date, although it's almost certain that it will either be near the Showgrounds, or around (or at) Crown Casino, given several of us out-of-towners seem to be within walking distance of that area and it seems pretty central.

You guys in Melbourne could try the European Bier Cafe, or Cookie, or James Squire, or maybe even Mrs Parmas in that area. There's also a decent izakaya with a ton of sake and good Japanese beer selection near... Lonsdale and Russel? Or possibly Red Hummingbird for rum... Not sure if you're after food or booze or both though.

All I know is that I'm going to eat some damn Schnitz while I'm in Melbourne, and drink some beer. That will keep me happy.

RE: BoB - How many days off work did he give you? Also I thought you worked in warehousing or something. Or was it a team building exercise or something?

Cricket. I think.

Edit: Unless that was your joke too, in which case I hang my head in shame.

Did he pull you off a project where your presence was more likely to ensure that projects success?

The project had already fallen apart, it was a report on how I and the team could improve to better tackle future projects.

Being cheeky about the cricket, I don't have a job at the moment (studying aged care).

Guys my boss asked me to write a report but when I didn't bother he reprimanded me I don't understand.

You were probably one of the best workers too i bet! But oh well, too bad, didn't hand in a 3 sentence thing, now you're fired and now your project is even more screwed then it was before. Your boss sure is stupid.
